My entry to the DeviantStyle contest.

I wanted to do something totally different from what everyone else was doing and also totally unexpected in the way i mixed a sort of goofy element into what you first preceive to be an almost noir action strip.

I called it Agent 8 'cos there are 8 emoticons.

I love the final product and how it all came out in the end.

hope you like

written, penciled, inked, coloured and lettered by me. phew!

It feels like forever since the last time I painted. I had so much fun painting this one in one day to the point where I want to paint another one as soon as possible. This is my entry for Tomb Raider Reborn Contest. You never know what happens unless you go for it.

5 hours in CS5.

When I heard Del Toro was judging a contest on Deviant Art I was like.... omfg YES! So here's my entry for the DevArt Scared Stiff contest. When I was a kid I had a very active imagination and I translated such experiences into this piece. Here is a little girl, she had crowned herself the owl princess of the backyard and would save her toys from the vicious swamp frogs and turtles that inhabited it. Then, at night these self created characters would come to life in her dreams and turn into nightmares, seeking out retribution and vengeance. So eventually, every creak and bump in the night would scare her into thinking she was going to be attacked. Until one night...

Done in ink, watercolor, and digital.

People can be receptive, ugly, negative, cold hearted...

Sizzle thy mouth with a Dr. Pepper, and Lighten Up.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Took my time with this. Concentrating moreso on the message and worrying about being technical later lol.

Hope you guys can relate to this.

- peace out

Ancient and medieval history was my passion when I was young (and still is :D ). I wanted to go to archaeological studies but finally I chose IT - computer graphic specialization (I made this decision after watching Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings, hehe). So my art refers to this dream about archaeology. It would be great to discover some ancient city, to see places which haven’t been seen for ages by any human being. Another element which is connected with my childish dreams is the helicopter. Almost every boy wants to fly, to be a pilot. Also everyone knows that aeroplanes are better than helicopters, but in my opinion these second are more usuful for archaeologist ;P

Now something about making of. First I made a 3d models and then I used some render’s passes to paint over them. So this work is a mix of 3d and 2d techniques. The city design is inspired by Aztec Tenochtitlan's temple district.

Tools:
3d Studio Max
Vray
Photoshop
Wacom Graphire4 Classic graphic tablet

Short Explanation: Here's my entry for DeviantArt's 11th Birthday Skribble Contest.

Long Explanation: I started this contest as soon as it popped up in my inbox and got about half way through a piece that had sharks floating in space when I finally checked out some of the submissions and noticed that everybody was doing some kind of marine life thanks to shark week...so I started over.

Thank god I did because I am fairly new to using Manga/Comic Studio and I think I learned a lot from starting the other piece so that I was able to come up with something far more creative and something that I was infinitely more happy with.

My previous attempt can be seen here: [link]

As for this piece - I was so nervous about doing something with the lines that I wasn't supposed to (I read the rules like a million times) that I kept them on a separate layer the entire time so as not to mess with them even though I wanted to make them thinner or tapper soooo badly I was too afraid. If you can't make out the lines I have made up a cheat sheet here: [link]

Soooo long story short - thanks DA for the contest and the opportunity to create a piece that is the first one I am truly happy with in a long time.

Comic/Manga Studio, Photoshop CS5

LATE HOURS- As most artist do, we do all our works best in the evening hrs. At times, I wondered how chilling it would be
when everything is silent and just when you think you are safe and least expect, something is hiding beneath your table.
A Scare, is not a place you might think something might appear but a place that you might not.
Did you look under your table? Try it tonight..
