Interview with `loish
~MemoiresDuneFille asks "Loish, what inspired you to become an artist?"
I can't say that anything specific really inspired me. It was more a natural progression. I have been drawing since I was very young and honestly do not remember when I even started doing it, but I do remember always enjoying it and seeing it as my 'talent' throughout elementary and middle school. By the time I had to make a career choice in high school, I decided to do pursue it professionally because I just couldn't stand dividing my time between schoolwork and making my personal drawings. It was torture! So I felt I had to do it in order to stay sane :] That's pretty much how it went!
*merry-zazoue asks "You're doing both animation and illustration, how can you manage to have a good level in both? I'm an animation student and I love illustration too, do you have any advices? Aside working like crazy of course! I'm already doing it ^^"
I think the main reason I do both is because

He couldn't believe he had forgotten about her.
How? How was it even possible?
As his footsteps pounded on the cement sidewalk, as his breath came in ragged gasps, he only had one thought in his mind.
I have to see her.
Rounding the turn and entering the grounds of Gekkoukan High, he ignored the stares of all the students as he headed straight for the school, straight for the roof. He remembered the meeting place she had told him when he was in his coma. He remembered every one of her visits his consciousness had been so kind to be there for. Even if he had been unable to move his body, he was still able to have some form of alertness, and strangely, everything during that time except the visits from her were muffled, hazy, as if looking through a foggy window. The rest of the time, when his awareness did slip, his mind was filled with thoughts of her.
"We decided to make the roof our meeting place, after all of this is over," he remembered her saying quietly,

I never thought I'd need you there when I cry
And the days feel like years when I'm alone
And the bed where you lie is made up on your side
You didn't like it when he was gone...it made you feel lonely somehow. And you couldn't see why. You were a person who...just liked to be alone without people. You didn't really need anyone...until you met HIM.
Allistor and you had been together for a while. You're first actual relationship. And it was odd that it was with HIM of all people. You didn't get it. You lived together in a good apartment...not perfect, but as long as you were with him, it was like heaven. But his job as the personification of Scotland meant that he had to leave for meetings and such things. Even though Arthur was the representation of the entire country, Allistor still had to go to the meetings. And the meetings took up a week to two weeks out of the month. And to make matters worse, they were in the middle of the month.

THE CROSS & THE CRESCENT
An Interfaith Dialogue between . Christianity and Islam
By Jerald Dirks
excerpt from the preface:
"As recently as last century, it was not uncommon to find Christian men and women prefacing a book by invoking . the name of God. Today, that is a rare occurrence, and often the cause of a raised eyebrow in what is becoming an increasingly secular world. Within Christianity, such a formal invocation of the name of God has become anachronistic and out of fashion. In contrast, most publications by Muslim writers commence with the invocation "Bismillah al-Rahman ai-Rahim", which reads "in the name of God, most Gracious, most Merciful". As such, one still finds within the Muslim world the continuation of a practice that was formerly quite common within the Christian world. Similarly, in days gone by, Christians frequently interspersed a statement of their intentions or of their predictions by saying "God willing". This served as an a

THE LIES ABOUT MUHAMMAD
How you were deceived into Islamophobia
By Moustafa Zayed
excerpt from ‘why this book?’ and the preface:
I could have gathered all the known fabrications and lies about Islam or Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and answered them one after the other in an indexed way. Why choose the Robert Spencer book "the Truth About Muhammad" to answer and refute its claims and accusations, page by page and paragraph by paragraph?
I wanted to show how far the intentional fabrications against everything Muslim have gone, and in details of its process and how it is done.
I wanted to demonstrate how parts or full Holy Quran verses are omitted when their translations don't fit the author's Allegations, how only well-known fabrications and unreliable sources are used to support the most extreme of opinions, and worse, how sometimes zero evidence whatsoever is the basis of the weirdest of claims.
This is not some difference in opinions, tastes, o

"Excuse me sir." You said as politely as possible tapping the end of your ball point pen on the desk in front of you repeatedly.
The man stepped forward pointing at himself with a puzzled look, "Me?"
"Yes you; what are you doing with that lawn chair?" The pale man looked into your eyes and he flashed a crooked smile that perched on one half of his face. You just now seemed to notice that what ,from far away, looked like pale blonde hair was actually jet white.
"You want to know what I'm doing with this chair?" His wicked red eyes cast a thought of sin into yours.
"Yes... that is what I said, did I not?" When done saying this you licked the back of your upper teeth and smiled flashing white teeth behind (Skin c/r) skin.

Another gradient morning had appeared before the atmosphere. As you awoken, you smiled as you glanced upon the beautiful setting before your eyes. Today was just another ordinary day for you; you sheepishly arose from your bed, rubbing the sleep off your tired eyes and began getting ready for school. You picked out your clothes, and headed to the shower and began to strip off your pajamas.
As you're in the shower trying to tidy yourself, lets get to know you better; your name is [Name] [Surname], you lived in a lovely home in the country of [Country], and you were happy living with your mother and father. Unfortunately one day, they both disappeared somehow. Later you found out that they were found by death after a tragic car crash, which then had appeared on the news. It was really devastating when you heard about it because you were their only child and just thinking about always brought the tears. Oh how much you loved and missed over those years.

I did what any of us would have done when learning that my Internet service had been shut down. I cried.
Actually, that's not completely true. The first thing I did was frantically dial up the campus tech people, who told me the problem would be resolved in an hour. Anyone who has ever dealt with Electronic Device Repairpersons should already know that "an hour" in their language translates into "sometime between an hour and the rapture."
So I waited an hour. Then I cried.
How could I possibly function without instant access to news, entertainment, and all that other stuff that's just sort of there? What could I do in place of checking my e-mail every 20 minutes and playing Slingo? This was a major problem.
But after a moment of despair, I dried my tears with the hanky of determination. I would not let this defeat me! I had lived happily before without the Internet and I could live the same way now! I only had to remember how.
I first tried reading an ancient text recording from when p

You slumped in your seat. You were waiting for that boyfriend of yours with your friend, (f/n), hoping to go on a fun double date with her and her own man. The catch was, they were both still working.
“You remember the time we first saw Ludwig? And what happened after that?” she snickered into your ear. You scoffed with a smile. How could you forget?
You were working as a cashier girl in a café at the local mall. You were pretty happy the customers that came in so far that morning were also nice and happy.
When the line was finally empty, (f/n), who apparently worked the same shift and station that day, started mindless chatter while still keeping tabs on who’s next in line. You continued to chat with her, until you looked up to see a tall, well-built man with slicked-back blonde hair and strikingly light blue eyes. You and your friend did double takes.

The Price of ArtWhat determines the price of art? What is art worth? Is it really worth anything? Why should people buy art?The Price of Art5 years ago in Articles & Interviews More Like This
First of all, the major point in all of this is that the price of art is completely subjective, meaning that its value is mainly determined by the person viewing it. The second part of the value of artwork is determined by the cost of materials, and the cost of the artist's time, as well as how in demand their work is. Then there are different price scales for Fine Artists, Graphic Artists, Illustrators, Freelance Artists, Web Designers, etc. All of these factors add up to the price of artwork.
For my purposes, I will discuss Fine Art and Illustration, which is what I am most familiar with.
With fine art, the price tags can run incredibly high. This is where the price is most subjective, because something that is crap to one person is priceless in worth to another. Art speaks to all of us in different ways.
That's all well and good, you may say, but what about those huge canvase

I was only sixteen years old when they took me in for training. Back then they always took in the recruits at a fairly young age. Maybe they thought we'd be easier to control or maybe it was just lack of experience. What the reasoning is I really don't know. I suppose the best place to start explaining would be when I was at the age of thirteen.
I had recently met someone by the name of Jeremy, who will play a large role in the events that follow. At one point he read to me a few verses from something one might call a prophecy. It's hard to describe what I felt upon reading from the passages. Although I never recalled seeing or reading anything like it before, it was like there was some kind of connection between it and my mind. I recognized the words, the verses; everything about it seemed familiar to me and it sent chills through my body. You see that was one of the older and more thorough methods of classification.
I should have known right from the beginning that my life would neve
