Texture Your World ContestTell us the story of your world in textures!Texture Your World Contest4 months ago in Contests More Like This
We are surrounded 24 hours a day by objects that have texture, they may be smooth or bobbly, old or new, bold, bright, shiny or dull. You might see a texture every day and never notice it until you start looking. Do you sit at a desk that's textured, or pass an interesting tree on the way to work or school?
We want you, in the form of a triptych (thats 3 images forming a larger image see example here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triptych ) to tell us the story of your textured world. Each individual texture should stand on its own, both as a useful resource and as a cohesive part of the whole story. What story you tell through your texture triptych is up to you - but they must be textures that tell a story of your world in some way.
There are 3 categories for this contest, each of which you can submit to twice.
Digital stock
These are textures created digitally by either manipulation of other stock

Great concept and perfect composition. This painting is wonderful example how something very abstract, as feelings and thoughts, can be visualized by colors and shapes created by very flowing brush strokes.

Quite apart from the technical ability of this deviant I really like the out of focus lower portion of this as it draws even more attention to the face. A beautifully r

I think that he knew what I meant to do before he even did it, and I was waiting in my helplessness as if I'd been waiting for years. He pressed his bleeding wrist to my mouth, said firmly, a little impatiently, "Louis, drink." And I did.Contest - The Blood is the Life... results8 months ago in Personal More Like This
Congratulations to everyone who entered my little contest about vampires. I am extremely happy with the results, and am glad you all sent in an amazing piece of vampire visions. To show this, I will first review every entry that I have received:The first entry I received. The artist was not sure about his vision, but I liked it a lot. Drawing is not all about technique, but more about the vision. I like the male vampire a lot. The hat gives him a 'Victorian Times' look, which I really like.

Let me share...:icontransparentplz:Let me share...9 months ago in Art Features More Like This
Hello my friends :iconcocowaveplz:
You know how much I love being here on dA and how deeply thankful I am for being able to contact with so many talented, kind, generous and truly wonderful artists. How well they receive me among them, talking to me and giving me their friendship, to me!, an art lover but not an artist, and how they amaze me each time they post and share another work.
Let me share with you 3 of the most amazing pencil wizards:
Robyn *robdolbs is one of those artists, very young but with a huge talent (in my opinion, and I said this to her more than once, she reached perfection - of course she, as a true artist, won't recognise this and will continue to work hard to be better and better).
See for yourself:![]()

First, the results of that "Watchers Feature!" test some of you helped with: after 2 weeks there's still less Favs than people featured on the latest one http://diamond4girl.deviantart.com/journal/WATCHERS-FEATURE-pt-23-318773207 , but nonetheless, with some more Favs than usual, the feature ended up in the Footer for about a day and half and your works have been seen by 3-4 times more people than usual. (1100+ on the latest one vs. >400 views on the few previous ones). Thank you all who helped with the test.I consider my theory relatively proved, so it's up to you what you do in the future. Btw, glad some of you finally figured out you can fav Journals!

In case you missed it, but you're interested, I wrote a little "tutorial" on making features, especially big/huge ones and all in extremely time saving and easy way AND with your thumbs all arranged nicely in your Journal http://diamond4girl.deviantart.com/journal/Tutoria

For anyone who hasn't yet met her, she is one of the most active people on dA with her support in exposing others art through features and DD suggestions. So I thought it was about time someone did a bit of a thank you for her gorgeous work and as a way to show appreciation for all of the efforts she puts in here on dA.
So here is a very small selection for you to browse, please head over to her gallery for much more![]()
