Similar Deviations
After approximately 168 hours of playing video games, sleeping, walking on my treadmill, watching movies/anime, and doing leisure activities that are rare for me, I've decided to start another project.

It is said that when people die, they become stars. A group of people from different parallel universes and planets go on a journey to travel outside the Solar System and bring back loved ones who have passed away.

I suppose you could call it a dating sim about aliens, but technically they are all human… just from different planets in different parallel universes in which their planet is the only known one to be able to support human life.
(example: in one universe, Mercury has oxygen/water and is the 3rd planet from the sun while Earth is the 1st.)

Right now you see 4 bachelors, but this game will have a total of 8… at least one (if not two of them) will be a bachelorette.

EDIT: It's now out! :'D

Hope you enjoy.

All right. I hibernated for the rest of the summer. Now it’s time to get back into action.

More info on this here

This is Texting Days Sim Date *cough* I mean *cough* Number Days Sim Date. But don’t be fooled. I promise you, there is very little to no math involved in this game…

(And yes, you can date the chick. If you’re grossed out by this option or if you’re just simply a straight girl with no desire to explore, you can avoid all the romantic situations by ignoring her… this also applies to any dudes that gross you out.)

Release date: December 2012
(You may be wondering: "The beginning, middle, or... end of the month?" It's hard to predict the exact day I can release it but it'll be ready within December, I'm pretty sure of it) ;w;

(Please note that I’m not home as often as I was back in the past. Classes are longer for me and I’m working more now. Overall, these projects take time and I highly appreciate the patience you guys have for me. I wish to get to done before 2013, but the month of release has yet to be determined. If I’m not finished by December 21, 2012 and if the world actually comes to an end… well then I’m out of luck.)

"It's a hawt boi!"

Decided to draw Honeydew and the gang to commemorate this... this... I can't... what. I still can't even... :heart: It's just too beautiful ;A;
While Festival Days Sim Date was one of my first (and pretty crappy) sim dates, it's actually not my least favorite. For what I knew back then, I still achieved a lot...? C'mon, I made that game when I was 15 which was like a million years ago *cough*3*cough* alksdfjlasdkflsd

I can't believe how far they actually got though. Wow they even unlocked Ren ;7;

Might take a while to load... :U
I hope Mr. Steve Jobs doesn't roll in his grave because of my *cough* poorly done "iPod" parody here.

People requested it, so here it is! A list of all of the songs used in Number Days Sim Date!
(Note: These are the cut and edited versions. When you download them, they may sound different because they are the original ones)

When you click on the download button, your computer should automatically download the file and it'll show up in the place where ever you set your downloads to go to.
If your internet's being a butt, you can look up the titles and download directly from this site.

:pencil: If the site's not working for you, there are other sites that have it available for you to play (just google "number days sim date" and you should be able to find them) sorry for any inconvenience ;o;

It’s December! And I’ve miraculously managed to release this game on the 1st… ;7; (seriously, I planned for this to be out way later this month)
Can this count as an early holiday gift to all of you lovely people…?

Sorry if the dialogue seems rough in some places, I got sick partway through making this game (I’m still kind of sick actually) and when I’m sick, my writing can become blaaaahhh…

:star: There are 8 different endings and 5 characters of possible friendship and romantic interest.

:bulletyellow: This sim date is probably the least "sim date-y" out of all of my dating simulations. I guess it could be described as part adventure, part dating sim, and part strategy? Somewhat, I'd say... some parts of this might drive you "easy-going players" a little nuts. ;w; This game isn't easy for everyone.

:bulletyellow: If you’re really not interested in the story and just want the romance, then make sure to select Free Mode in the menu where you fill out your name, select your star sign, etc. But do note that the romance may feel a bit rushed if you skip all of the story scenes… and the game play may seem a bit confusing to some because it skips all the tutorials too.
Another note about Free Mode: it's good for getting other events and endings you perhaps didn’t get when you played the first time through in Story Mode. It's also good if you just want to collect all of the pressed pennies, stickers, and photos.

:bulletyellow: I’m not sure if I’m going to make any sort of walk-through or guide for this. People seem to be pretty good at figuring things out and those who can’t figure it out normally find the solutions via Google searches or from the comments on here.

For Bug/Glitches
I apologize if you run into any bugs or glitches. (seriously, they are not cute and I do not pity them like Vanellope in Wreck-It Ralph)
There shouldn’t be any (that cause big issues), but some of them are sneaky… so they were missed during the debugging process. But if you do find any, you can describe the problem in a comment on here and I’ll take care of it.

If your number is 99, just walk around everywhere. It means that someone has yet to expire...

And there are always those few spelling/word errors in my stuff, no matter how much I reread and check the script. If you want to tell me about any, either quote it in a comment on here or just describe the basic context of the conversation. I should be able to find it.

Thanks for the help.
And thanks for playing! ;o;

3/28/14: Because this game was published using a trial of a version of Flash that I do not have anymore and the current trial of Flash CC available on Adobe doesn't support ActionScript 2.0, it'll take me a while to get this game available here on deviantART. Not sure what will exactly happen to the link this leads to when Mochi Media shuts down on March 31st, 2014. I'm guessing the server won't even be up anymore though. This this might be down for a while, just sayin'. I'll get it working here hopefully soon ;o;

:pencil: If that site doesn't work for you, you can find other sites to play it on with a simple Google search.

:new: EDIT: I just submitted a newer version with less bugs. Thanks guys! (seriously, some of those bugs... I probably would have never found on my own)

This project felt too long for me. Now I’m going to walk a million miles on my treadmill, play Sims 3 as if there was no tomorrow, hibernate for the rest of the summer, dance until my legs fall off, eat every edible thing in my house, and derp on the internet forever.

Memory Days Sim Date’s game play is a bit different from my other dating simulations. 3 datable guys, a butt load of cut scenes, and 10 different endings. (some endings are a bit trickier to get than others... some endings are pretty bizarre too.) If you’re really new to my stuff, I’d recommend going through the overview at the beginning.
I’ve never done this before, but I might create a walkthrough for this game later... unless if there’s this really devoted and clever person out there who figures out how to do everything and makes a guide themself.

Characters

:bulletpink: Ai (renamable): You, the player character. Overall she’s reserved and a bit introverted which causes her to be awkward sometimes. Spends a lot of time thinking and is more perceptive than most people.
:bulletblue: Haru: Takes social discomfort to a new level. The player character doesn’t seem awkward at all compared to him. His personality is deep and he’s the most sensitive and romantic guy out of the bunch.
:bulletorange: Daichi: Outgoing, fun, and kind of a dork. He’s honest and humble which makes him easy to talk to. Though he seems to be all smiles, there are times when he’ll take things pretty seriously.
:bulletgreen: Kai: A very compassionate and kind person. Tends to be more frisky and daring when he’s around people he cares for. Occasionally he’ll be too forward and drive people away from him.

I’m surprised by the feedback I’m getting from this game.
I really thought that half of the people out there were going to love it while the other half would’ve loathed it due to all of the "adventure/quest" aspects, odd strategic game play, and lack of romance.

I’m glad many of you think I’m improving. I really try to. I’m not that great of a writer, illustrator, or coder, but can I get an A+ for effort? ;7;
(I’m the type of person who’s just okay at a few skills of trade, but not highly talented or specialized in one…)
For a while, I was thinking that I was losing my touch with dating sims but I think I’m getting some of my muse back.

But guys. All of you. Thanks. I’m still kind of in disbelief that so many people took a liking to this game. I want to keep on working hard so that I can bring all my ideas to life and share them with all of yooouu…! :iconrazycryplz:

By the way, since you’re reading this, would a list of the songs played in this game (and download links) tickle anybody’s fancy? I’m just going to put that out there… not sure if anyone cares that much about them…

Happy New Year, Everyone~
If that link doesn't work for you, try this one. (More alternate sites to play this game on can be found via Google)

It’s finally done! Thanks for the patience. I spent a lot of time debugging so hopefully there won’t be any big issues while you play.
:bulletgreen: EDIT: Some people see dialog cut off at some points. I increased text box sizes, so hopefully no one gets that anymore. The 100 item thing should be gone too now... and Elias also got his face back.

There are 17 different endings (And 17 cheats codes too...) In my opinion, all but one of the endings are pretty decent so... don’t hesitate to get them all?
:bulletgreen: Hint: All the characters except Aiden have 2 endings. Aiden has 3 because *cough* spoiler *cough* he doesn't have a parallel self in Karina's world because that's actually where he belongs. So if you end the game with Aiden without getting far enough into the relationship, he'll just stay there while you go home. Note that this ending is the only "bad" one in my mind.

:star: You guys can also vote for your favorite character here.
(A special thanks to an anonymous deviant for donating a membership to make this possible)

HRRGGGHHH... now it’s time... for me to get some well earned rest...

Lunar Days Sim Date Info:new: It's out now~ :thumb277108306: Have fun and happy new year~ :new:

Sooo much for being lazy. Got this journal done a lot soon than expected.

Da dun dun dun daaaaaa~ ♫
This is my current project: Lunar Days Sim Date. Here, I already made a FAQ so don't ask unnecessary questions:

:bulletgreen: Q: Release date?
A: idk. tba. Maybe around 2012 like how it says on the poster above? Around January 2012...

:bulletgreen: Q: How many characters are datable?
A: Eight. Four are unlockable though.

:bulletgreen: Q: What about Xolga and Mr. Toko? ;A;
A: Like Chrono Days, they will be running shops in this game. Mr. T

It's been a really, really long time since I've done a doodle dump...

Possible spoilers here, but those who haven't played Number Days Sim Date probably won't get these references anyway. ;7;

I'm going to get hunted down for the last picture, aren't I...?

This is probably by far the girliest looking thing in my gallery at the moment... (really, I don't use pink often in designs)

ANYWHO.
THIS.
THIS IS... my next project.

It's not a complete remake of this and this, but a new sim date based on those two games. (this is similar to how Lunar Days Sim Date was based off the comic "Emerald Moon"... most characters/main story/ideas stays the same, but it did go through some distinct changes)

Now I don't plan on remaking any other sim dates. Anime Sim Date 2.0/2.5 are special because one, they were pretty much the first dating simulations I made... and two, they are both ridiculously outdated but still have some potential to be great in my view.
If you didn't like these guys in Anime Sim Date 2.0/2.5, don't worry. They are veteran sim boys now. They've been training hard and will definitely show off more charm in this game.

:bulletpink: Confirmed characters: Haru, Daichi, Kai

:bulletpink: Why are there less characters to choose from? This game will focus on building relationships over time. (see new date/time system below)

:bulletpink: There will be at least one unlockable/secret character (note: Sakka may OR may not be in this game. More planning needs to be done...)
EDIT: I'm starting to think that I may have to break my promise of having a secret character in this game... I'm just not feeling him, y'know?

:bulletpink: The "player character" will be "Ai"

:bulletpink: Game play might be a little more "visual-novely" than "RPG-ish"

:bulletpink: Instead having 30 days/a month to win the hearts of the sim boys, the whole game will be broken down into four 7 day weeks, each week playing through a season. (autumn, winter, spring, summer)

:bulletpink: There's a lot of art and writing that has to be done. This project is going to take a while, but my ultimate goal is to get it done within this summer.

More updates likely to come! Stay tuned~ ;w;
