I was surprised by how many of you guys requested Rum and Captain on my last poll...decided to give the people what they want ;) These two would fit together so well, if they'd just roooootate about 10 degrees to the left ;P

Um so obviously I didn't draw this...
~shuangwen drew it for me after I won 1st place in *HisanaKuchiki's contest awhile back. My cousin ~kyosgirl11 personally requested that I upload it to my gallery, and I can never say no to her plus I've noticed that a lot of my watchers think he's hot. Especially you ~twinklingtara.

Characters from a story I've had floating around in my head for awhile now...

Their names are Captain (left), Rum (center), and Lackadaisy (right, AKA "Lack", "Lackluster", "Lackey", "Lackwit" etc). I won't give a full description of the world/plotline, in case I do end up writing it, but I'll give you a basic outline of their personalities and relationships:

Rum has a power similar to waterbending and is capable of tremendous acts of destruction, but she is terminally ill with an autoimmune disease that sometimes afflicts people in the world of the story (this is the reason for the dark circles under her eyes). Rum struggles to ignore the fact that all her vast power means nothing in the face of a body that's falling apart with her inside it. She is a girl who suffers a lot from fear and doubt, and she desperately searches for something to fight for. Fortunately for the plot, she's not actually gonna die. :XD: She is granted a reprieve from her death sentence in the form of the girl on the right, Lackadaisy, who has healing powers. Lackadaisy can't cure her, but through daily healings, she will be able to keep Rum alive indefinitely. Speaking of...

Lack is a petty thief and con artist who's in it for the lulz and doesn't care about the consequences. She's fun-loving, clever, and mischievous, but also greedy and manipulative. Her healing power is utterly wasted on her; instead of using her ability to selflessly help others, she extorts money out of people in desperate need of medical help and then still complains about what a lame power it is. She admires and covets Rum's destructive power, and she heals Rum in exchange for loyalty and "bodyguard services". This leads to a sort of co-dependence between the girls, with each relying on the other, yet neither one totally trusting the other. Rum especially fears that Lack will leave her, thus condemning her to death, but there's some indication that Rum is one of the few people that Lack actually likes enough never to abandon. Then again, it's really hard to tell with her...

To the left we have Captain, the guy I've been shoving in your faces for nearly a year now (for some reason he's looking especially like a Korean pop star today. In fact, if you really look at his pose here, you'll realize that he's poised to stroll straight out of the frame and launch into a badly dubbed boy band rendition of Singing in the Rain) ;P Anyway, my failure to draw masculine-looking men aside, let's get into his character. Captain is the head-honcho of the main antagonists of the story; he fights Rum on numerous occasions, and although he should technically be her greatest enemy, the fact that Captain is a good guy trying to be a bad guy (because he's convinced that basically selling his soul to this organization will help control its evil members) makes it a tad confusing to figure out whose side he's actually on. ;) He's rigidly moral about his personal life and takes himself a bit too seriously. He's fond of convoluted plots and chessmaster-type strategies, and this puts him at odds with Lack, who he dislikes for being ignorant, selfish, and disorganized. He keeps his feelings bottled up inside, but he's interested in Rum because she's doomed, and his robot brain finds her contradictory strength/weakness fascinating.

Please tell me what you think of their designs :iconsocuteplz: No critiques on the shading or anything, though, I just did this quick for fun...

Yay primary colors

One of these three isn't who they seem...and you may be surprised by the secrets they're all hiding. :evillaugh: But for now...it's a mystery :iconleleleplz:

If you watch me, you'll probably recognize Captain (left), Rum (center), and Lackadaisy (right, AKA "Lack", "Lackluster", "Lackey", "Lackwit" etc), who are characters from a story I've had floating around in my head for awhile now.

So Captain is shockingly NOT wearing his gray jacket today :o Sorry, ladies, I'm afraid this is as much of a strip tease as you're ever going to get from him...love life of a monk, and all that  Also, there IS a reason why he seems to have -fish scales?- on his body, but I can't really explain without giving away one of the story's secrets. ;P Captain is the head-honcho of the main antagonists of the story; he fights Rum on numerous occasions, and although he should technically be her greatest enemy, the fact that Captain is a good guy trying to be a bad guy (because he's convinced that basically selling his soul to this organization will help control its evil members) makes it a tad confusing to figure out whose side he's actually on. He's rigidly moral about his personal life and takes himself a bit too seriously. He's fond of convoluted plots and chessmaster-type strategies, and this puts him at odds with Lack, who he dislikes for being ignorant, selfish, and disorganized. He keeps his nascent interest in Rum bottled up inside because he's just that kind of twerp :XD:

Boy, it sure would be nice to know who to trust! :giggle:

Historical note: "Juke Joint" is term for an informal establishment featuring music, dancing, gambling, and drinking, primarily operated by African American people in the southeastern United States. Tons of these "freed slave saloons" popped up after emancipation in the rural south, where Jim-Crow laws generally prevented sharecroppers and other black workers from going to "whites only" establishments.

MOAR crappy sketch...Will probably scrap at some point :p

Sorry I've only been posting half-finished stuff lately - my health has been poor for months ^^;

Anyway, saw an awesome pic of a saloon girl and HAD to make my own version...this is still for ~famouslies and ~Katia711's JN AU contest. don't judge I'm loving this My fic entry (thus far still in progress) can be found here: [link] JN fans only please or I'll die of embarrassment

Present for :iconsehika:, my SS for the :iconsantas-harem: gift exchange! We're actually not supposed to post our gifts until Valentine's Day, but there is a very real chance that I might not have internet access for awhile coming up, and I'd rather have the picture go out early than go out late ^^; Sorry it's not more detailed, my wrist has been bothering me again lately.

Anyway, this is *sehika's OC, Miharu, who always wears dresses. Trying out a new, softer coloring style...

A year ago I sketched up some concepts for a high-school aged version of the JN gang: That should have been the end of it, but then Keith Alcorn (the co-creator of Jimmy Neutron, and my buddy on facebook) requested a teen version of Bolbi...and this happened. High school redesigns of a whole bunch of the minor characters ^^; From left to right, they are: Elke Ekberg, Betty Quinlan, Bolbi Stroganovsky, Nick Dean, and Britney Tenelli.

And since I KNOW you want to waste your time reading imaginary bios:

Elke
Elke divides her time between Sweden and the U.S. During the school year, she attends her local gymnasieskola, but from June to August she works at a llama farm just outside Retroville and spends her free time hanging with Carl and his friends. Elke absolutely loves animals, especially llamas and alpacas, and she dreams of someday becoming a veterinarian. Her most prized possession is the yellow llama purse that Carl gave her during their sophomore summer - she's even been known to coordinate whole outfits around it. Elke looks forward to life after graduation, when she can move to America for college, and be closer to all the friends she's made during her visits ;P (special thanks to ~twisted-vision for inspiring me to give Elke a pixie cut).

Betty
You know, Betty gets a bad rap from fans, and I don't think it's deserved. She doesn't seem like a malicious person, and it makes no sense that people consistently write her as a maneater/seducer/conniving witch. I picture her style as mature, feminine, and classy, maybe with a 50's Hollywood flair. Since Betty's a year older than the rest of the gang, she would've already graduated by the time they hit senior year. She's super gorgeous, and all the high school AND college boys want to date her - but she's one of those chicks who "found Jesus" in high school, so now she's against teen dating and premarital shenanigans, haha. She's an active member of the local church and spends a lot of time going door to door bringing people "the good news" - and she has a lot more success than the less-hot members of her mission :XD:. Betty volunteers at the Retroville hospital as well, and she hopes to attend nursing school in a year or two.

Bolbi
THE KINGPIN, BABY :iconleleleplz: Bolbi is tubby, bug-eyed, and incredibly bizarre...but he's found acceptance and even adoration among the members of the drama club, who respect him for his acting talents and celebrate his weirdness as "avant garde". After high school, Bolbi plans to return to Backhairistan and take over the family goat-herding business. His fashion style can best be described as "used car salesman chic", with the occasional sweater vest to spice things up. There's a bit of a rumor floating around Retroville High that Bolbi miiiight be playing for the other team, but if so, he's not out of the closet yet.

Nick
Years later, Nick is still Retroville's resident bad boy. He's cool, he's sexy, and he knows it. Now that he has his driver's license, he's upgraded from skateboards to motorcycles, and he's been in and out of trouble for skipping class to go smoke cigarettes behind the bleachers. Nick has mad skills with the ladies, and he always has at least two hotties buzzing round him at any given moment...he's even been known to charm female teachers into overlooking his tardiness and unfinished homework. Because Nick is so concerned with appearances and is so adept at coasting through life on his looks, he doesn't have any real goals set for himself after high school. It remains to be seen whether he'll be able to get his act together and move past his narcissistic loafing.

Britney
Since her appearances in the original show were mostly be limited to back-up singing for Libby and Cindy, I've surmised that Britney is one of those chicks who always seems to play second fiddle to someone else. She's known throughout Retroville High for her belly shirts, valley-girl accent, and tendency to sprinkle gratuitous "likes" into her sentences. She's a member of the cheerleading team, but despite her best efforts, has never been able to make team captain. Britney is totally devoted to Nick, but of course he's too cool to date only one girl - hopefully she'll wise up and find someone who will treat her with a bit more respect. Britney likes music, reality TV, and sports, and she hopes (perhaps unrealistically) to one day cheer for a professional football team.

Hope you like!

Art trade with :iconbarlee: Chrollo Lucifer from HunterxHunter :w00t:

I originally drew him with his book, but it looked...out of place, so I just added some runes to represent the letters in the book. The rest of the magic-y light stuff....yeah, not sure ^^; Just thought it looked cool.
