That's the only sound coming from the living room where you and Alfred were currently playing Guitar Hero 3. At 2:30 in the morning.
"Dude this sucks!" Alfred suddenly exclaimed as you both finished another level in the game. "How can we play Guitar Hero 3 when the volume is off!? It doesn't make sense!"
You looked over at him with a glare and shushed him. "It was your idea to play at this time!"
"I know that, but I did it so we could yell and wake up Arthur!" Alfred retorted.
You rolled your eyes, but let out a chuckle. 'Alfred, always there to bug Arthur.' You thought.
It would've been louder if the fake drums were brought out, but Matthew decided to be sneaky and hide them before you and Alfred had a chance to start the game. This led to you two just using the guitar and bass.
"If this is such a bad idea, why'd you agree to play with me?" Alfred asked you quietly.
You looked over at him. The T.V screen in front o

You were so excited for your with your long time crush, Alfred. He was always so sweet and happy all the time. You loved it! It would be good for you to get back into the dating game. It was a month after breaking up with that egotistic Prussian! He was considered a 'player' or a 'bad boy'.

His ripped blue jeans falling off his waist and his nike sneakers covered in dirt.

“Alfred, I like you.”
The person who you had a crush on for nearly three years was standing right in front of you and staring at you. Before, you had only stolen glances at him from various points of your classrooms afraid that he or some other classmate might catch you looking at him. Alfred wasn’t a particularly smart student, but just to increase your chances of being in the same classes with him, you remained in preparatory courses instead of the honors and advanced courses your teachers and counselors had recommended. Now, after many years of watching him from afar, you finally summed up your courage and confronted your aching feelings and fears by saying the three simple yet critical words.
“Say what?” Alfred replied. You hadn’t been expecting something like that.
Did I say it too softly? you wondered. Your face was beet-red, but nevertheless, you decided to try again.

Interlacing your fingers, he pulled on your hand, tugging you in the familiar direction of his room. “So which one are we playing today?” You questioned, barely keeping up with him as he was taking two steps at a time.
“New one Kiku asked me to test, it’s got a weird name I can’t pronounce though.” He added the last part sheepishly, sinking down in the red beanbag. Joining him

His baby blue eyes were sparkling as he looked over the video game gleefully. He'd finally found it! It'd taken him weeks of searching this his large as his appatite house, but somehow Alfred F. Jones found Super Mario Bros buried in his top secret hamburger stash.

Today was less than perfect to say the least. I was a little more than late for my class at university which resulted in me making up that time after school. So that's all dealt with and now I'm going to my job, and I'm late for that too! It's not as though I haven't been late once or twice before however, there was a staff meeting that I missed because of it! So now I have my boss barking at me as I'm trying to restock shelves. Ok, so that's done, I get to go home and relax now right? Wrong! I'm driving along, minding my own business when some jerk totally cuts me off and I almost get in an accident!
I'm surprised that I ever made it home without ripping out my hair! But here I am. Home sweet home. Collapsing on the sofa I lazily glance around the room, looking for my boyfriend. See, for some crazy reason I am dating, and living with the world's most childish adult. We are nothing alike! I have my whole career planned out while he just 'g
America x reader- Scared of the DarkI hate when we watch horror movies! You thought, as you walked closer to America's house.America x reader- Scared of the Dark3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
He had invited you over to watch movies with you and sleep over, which you two didn't mind, it was normal. You'd been friends ever since you were little kids, and always had spent as much time as possible together. But sometimes America would want to watch movies with you, and out of every time he suggested watching one, only twice have they not been horror. He made you watch Star Wars, which you liked, and The Gray, which you ranted through the entire time because of it being a movie based on seeing how many ways a human could die in the wilderness. Anyway, you didn't like horror movies not because of the gore or the screaming or dying, but because America would always turn the lights off when you watched them. You were deathly afraid of the dark and whatever evil it held. You never told America though, you didn't want him to laugh at you.

Over the line (AmericaXReader)You sat, your face set in a determined way as your hands gripped the edges on your chair so hard your knuckles were white. Your friend Alfred, who was also known as one of the scarediest of scaredy-cats on the planet, was showing you a horror story.Over the line (AmericaXReader)3 years ago in Romance More Like This
Usually he would try to get a scary film on, preferably one he knew by heart. That way he’d be able to plug his ears and close his eyes at the jumpscares or the like, whilst you screamed your head off. He cheated that way because well to put it bluntly; he didn’t want to seem ‘weaker’ than you.
So he sat himself through horror marathons, paraded ‘fearlessly’ through haunted mansions and played scary videogames in the dark until he knew said article of fear by heart. All so that for a change, you could grab onto him and rely on him when you were scared and he was not. He wanted to change from the way you both grabbed each other in unison whenever something jumped out at you.
