A good night's sleep was always splendid. The infamous Mistress of Dragons, known as Hilary to the common rabble, stretched out onto her bed and studied the patterns on her ceiling. She had many errands to run but was wondering whether she should step out of Dragon's Den—the creepy squawking shadows that had been following her could return.
Her cellular phone rang, which she had notoriously named Scaley, ultimately making her jump. Murmuring incoherent curses, Hilary reached over and groped around her nightstand to find Scaley. After a few moments of groping, she found her phone and answered it.
