Growlithe, my favorite fire puppy! <3 <3

This is part of a commission for :iconrdario:. You can see her and Arcanine together here:

I have sculpted Growlithe many times before, however this is really the first time that I have done one that tried to be super accurate to the official art. It's also interesting to note that it was almost exactly 2 years ago that I made my first Pokemon sculpture, which happened to be a teeny tiny Growlithe:

I wish I had thought to get a picture of them together! The first Growlithe probably could have sat on this Growlithe's muzzle! o_o

Growlithe measures 3.25” tall and 4.5” long. She is sculpted from Super Sculpey/Sculpey Firm over a wire and foil armature, painted with acrylic paint and sealed with a matte finish.

After my excitment burst about the new pokémon games X and Y, I just felt the urge to make this fella. Ive always liked Suicune, even though the little fiend never belonged to me.
”A wild Suicune has appeee-no. No it hasnt. Carry on.” <----- This is what my game message board should say. Or something like ”A wild Suicune should have appeared now, but it ran of, so why even bother going into battle-screen?”
So I took my pokémon-trainer fate in my own hands, and now at last I have got one! *happy pokémon victory music* :D

Suicune is handsculpted in super sculpey over a wire and tin foil armature, and painted with acrylic paint.

Height: About 9cm (to tip of head piece)
Lenght: About 9cm

:iconkosa1plz::iconkosa2plz: Im so happy over this! Thank you so much *Sjazna and `petrova!

Progress photos and process explanation coming soon!

#059 : Arcanine The bottom right photo shows the piece in it's entirety. The rest of the photos have the support wire photoshopped out; I thought it looked really cool like that! I was originally going to make this a standing sculpture, but I found a picture online of him running and I just had to do it!

Dimensions : About 8" long on a 4" Base

Materials : Super Sculpey and Sculpey Firm Over a Wire and Foil Armature, Acrylics, Wood Base

Wooo, my first finished pieces of the new year, and they just happen to be of my all-time favorite Pokemon! :D

These two doggies were a commission for :iconrdario:. I was so excited for the opportunity to work on these guys, and I really am so pleased with how they came out. :) That Arcanine gave me quite some trouble with all her fluff, but I managed to get it to look alright, I think. It was so incredibly hard for me to have to send these two away, though. ;_; Especially that Growlithe, I wanted to keep her so badly! I hope they have a safe trip to their new owner.

You can see individual pictures here:

Arcanine is definitely my biggest Pokemon sculpture(or any sculpture for that matter), measuring in at 5.25” tall and 6” long. Growlithe measures 3.25” tall and 4.5” long. They are both sculpted from Super Sculpey/Sculpey Firm over a wire and foil armature, painted with acrylic paint and sealed with a matte finish.

I reaaaally like how he came out! That head was a real pain because the spikey bits are cut in one piece with the segments, because I wanted fewer seams on the face ^_^'' Worth the effort though. Wings are double-layer with black and yellow. As is tail. You can't see his legs very well, but his thigh is brown, as it should be.

Guess who is next???

Ta-da! The final version of the new pattern after a LOT of experimentation. I absolutely adore him. It was worth all the trial and error to get the look just right. There are just a couple minor things I need to tweak, but really he is almost perfect. I can't wait to make more of this little guy in different colors! I know I should really get back to sculpting but I am having way too much fun with dragon plushies! :XD:

I'll be selling him soon, keep an eye on my journal for info on when

Around 9 inches tall, fleece

I'm sorry but I am NOT SELLING THE PATTERN at this time.
