Impulse and I were sitting back in our seats after our little 'conversation'. I'm a little unsure on this whole 'hiding the truth from the league' junk, but Bart knew what he was talking about, right? I mean, even the scarab was agreeing with him. I don't think it's ever done that before.
Although, that might also spell disaster. The scarab means well, but if I always listened to it, half the team would be dead and I would be number one on the most wanted list. But scarab does know what is best sometimes, and I've got a feeling this is one of those times.
Plus, chances are that if the league knew I was going to bring on an apocalypse and enslave the human race, they would stop at nothing to make sure that couldn't happen, even if it meant locking me away for life, or killing me. I can't imagine Canary or Flash or any of the kinder members to be okay with that, but I can see Batman ready to tear the scarab from my spine if

Dick: Careful with those decorations, guys!
Jason: Oh like you're one to talk, you're putting them on while standing on one hand!
Tim: Why do these lights always bunch up into Gordian knots...?
Damian: I swear you made this game up.
Sam: Did not! It's been around for centuries!

Alfred: Still have a while to go for dinner, everyone; I need to time everything perfectly.

Joseph turns, in his hands is a gleaming menorah.
Joseph: Just finished giving this a shine.
He places it back on the table. Jason walks over.

Ring-PopArtemis trudged into the apartment she shared with Wally. It’s been months since she’s seen it, but as the saying goes, there’s no place like home. With the Invasion over she was finally able to return to the apartment. But unfortunately the one reason she went straight there, wasn’t there. Wally was still in his last class of the day for another forty-five minutes.Ring-Pop2 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Deciding to make the most of the time, Artemis started cleaning up a bit. The pizza boxes hidden under the couch with assorted other food packaging didn’t come as much of a surprise. Considering Wally’s cleaning skills and how much he eats, it makes perfect sense.
Once the cleaning was done there was still another twenty minutes left until the ginger arrived home.
With that in mind she went off to the bathroom to take a shower. There were still a number of unidentified bits of sea-junk on the Tigress uniform she hadn’t bothered to take off before rushing over to the apartment. Hones

"I said no," Bruce stated firmly as he pushed back his cowl. He pulled off his gloves and took a seat in front of the computer, pulling up documents and filling in the information we had just gathered.
"But he told me his!" I cried, yanking on a pair of sweatpants and tossing my soot-covered suit in the laundry basket.
"You already knew his," Bruce replied calmly, tapping away at the keyboard.
"Yeah, well, he didn't know that," I pouted, crossing my arms. Bruce sighed, but never lifted his eyes from the computer screen.
"We've been over this, Dick."
"Yeah, yeah, I know," I sulked. "Protect our identities at all costs." Bruce grunted and continued typing. "But Wally won't tell, he's one of the good guys!" I approached Bruce from behind, leaning over the back of his chair and quickly skimming the report. Nothing of immediate imp

BEFORE THE TEAM
Dick Grayson ran into Wayne Manor, tossing his school bag onto an antique chair as he ran to the kitchen to grab a quick snack before heading to train in the Batcave. To his surprise, Bruce Wayne was in the kitchen and not at work. Normally, Dick's guardian would still be at work (at WayneTech or in the Batcave), not home, not in the kitchen.
"Hey, Bruce; why are you home so early?"
Bruce sighed, "Dick, I have some sad news."
Dick was stunned, "Is someone we know...."
"No, but it's someone you know well though. I'm certain you remember Joey Kane...."
"How is that crazy genius?" Dick met Joey, a couple years younger than him, when Dick was still in Haly's Circus. He remembered that day, the slim sickly kid hiding behind his grandmother, Dick showing him around the circus, Joey and Dick becoming friends. Joey was the first person outside the circus that he knew that sent condolences after Dick's parents were killed. He actually spent a summer or two in Gotham

The room I’m in is fully of plants all over, kept inside vases and holders all around where the table is. The roof is a clear glass one, and I can see pipes with mists sprayers on them. I think...I’m in the botanical garden building now. But how did I get here?

| Wayne Manor
The cold morning air blew through the green leaf filled trees. A small amount of rain fell onto the ground as the citizens walked through it. Dark clouds showed signs of more rain, adding to the already massive amount around. Inside Wayne Manor, a few miles away from the main part of the city, everything was quiet. The small noise of a broom sweeping dust and dirt off an almost perfectly clean floor was the only thing heard. It seemed as if you could drop a feather and someone would hear it. Upstairs the owner of the manor got ready for his morning, doing stuff like combing back his hair and getting on a suit, the usual. A few doors down from there a teenager slept. His raven hair messy with bed head and his black tee-shirt he had fallen asleep in was now wrinkled.
To the left of where the teenager slept was his desk. On the back of his desk chair hung a neatly pressed uniform for his privet school he went to five days a week. The boy shifted, but showed

But somehowbe it the best friend initiative or the way he looked almost... sad when he slunk into the shadows that nightKaldur knew it was different this time. A new sort of rage. Not the normal sulk.
It'd only been a couple of months since he'd found out.
"A clone," he'd spat. "Not the real Roy Harper just a knock-off."
Kaldur had tried to comfort him, but Roy was far too bent on bringing down whoever did this, whoever stole the true owner of his DNA. Hearing with a shadow over his face to each friend that insisted he was his own person and yet not listening. Even the ones he'd never gotten along with had given him words of consolation and kindness, only to have them shrugged off.
And now Kaldur was striding towards the man's apartment, wincing as he heard items clattering in protest of all the movement. It wasn't too late to turn back though the thought didn't even o

Nightwing is a little banged up after a just barely successful mission. Someone’s crashed his apartment to help patch him back up.
Nightwing stumbled through the darkness of his apartment, his fingers trailing against the wall, looking for someway to steady himself. He was out of it. Shaken. Tonight had not been a good night. The mission had been a success, in only the loosest of terms. The Wayne Tech had been recovered, and no one had died. Since he’d taken the brunt of the explosion, he’d call it successful enough.
“I’m getting too old for this,” he mumbled to himself. Or to what he thought was himself, until the lights flickered on to reveal a black clad redhead, sitting cross legged on his couch.
“If you’re too old, then what is Batman?”
Nightwing flinched at the sound her voic

Roy had been standing on the same rooftop for two hours.
It was the highest spot he could find in this neighborhood.
Earlier this night he had downloaded a GPS for his new phone, so he would be able to find his way in the city more easily.
And he desperately needed that, if he wanted to prove to Cheshire that he was born here and knew his way around.
Now standing on the spot Batman had said where Cheshire had been seen last he was using his binoculars to try to spot her, but to no avail.
He couldn't even find something that looked suspicious.
With a deep sigh he took in his surroundings again.
He was in one of the more poor districts of the city.
There were no high buildings here and a lot of small alleys.
At this hour the streets were almost deserted.
The only people still awake were men that who didn't look exactly friendly.
And there was another problem.
He had only seen Cheshire once without her mask.
He couldn't remember her face very well after the

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I've been sitting on this one for a while. I didn't know if I liked it when I first wrote it and then I kind of forgot about it. However, my new poll has reminded me that many of you want to see more in the Linchpin verse, so I dug this out and cleaned it up a bit. It's nothing but pure fluff – which is why I think I'm so iffy about it. There is no Robin Torture at all in it! Seriously!

In a darkened room in a hidden area, four figures sat around a small table.
They’re figures were all different shapes and sized, one even being so giant he out-sized them all. One of them, at the “head” of the table, reached up and pulled a string on a lamp. The light shined to reveal it was none other than Killer Moth.
“Alright, gentlemen.” He said, looking to the others. “Are we all ready?”
The three others leaned forward to show themselves in the light, revealing that they were other supervillains of Jump City: Mumbo, Doctor Light and Atlas.

I’m in the room where the reception desk is, the one I when passed before.
Everything is a mess, papers everywhere and a few bullet holes on the walls nearby, and the receptionist is gone. Dead or hiding, I do not know. No time to wonder as I just keep going towards the hallway for the cell block room. I know where I’m going, the memories of my first time here guiding me as a map would.
As I go down the hall, I pass by the doors to the different offices of the doctors. Some are closed, some are open and no one is inside, some are open and what’s left of someone is inside, and one with a closed door and a large bloodstain on the glass from the other side. I even pass a few bodies as I keep going, making the few turns I need to get to where I’m going. I’ve seen so many dead people along the way that it’s become so commonplace to see them....can’t help but feel how wrong it is to say that...

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is a continuation of my AU of the Episode "Depths". I've been working on this for a while and I'm rather pleased with how it turned out. I borrowed a bit from DC Comic "Nightwing #114", because it's one of my favorites and I really wanted it in my story. So I took it and rewrote it and put it here and I'm not sorry! LoL! Now, a lot of people have wanted this continuation, so I hope it meets with your expectations. Please, enjoy!

Jason didn't know how long he had sat there, next to the bed of his dead brother. It could have been minutes, seconds; hours… at this point he didn't care. All he cared about was that he failed Dick. He'd let him die, he could have helped in some way. He didn't bother to clean the blood off his face where it was slowly drying. He deserved it, deserved to have his brother's blood on him, as a reminder that he had failed.
He knew he couldn't have known about the explosion. But he still failed Dick. He growled at himself just as the door opened. Doctor Leslie Tompkins walked into the room. She looked at Jason; he was in the shadows, his eyes covered in dark red blood. She stepped back for a second, startled at the sight. "Jason…" was all she said. She walked over and helped the young man up. "Tim's waiting outside for you…" she said, knowing they were short on time. Jason slowly walked out just as the team walked in.

It’s only after a few more minutes, although it felt like hours, of sobbing everything out of my system, I finally get to my feet and start to walk for Arkham North.
I’ve come this far, and I’m not going to stop here. I can’t stop now. It’s all so close. The tunnel is just like the rest except for a small stone archway with a gate on the one side of it. It’s already open, making it easier to get through. I reach the other door and it opens, making me see Arkham North, as it is after the riot.
For the most part everything’s the same, expect for an abandoned medical van a few feet in front of the Intensive Treatment building. There’s also a two dead drivers outside of the van.
