I have always been a huge fan of zombie movies and the 'what ifs' that come with them. The thought of the world ending with nearly every human being in existence either being turned into or devoured by flesh eating monsters is scary. Every day would literally be a fight for survival.
Copic markers and multiliners.
Edit: Didn't win the contest but I'm extremely excited to have been chosen as one of the 25 semifinalists! Click the 'view winners' button above to see the awesome entries that oh so deservedly beat mine out for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
Here is a Griffin for The Great Plushie Contest! A griffin traditionally is the front half of an eagle and the back half of a lion. I think the pairing of almost any bird/cat mix works.
He is from my own pattern, with some advice from He is 18" long and has a wingspan of about 14 inches (stretched). His front is made from longpile fur that is increadably soft. His back half and underwing is from a faux suede. (I just LOVE his little paw pads!) His wings are lined with feather trim. I molded his talons and beak from plastic and then hand painted them. He has a wire from his head to his tail and down both wings so he can be posed. He will get a pin on his belly so that he can sit on a shoulder.
I'm waking up to ash and dust, I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust. I'm breathing in the chemicals.
I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus. This is it, the apocalypse. Whoa...
I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones. Enough to make my systems blow. Welcome to the new age, to the new age. Welcome to the new age, to the new age. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm radioactive, radioactive. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm radioactive, radioactive.
I wanted to try a more dramatic lighting scheme with my first piece and as I really like the tone I thought I would add this as well Once again I hope you enjoy this and please let me know your thoughts.
