Happiness is... the sun in the sky
the clouds puffy white
the wind in my hair
the scent of a rose
the moon up above
the stars all around
the sound of the ocean
the salt on my tongue
the top of the peak
the green on the slope
the soft grass beneath
the smell of the pines
the house on the hill
the glow of the fire
the bread in the oven
my soft feather pillow

and the Spring has passed like a storm.
Summer's now here 'tis my season of fun,
for this I have lived and was born.
We'll laugh and play, watch our cares fade away,
and at night we'll sleep out of doors.
My animal friends will come here to stay,
we'll chase shadows out on the moor.
When Summer is gone the memories sway,
and help me get through the next Fall.
When Winter comes around I won't dismay,
next Summer I'll again have a ball!

Deep in the stillness,
I wander but a ghost thru mists of shadow & sanguine ..
And the trees bathe in the mystique of Night’s serenade
Covet thee my love immortal,
for we are hunters of a dream untamed;
poetry bleeding into the abyss ...
Candle whispers drink a sky of wine, unto where I sojourn —
in the caress of your lips, and ache of darkest Moon

Because you ignore me,
Am I that shadow on the ground?
Because you're walking over me.
Am I camouflaged?
Because you deliberately turn your back on me,
Am I alive?
Because you act as though I don't exist.
Am I dead?
Because you look at me as though I'm a spirit,
Am I just a colour?
Because you judge me as though I am.
Am I unwanted?
Because you make me feel that way.
Am I just a fish in the sea?
Because you caught me, but then you let go.
The colour of my skin doesn't defy the person inside,
Whether I'm Brown, Black, Yellow or White;
The words you use to hurt me,
Cannot take away my pride.

As if I had a contagious disease
You back away as I come near you,
And refuse to shake my offered hand.
What do you see in me when you stare like that?
You look at me as if I was dying,
As if I was beyond your help,
So you might as well not bother trying.
Don't think I am as good as dead!
Rather, picture me like a bird
That tried to touch the clouds, but failed,
And broke its wings as it came back home.
Think of me as a deer, full of life,
That used to roam the woods and chase its friends,
But broke its legs jumping through the trees.
Now I am bound to the help of others.
I may not be able to walk, or jump,
Or run with you, as you live your life.
But my heart beats just like yours does,
And my lungs breathe just as yours do.
I may be bound to a chair on wheels,
But my eyes see just as well as yours,
My ears hear exactly what yours hear,
And my brain works just fine, I am not stupid!
Look at me, not past me like all the others do.
I have ear

Please do watch now, as the magic wand becomes a knife...

Look at the wounds to know, where i've been
Throwing me against, my own walls
But I've learned to fly, when i fall
And I know my scars are only on the surface
And I know that I, I, I am not worthless
No matter how they break me, i'm unbreakable
No matter how they hurt me, i'm invincible
You know a heart
Keeps on bleeding
When it breaks it goes on beating
I, I'll keep on keeping on
'Cause my scars prove you, wrong.
The Price of RoyaltyThe little girl dreamed that perhaps one dayThe Price of Royalty2 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
she'd be a princess and meet her Prince Charming.
But the truth in becoming a part of the fray,
is that governance can be quite disarming.
There are tasks to perform and duties that call
and sleepless nights are quite often the norm.
Yet to be by his side is to her worth it all,
together they would weather every storm.
But when bad targets good, the mighty may fall,
her burden then becomes too much to bear!
How could anyone presume to have the gall
to take away Prince Charming; was it fair?

Distilled in the timbre of windswept voices,
black feathers enchant earth in fevered-song
Magick ebbs & shimmers thru earthen veins,
seething like a migration of hungry wolves
Silvery eyes peer, drinking the ether of souls;
watching the spirit world fold into the mists
And where Shadows and Witches conjure,
— myriad talons beshrew Winter’s prayer
For eons I hath wandered in forgotten lore
— a sleep walker thru ash & fire, hunting ..
Beneath Moon solemn and drifting,
I covet thy ghostly figure velvet, undressing
Pools of amaranthine spill from mine eyes
Her ebon hair dripping in the evening tide
I rest my lips upon visage of thy fabled kiss
Thou art my darkest Witch — the wilderness
of a thousand spectre’s lusting ...
And unto this primeval calling, we shall seed
Poised in hallowed nightscapes caressing,
I brood and ponder ....

A nature orchestra providing the lightest music.
A day shared, Hands linked,
The lovers sleep in peace.

Cry of the BansheeCry of the Banshee2 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
I heard a wailing so soft and low,
through the trees I spied an eerie glow.
As the night wore on 'twas louder yet,
I laid there silent, did moan and fret.
To what did the lonesome cry portend?
I shivered to think 'twas near the end.
Could the reaper of darkness be nigh?
My answer soon came from up on high.
"The men who dress in those long white robes,
who spread their lies all across this globe.
See there! Many who are dressed in red!
Their godless decrees fill men with dread.
But the one who holds that staff so tight,
the one who's conquered with all his might,
was he that someone for whom she wailed,
or will they all be unmasked, unveiled?"
The sound did fade as the dawn did break,
I turned on the news, barely awake.
Lo and behold! The city had fallen.
The faces of many had now grown sullen.
Never again will her voice ever rise.
Never again will she give out advice.
Never again will she preach for a price.

"It's better to have loved and lost,
then to never have loved at all."
I guess that all depends
on how the loss occurred.
Was it something that
eventually faded away
or did it end up turning,
into some form of hate?
"There's a fine line
between love and hate."
There once was a time
when you used to love me,
way back when,
you probably hate me
because we're no longer friends.
But that's fine,
because I kind of despise you too,
for all the pain
you put me though.
"True love will never die
and will always stand the test of time."
I guess the love that I knew,
never really was true,
because if it was,
then it would still be alive.
There would still be a "we"
instead of just you
"Time heals all wounds"
which is a complete lie.
A total bunch of crock
said in love's demise.
Although, it might sting a little less
eventually given some time.
But it will never completely mend
and a part
will always remain
It's just so

A little like I love you.
Like lovers kissing
For the first time that
It sets the world on fire.
And I plan to burn down
With it because I keep failing
To realize that I'm more than
Just a body for you to touch,
A body for you to hold.
You arms around my ribs
Makes me feel so fragile,
But so safe that I could not
Possibly break while you
And I can feel you hand slipping
From mine even though I beg
You to stay because I hate
The word goodbye and how
You look as you walk away.
I want you to remember me
When you arrive.
And I want you to remember me
When you leave me behind.

Doodles and anything that crosses her mind.
Words begin flooding her thoughts,
As she wrinkles the paper and grabs a clean sheet.

As a ballet dancer across a stage…"
And just as she nears the end

And days bled into years.. the tides became deserts
Thru seasons untamed, I hunted and found her gaze,
peering in a song deep and hallowed
Horizons quivered like ghosts cast in Winter’s dream
— where hearts once bloomed a fabled sky
Lest the Moon would bestow solace upon my dread:
I am but madness, haunted by her solemn breath
My soul shall yield to this mythic abyss —
wandering forests bereft of Autumn’s decree
We are warriors in a ballet of snow darkly falling;
betwixt worlds forgotten, and lives entombed ...

Don't listen to others' talk.
Have a conversation and get to know him.
Let him take you for a walk.
You see, people these days seem to hide themselves
Behind society's phony masks.
You never really know who people are,
You have to do much more than just ask.
See, now? Isn't he better than you expected?
So please folks, try not to judge anyone
Before you really get to know them,
Because then, the prize is really won.
