My deviantART StoryConsidering that I have little time here, let's begin this little story. My deviantART Story10 months ago in Art Features More Like This
Well, it's no secret that I joined DeviantART to show many of my papercraft work and share experiences and models with other papercrafters.
Before joining deviantART, and before doing papercraft, I did some drawing, and a little clay sculpture, but never managed to improve a lot in these two arts. It was until I found papercraft models, I began to explore this art and I was completely in love.
The first models I assembly were a lot of work for me, was it a mental challenge to complete, It took me about 6 days to finish my first model. Still I didn't give up.
I began to see how I could improve the finish of the figures and fulfill the dream that I always had: Having a large collection of amazing collectible figures!

What Spyro's Kingdom WasWe finally have visual of what the first game concept of what Spyro's Kingdom looked like. What Spyro's Kingdom Was3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Apparently, this game was originally going to be a MMORPG, in the Legend of Spyro-themed universe. The Portal of Power is mentioned, and we were going to have to use toys to play as our dragon characters in the game world. And just like Spyro's Universe, we customize our lairs. This game idea was proposed to Activision, but it was rejected.

I'm really glad the DA has finally find time to open up a debate about it, considering we're the biggest art community online it's a very efficient way to get the word across! I was told that Sopa was brought up in october 2011 and obviously gradually went into a downward spiral from there...I actually recalled something that was kind of strange, back in 2009 or 2010, I remember watching a youtube video talking about 2012 disaster. The people in it stated that they found prove that lead them to believe that 2012 would not be a natural disaster apocalypse but would be an online crises that would end the "-internet-world" as we know it. The video stated that apparently major internet providers are planning to "sell" internet like cable

Project Educate: Introduction to PapercuttingHello and welcome to the Papercutting 101.Project Educate: Introduction to Papercutting2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Please come with me and let me show you why paper is still one of the most versatile medium to work with even in this digital age.
1.What is it?
Papercutting is the art of cutting design out from paper. It is considered one of the oldest forms of art but it has developed independently all across the globe. People from all over the world have independently discovered how versatile and rewarding it is to work with paper and they have developed their own distinct styles.
The oldest surviving paper cut out is a symmetrical circle from the 6th Century found in China. The category “papercutting and scherenschnitte” was opened on dA in 2010. It is at once one of the oldest and newest forms of art around the block!
2.What kinds of papercutting are out there?
Around the globe there are a number of traditional type
Stop Letting Photoshop Troll YouAlternate Pricing OptionsStop Letting Photoshop Troll You4 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to pay out your ass for a fully legal copy of Photoshop. If you know what youre doing, you can get Photoshop CS5 for much less than the $400 price tag ($999 if you want that silly Extended version).
Option 1: Student pricing. If you are a student, and Im pretty damn sure a great majority of you readers are, you would do well to check out Student Pricing. You see Adobe isnt as stupid as it looks. They know that if they make their products upwards of 80% less for the students and teachers, then they will buy their products, and learn and teach how to use them. When the students get out of school, the only programs they will know how use are Adobe products, but being as they are no longer students, they will be forced to pay full price for their Adobe stuff. Its a very smart business plan. But anyways, check out the Adobe Education sto

Marketing Your dA PrintsOh marketing... it's every serious artist's permanent headache. What to sell, how to sell it, who to sell it to, how much to sell it for. While we can't give you the one perfect formula for that, here are quite a few tips on how to market your prints on deviantART and beyond.Marketing Your dA Prints5 years ago in Personal More Like This
Put your best art forward
You may think you want to offer everything you can for sale and that is understandable. However, think again. It's likely that not all works you offer for sale are ones that an art buyer might actually want to buy. Just like a potential buyer has to make a choice of what to buy, a seller is better off specifically selecting what to offer for sale and what not. While the saying "Quality over Quantity" is not a sure way to a sale, it's definitely a good strategy to get there.
It's better to offer only your fewer very best works for sale rather than all of your works.
Think like a customer
Put yourself in the shoes of someone contemplating buying your ar
