A Very Skyrim ChristmasT'was the night before Christmas, and all through Whiterun,A Very Skyrim Christmas2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Not a living thing was outside,
Except the guards, and Whiterun's local bum
Jarl Balgruuf was in bed, a bed fit for the Lord,
In hopes that St. Nick would bring him a Sword;
In the small house known as Breezehome, Lydia did slumber,
Wishing that for Christmas she would get a Sword of Thunder;
And Archer set out some milk and a sweet roll,
Preparing for the arrival of Santa, so he wouldn't get coal;
He had no idea what this man looked like,
But he hoped that he'd visit, possibly this night
He yawned tiredly, and then scratched his head,
Before going upstairs to sleep in his bed.
In the morning, he hoped, he would have some nice presents…
Well, after all, he'd been kind to the peasants,
When suddenly, in the living room, Archer did hear,
A large man was present… when did he appear?
With a focus, then a cast, Archer was see-through,
So he could sneak behind a chair, and see what the man would do.
He wore a large red

"Ah, but there has not been a Listener in years and years. Our lady has not chosen Cicero... and certainly not Astrid. Or anyone. But someday..."
"Ah! It doesn't matter, what's done is done, right? Cicero is here, as is the Night Mother. Joy of joys!"
"Ahh, another member of the family, hello, hello! So very good to meet you!"
"Alright! So Cicero attacked that harlot Astrid! But what's a fool to do when his mother is slandered and mocked? Surely the Listener understands!"
"And another soul for Sithis."
"And he says to the man, 'That's not a horker, that's my wife!' Hahhahhahahha, ah, I love that one."
"And I said to the baker, 'You're not dead, you're a faker. But if that's your wish, I'll oblige.'"
"And if I spy a singing bird, I'll snap its neck before it's heard."
"And killed them in his honor."
"And now we come to the end of our play! The grand... finale!"
"And there IS NO LISTENER!"

EndermanAs the young blond traced small details onto her map, she wiped a bit of sweat from her brow. For early fall, it sure was hot... Or perhaps that was just the heat of the furnace getting to her? Sighing, Fleet dropped her quill and stood up, dragging her hand through her short, fluffy hair. The day had been long, and the evidence of this was all over her body- Dirty clothes, a small smudge of coal dust on her left cheek... Not to mention the fact that her hands were stained with ink. But all the dirt, all of that dust had been worth it. It was always worth it. Sitting back down again, she didn't even notice the sun setting as she her mind floated in the lala land that most refer to as reverie. Nor did she notice the tall shadow striding towards her house, a diamond block in hand.Enderman4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
No, Fleet was far too lost in her thoughts to even realize that she'd left the door open. Too busy thinking about how she dove down into that cave everyday, and always hauled back such a huge load. Today was th

She opened her eyes, and saw that the Enderman had backed away slightly, and was now holding out a hand to help her up. The blond stared. What... Why on earth? In utter confusion, she grabbed it's hand and let out a yelp as it hoisted her to her feet with ease and held out the diamond block she'd abandoned when she'd run away. But why? Fleet tilted her head and took the block, looking into the Enderman's eyes. It stared back and seemed to quiver a little, but it could still move. Why? Just... Why?
The answer was because it liked those big bright blue eyes, and the shiny hair. The Enderman wondered whether or not the hair was soft. Fleet didn't understand why it was staring at her hair... Did it want to pet her or someth- Her question was answered as it raised it's hand to her head and ran it through her short hair. It sent a small shock through her, jolting her body. It was indeed soft, and the Enderman could detect a

It was the summer of 1957, and the night was calm and warm. The storm clouds from earlier were now just a few harmless puffs on the horizon, but the air still held a faint scent of sweet rain. A light breeze danced through the woods just outside of town, rustling the leaves of the oaks and maples and birches. And within these woods were two travelers, seemingly following some unseen path through the growth.
Come on, its just a little bit farther, called the man in the lead. He had short, scruffy, sandy brown hair and wore large, squarish glasses over his big sky blue eyes. He picked his way through the thick underbrush with an air of someone who had done it many time before. The woman behind him, however, wasnt having the same amount of luck.
I sure hope this it worth it, Will! shouted the petite Asian woman as she pulled her shirt free of another branch. I dont know how mu

Year 2006 (49 years later)
There was a faint sound of crushing gravel as the little blue car pulled to a stop in the small parking lot. An aging man got out of the drivers side. He was extremely tall and well built for his age, and his hair was cut short and in varying shades of gray. A thick matching moustache adorned his slender, kindly face. Square glasses were perched on his nose. He reached back into the car, pulled out a simple mahogany cane, and with its help made his way over to the other side of the car.
He opened the passenger door and helped a young girl out of the car. This girl was fifteen years old, and skinny and straight as a twig. Her face was also slender like the mans, albeit much younger and more feminine. Shoulder length, sunflower blonde hair was swept up into a ponytail. She wore a simple white t-shirt and blue jeans, with flip-flops on her feet. Her hands were cov
Dragon's Eye Sneek PeekIt was 10 oclock at night at the Toddson residence. Crickets were chirping cheerfully in the warm summer air, quietly playing their soft, familiar tune. A cool night breeze occasionally blew past, ruffling the leaves on the trees for a moment before continuing on its way. A golden retriever sniffed about, looking for some small furry animal to harass. Inside the faded white farmhouse around which all this was happening, a sleepy Maddy Toddson was watching TV.Dragon's Eye Sneek Peek6 years ago in Fantasy More Like This
While her eyes were glued to the screen, she absent-mindedly fingered the pendent around her neck. She felt the cold silver of the necklace rub across her fingertips; a stark contrast to the strangely warm gem trapped beneath the cage of silver. The gem was about an inch around, and seemed to contain all the colors of the rainbow, and yet have no color at all. She had received it from her grandfather for her birthday; there w

you lose the need for sound.
A flight of words that bear no chirp
are none the less profound.
They don't perch on a pitch.
They don't possess the need .
They fly until you've seen their song,
then silently recede.
No one could find more freedom than
the freedom granted flight.
No one can see more beauty than in
words passed left to right.

We’re going to talk about language. More specifically, we’re going to talk about what happens when we take language apart into its little recognizable pieces, because it’s from these pieces of real, natural languages that we build our constructed languages, or conlangs. Essentially, you’re going to get a crash-cours

this meek and soiled;
and my hands are bloodied
