I drew this a while ago actually. There was absolutely nothing to do at some place, luckily I brought my tablet and laptop along. Though I'd do a small painting thing of ol' Hoge. He used to be one of my story characters. Might place him again somewhere. HMMMMM.
Hit Download for HQ because everyone knows DeviantBlur.
//Edit// It's not Hogger. It's Hoge :' )) (Pronounced as "Hodge") s-sorry for the confusion.
This is a scene that shows up in my book Dragons of Ketoniza. And I thought this would be a good first pic of the year These three adventurous rule breaking Dragons have climbed up the mountains to get to ruins of a human city. What will they find as they explore these ancient buildings? Who knows.
Well I think I did an okay job with makeing a rather detailed pic. I seen so many people do one, and I finally took a little time to make one. Also helped me with the fog effect among other little effects
THIS TOOK ME FOREVER ! Lots of detail lots of realism lots of colors hardest part was the entire skin. Between the process my computer crashed and had to be rebooted and reformatted about 5 times... luckily i didnt loose anything.

Andean condors are very endangered. Their wild population are critically imperilled, believed to be only approximately 60 to maximum 200 remaining. They're a whole lot more rare than wolves (I love wolves, just saying). I think these majestic birds don't get much popularity points due to their looks, but I personally see so much more in these giant caring monogamous creatures, which can get about 50 years old (with the oldest known being 72), and have voices like gods. No eagle sound or something that'd make you think it's a bird at all, just a voice of their own from deep, deep within.
What makes the progress of becoming extinct more quickly for them, is probably the fact that one Andean condor couple has only one baby per year (kinda like emperor penguins). So if something happens to either the mother or the father, the kid will have less chances to survive. Not to mention what happens if both parents will not be able to return to their nest.
Illegal shooting, habitat loss and disturbance, poisoning from eating lead shot in carcasses, and consumption of poison placed for mammalian predators are all contributing to their decline.
There's a LOT more other unseen animals dying out behind everyone's back, the Andean condor is only one example. I am proud to pay my attention to those with my oh so ugly art. :]
But I love them. In my opinion, they're often so much cooler than like, peacocks or stallions, bears, deer, hippos, and other popular animals which males may look pretty and impressive but often give a shit about their females or the kids after the sex, and go hump or rape other females at random. Or even kill their babies to do so. I mean, it works out in nature, and I honestly don't wish them any harm for being who they are, but they're not my personal favorites.
Just explaining why I often draw the ugly creatures, no offence towards anyone who draws pretty things. The important thing is that you draw what's fun for you, right? c: ___
A DAILY DEVIATION! Wow, I don't know what to say.. I think almost every member here dreams about getting a Daily Deviation but I never thought this would actually happen to me. And a DD on this one picture. This picture and animal has a deeper meaning for me than I explained in my comment, actually. It's a very personal artwork. Thank youu! ;_; __
