Dragonized, chapters 0,1, and 2.Chapter 0- through the fire and flames.
Fire and smoke... that's all that I could remember...
...Everything was hurting.... where was I? The smoke had started to clear some, but my eyes couldn't seem to focus on anything, it was all blurry... something green, I could see something green everywhere, and brown, below all the green was brown.
Red danced around me, coming from parts of gray stuck in the brown... why were my ears ringing so bad?
“Holy... are you seeing this Tanner?” Comes from off to my right, it was tinny, must have been the ringing, I try to look that way and everything flashes red, and I let out a roar of pain, but something was wrong, it was wispy, no strength to it, and my chest burned.
“It's alive too, damn!” Says another voice, something had started up out in the distance... what was it? Barking?
“Agh, we don't have time for this, they're still hunting for miracle man here. Getting close too.” says one I haven't heard before...

That's about the first thing that comes to mind. My body felt like liquid fire, and my head kept pounding like a drum. I force my eyes open and they take little time to adjust to the darkness.
The room was octagonal and looked scarred. A pedestal in the center held a glowing gold ring... it scared the hell out of me so I get up and start backing away, the thing sent waves of danger coursing in my head... but why? I bump into a wall, the window long since shattered and melted. I look over the edge and stop.
Skeletons in suits and lab coats were strewn on the floor, all in various states of panicking. I could feel the air literally pulling at my back, was it the ring? Nevertheless It encouraged me to jump over the low wall and end up just barely missing the skull of someone. A deep rumble shakes the building and I stumble, kicking the head of a skeleton.
A jolt runs down my spine.
And the fucking skull starts talking!

Aerie Yet again it was time for plowing. I dreaded this time of year since it meant that I would have to work next to the horses for long periods. The horses always were nervous when I was around, so much so that plowing became nearly impossible. Once I had asked my father why he did not plow while I cleared away the rocks. He had replied that I was too young to be doing such heavy work.Aerie1 year ago in Settings More Like This
So this year, like every one previously, he hitched up the horses, lined the plow up for the first furrow, turned to me as I stand off to the side and said, "Alright, all yours."
I stepped forward, took the reigns, and like every year that I could remember, the horses instantly began blowing and stomping nervously. "Go ahead, ' my father encourages. So I started.
Again, the same story as the years before. No matter what I tried to do, the horses simply tried to get away from me. The plow leaned and jerked, and the furrow veered drunkenly.

Oliver "Whoa! What the...!" Another lightning bolt hit the ground, closer this time, causing everybody else to jump back.
"This isn't a normal storm!" Zephyr says as the rain began to pound twice as hard, supplemented by the occasional burst of golfball-sized hail.
"You think?" Zorath says while moving out of the way of a particularly large peice of hail as it crashed into the ground.
"Yes I do thi- OW!" A peice of hail hit hm on the head and it broke on impact. He shakes it off and makes a canopy of black fire, every single raindrop or iceball was melted and evaporated before it got through.

Birthday wish part 3Zorath walked around the airport, waiting for his flight. It was a normal day at Heathrow and Zorath was about to leave on vacation, he blended into the crowds easily with his standard looks, 6 foot 3" teenager with pale skin, short dark brown hair, and a pair of jeans along with a black shirt with a picture of a tribal dragon on the left side outlined in blue. It had been a long morning, and he had nothing to do before he left so he decided to come here and wait it out. he was sitting next to a pair of university students, a boy and a girl, who were going over something on the guy's iphone, with nothing better to do, he listened in...Birthday wish part 31 year ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

There it is again! I pinpoint it as the back door. My parent's always lock both front and back doors before going to bed... so it had to be someone breaking in! Well, they had a nasty suprise coming, I slip carefully out from under the blanket and off the couch, barely making a sound. It was dark... The next turn (A prolouge)“How did this all start?” I ask darkly, while looking over the forest below. Sitting on the cliff of a remote mountain. The sunset was just starting it's decent, giving off a display of reds and yellows into the sky. The dragon next to me shrugs “Who knows? If it happens it happens, nothing's going to change it.” I crane my neck over and look at him. He was about as close to a forest dragon as you could get, with green scales and a dark brown underbelly. Little lines of brown laced across the edges of some of those scales, adding a more camouflaging color scheme. He was smaller than most dragons also, but he didn't mind, since being six foot five tall meant he still had a height advantage over humans. Would anyone ever know how the search for oil reserves with discovery of new fields could yield an incredible event in biology? Weirder things have happened where one technology starts or advances another. Even weirder still are when technology and myth come crashing together. Over the years, the well bores went deeper and deeper into the earth, with wider and wider diameters. Technology continued to make the process capable of these extremes, but nature had some advances in store for us as well as a few surprises.

Today was just the usual drag: wake up, rub my eyes, get up, and actually wake up with a shower. The torture of waking up over, I grabbed my normal wear, which was a green or red T-shirt, paired with black jeans. I finished my dressing, then poured myself a bowl of LIFE cereal, and headed out of the kitchen. I sat myself down and watched some TV on the green recliner sofa.
Unlike what I usually do, I decided to watch the news for a change, instead of SpongeBob and Fairly OddParents on YTV to pass the time. I don't know why, but today I chose to watch the news. Generally I hate watching it since it normally bores me all the time, but for some reason I just watched it. As usual, it tormented me for about an hour until the incredible happened: a news report that was actually interesting! This news report was about a group of thieves that broke into a science lab during the night, stealing a unique device of unknown abilities, and the lab itself wasn't talking.

I might have been exaggerating a tad when I said that, let's put it at most of the US. And before you ask me any questions, no I don't know what you supposedly didn't do, since I was told this rather vaguely by the others around midnight a few hours ago. And now you can ask the other obvious questions.”

Don't panic. He's been lost before, and he got out of that mess unscathed. He just needs to keep his head if he can.

The low clouds split, and the colors of the sunset were burning into Mick's skin, a rare feeling for a February day in Vermont. For what felt like the first time today, he could see the landscape around him through the thick, stubborn clouds: the beautiful slopes of Camel's hump, coated with endless dew-covered trees, greeted him, but they were farther downhill, waiting for him behind sharp, rocky inclines. Damn it! He was still near the top of the mountain, and safety was at the bottom.
