Demon TrapI finished the incantation, the last of the words yanked from my throat as they often are. My Sight revealed them swirling away from me, forming a vortex within the containment circle surrounding me, simple chalk on basement concrete.Demon Trap6 years ago in Fantasy More Like This
I stepped carefully out of the circle then, popped the cap off a bottled water and swallowed half in one long draught. By the time I wiped my chin, my visitor was already forming.
He appeared first as an orange ember, a firefly darting frantically within the containment. Finding no escape, he settled into the center, about eye-height, finally spreading himself out a bit: now he spanned a half-dozen hands, sheets of electric fire spinning and churning. The suggestion now of eyes, teeth, horns, reptile skin stretched between bird-bones.
The process was fascinating, always different, yet always similar. Their kind was a bit predictable, which was why I worked in my chosen field. A specialist,

I just finished reading Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer and seriously.
I mean SERIOUSLY!?!?!?!?
What was Meyer thinking? Dont get me wrong, I loved Twilight. New Moon was so-so. Eclipse annoyed me. And then came Breaking Dawn. I probably should have known when the cover art was released that this book would be differentbut not so drastically different. There are TOO MANY issues with this one. Things I just cant let go, so Im going to run down some problems/comments I have.
1) The characters were all flat. From the opening scene when Bella went to the gas station the book did not read the same as the first three. The characterization was different.
2) If Edward really loved and understood Bella he would not have bought her fancy expensive cars. What was wrong with buying her a stylish yet aged car? Like the Mustang Anne Hathaway drives in The Princess Diaries.
3) Im glad Bella and Edward got married but, in all of Meyers books why is there alwa

There's almost nothing here but grass and space.
But it was amazing.
Air moved out here, kind of like when you fall off a platform into a portal. But it wasn't as strong; it was just enough to tickle her.
The air was also warm. It was so much warmer outside than in the Enrichment Center, where it was a cooler temperature to keep everything running smoothly. Or so she was told. Everything but the humans.
The only materials she could ever remember handling were metal and concrete tile. That's literally all there is to work with down in Aperture. She had kicked off her long fall boots and ran around the little shed. The dirt - or what she assumed was dirt - clung in between her toes, and gave way slightly with each step she took. It was pleasantly cool, and pleased her. The dirt she felt inside was slimy, and didn't look like it wanted to be touched. She had avoided it.
Grass wasn't so fun to run through. It made her itch and even cut her in place

Sometimes you fear youll get stuck in that darkness, that you cant get back up into the light. Its cold, but not the physical shivering cold. Its not easy to explain exactly how it feels unless you tried it yourself. Im just happy its only rarely I have to go through it.
Well, here I am again, waking up on a bed in a medic bay. Though its the first time I woke up in this exact place. Last time I went through this it was back on the Massive. It has been so long ago, I hoped I was over it; that I didnt have to worry about it ever again. I guess I was wrong. Of course Im not over it. A defect like this just wont go away on its own.

Be it because no one understands us, because no one is there for us, because someone has left us alone to die within our troubling thoughts. However, I experience this at least one a month, sometimes once a week, sometimes every hour on the hour. Along with the isolation comes the ache and the agony and the despair and feeling like you would enjoy the sun warming your skin again, that you would never enjoy anything ever again. Every teenager goes through hormonal changes called puberty. Because of this we are expected to have our periods of sorrow, of grief, of pain, of suffering; but a healthy, average teenager should not have to deal with these feelings constantly for about four maybe five years. To some, what I am going through has been deemed a phase. To others, it has been deemed as regular teenage emotions. To me, I have deemed it teenage depression. Not Another Teen Sob Story6 years ago in Academic Essays More Like This

She was on her way on a train, not many people were on, which seemed nice. The last thing she needed after a busy day is a crowded train where she'd have to stand up falling over people. She'd sat in the seats where the table was perched with seats opposite her where she could raise her feet up and relax. She was so restless after the finished week; she just wanted to collapse on a soft bed.
Being a business woman she had to wear the usually clothes. A white collared shirt, which shaped out her 36A busts nicely. Covering over her shirt was a black jacket which was making her sweat. A black skirt that lay just upon her knees, her legs covered with thin black cotton stockings. On her feet were her hi heels that had been slashing her poor feet to ribbons

As far as my research -much of which was pulled from the remains of various 'accidental' fires- can trace, it all began a few weeks after Applebloom was born. Her sister, Applejack, who grew to

He folded the letter back into its envelope and drew out the application. After scanning across it briefly, he set it on the table and opened the next item, another piece of college junk mail.

Football (or soccer as it's known in America) is the most popular sport in England, and played my many boys all over the country. This story happened in a city in England called Newcastle.
It was a Sunday afternoon, dark clouds hung over a park football pitch in Newcastle. Today was the final of the under-14s football final. The 2 teams, Geordie Lads, and the Allstars were locked in a nail biting 1-1 draw. The match went into extra time. Both teams players were getting tired, they had been playing for over 1 hour. Finally, after great passing between the 2 strikers, Gavin and Mike, the Geordie Lads scored. The whole team had a group hug and high-fived each other, they had won the final. Their coach was really proud of them, he had known some of them since they

"3... 2... 1... GO!" cried the announcement. Floating onto the Temple Stage from Melee in a pillar of light, the first thing I did was scan the area for my designated opponent.
The problem, of course, was that the Temple Stage was huge, so huge that a player could feasibly camp just about anywhere. No wonder it was banned in PvP tournaments. I unsheathed my bow, readying one of my arrows of light in case I spotted my target.
Link stood on a high platform on the opposite side of the stage, looking down upon his opponent. From his perspective, I clearly couldn't see him, but he knew that I'd drawn my bow out of what he thought was just paranoia. So he knelt down silently and stayed where he was, pulling out a bomb and waiting, hoping I'd make the mistake of coming over to where he was.

Fudge ran his hand through his thinning hair, nervously. "As I said before Headmaster, I apologize for Umbridge's actions; she had no right."
"Exactly my thinking, that is why I am replacing her. You pulled me away from a very important interview as it, so
