Across the universe,
search for your remorse,
hard to find,
helps me unwind.
Days gone dark,
lights put out,
spark of hope,
the heart is broke.

waves of desire conflate - in a back alley
thrusting against a steel gate - in a back alley
city’s entrails echoing within its bowel;
cats yowl, junkies tempt their fate - in a back alley
muffled steps furtively follow the innocent,
fears come true and permeate - in a back alley
a pandora’s box retaining nightly secrets;
one’s loyalty fluctuate - in a back alley
lovingly dancing with her shadow, a girl waits
for a white thread, a soul mate - in a back alley

We all have a blue lonesome beach underneath our soles and secret letters behind the ears.
We all have a song attached to the burning tail of the soul and a garden surrounded by beautiful thistles.
We all have a favourite square on the face of the Moon. We all try to follow the travelling waves.
We all try to save the traces of the wind and the flowers that frost makes. We all shiver when they are gone.
We sleep next to each other while the sand in the hourglass turns to silver.

miles I wandered
to finally find myself
face down in a poppy field
- a disarticulated doll
in the cold of the night
trying to remember that
the pitchest of black
lightens up with dawn

Some Things Are StrongA country table set for a threshing gang lunchSome Things Are Strong1 month ago in Free Verse More Like This
In the deep green shade of a towering maple.
While the sun shines hard, the men will toil at the harvest
Till the last sheaves are done.
Then they move along to the next farm
To begin their work again.
So it is with a poet
Who has spent his years haunting
The rock-strewn fields and birch-lined logging roads
Of New England.
Learning the colors of her moods,
Listening to her songs
In a thousand laughing brooks;
Wondering at the cathedral stillness
Following a January snowstorm.
I've watched the burning sun make his way
Down behind the rows of corn
And fieldstone walls.
With a tip of my hat to the crimson reds
Along the horizon line
I bid him go till he brings the morning
With him once again.
It is good to bring to mind
The paths I've trod, the lakes I've fished,
And neighbors I've met in passing,
Perhaps in a simple dooryard.
Where a dog is barking from the porch,
And cotton sheets hang on a clothesline
Drenched in the lilac air.

Alone and UnseenAlone and Unseen1 year ago in Free Verse More Like This
The chill in the breeze,
The frost on the ground,
Crisp on a moonlit night.
A young boy's figure
Glides through the streets,
His breath a clouded fog.
Eyes like crystals,
Hair like snow,
He walks with staff in hand.
Alone in the world,
Unseen by all,
He strides like a ghost through the town.
Young children seen
Through a window pane,
Bask in the glow of the hearth.
Unseen goes the boy
Who stares unnoticed and lost
At the joy before his eyes.
A tentative move,
A soft hand to the glass,
Which freezes beneath his touch.
He turns away,
To the dark of the night
And raises his head to the sky.
A tear flows unseen,
Silent and soft,
To be dashed on the frozen earth.
Calling winds forth,
Around him to swirl,
His feet lift off from the ground.
Invisible and alone,
He flies higher until
He melds with the sky and the stars.
"I want to be seen
And I want to be heard."
Only one hears this desperate boy's cry.
The Man in the Moon
Stares down on the scene,
At the lost and forgotten child.

Good evening to the cliff
The one that leers above
Challenging the leap
With rubbles that tumble down
With broken hearts that finally shatter
Good evening to the sky
The one that widens 'round
Surrounding with their spattered skies
With black blooded stains
With white flaring scorns of disdain
Good evening to the sea
The one that trembles below
Waving final sayings, tides of goodbyes
With swirls of treachery
With educing calls of end
Good evening to the world
The one that doesn't care if she drowns
Ignoring her sadness, her tears, her pain
With closed ears to cries
With hearts made of stone
Let me drownLet me drown2 years ago in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
It seemed as calm as an ocean could be
Almost as wide as the sea
With a mind that vast
How couldn't I dive in?
I guess that's why I decided to swim
So I delved into the deep ocean blue
I swam looking for you
I dove into the abyss
And I found this:
A snuffed out light
A heart that someone broke with all their might
A few broken parts
And some lost art
All of this caused me confusion
So I kept going to reach my conclusion
I wanted to see more
I kept straying away from the shore
After awhile I became lost
I felt my mind lose conscious thought
The water around preceded to choke me !
The lights grew darker so that I couldn't see!
I rushed to the surface to get back to land
But the water charged after me as I swam
The surface by then had turned into a storm
The ocean had taken on a horrible form
It consumed the sky and all around
There was no such thing as solid ground
The waves took me and dragged me down.....
And I felt myself float away
and begin to drown.....
The DarknessThe Darkness1 year ago in Free Verse More Like This
The world is such a scary place;
Reality is a nightmare...
Darkness surrounds us,
And threatens to destroy
Everything we love.
If we don't have support in life,
We might as well quit.
Everyone has to face the darkness;
The darkness will go away,
Leave us alone,
And light will return...
But if we don't,
The chaos and fear
Will consume everything,
And the world we know
Please don't leave me
To face the darkness
On my own.
Because I can't-
Not without you.

The Spoils Of War
On continents- Wars have been waged
And bad blood as been shed
In countries- Leaders have been made
And some promises were never kept
In towns- Peaceful protests have been planned
It was just another way to fight against
In cities- Raging riots have been started
Because they were fed up with all the bullshit
There are established governments
Who are supposed to be for the people
But they continue to make corrupted investments
It's just a group who exercise and taint their freewill
We have soldiers we praise and soldiers who shock us on the news
Some fight for their nations and some fight with their titles that's abused
We have police officers who serve and protect, but there's also dirty cops
Each one has a reason but some are just in it for the money, which is never enough
There will always be another side! / There is always another face to hide!
Greed is in cahoots with pride! / Envy and wrath devou

Translucent mirrors mimic my visions
Revealing only what I want to see
Erasing runaway thoughts of opposition
In this perfect world of mine-
I am in complete control
There are no illusions of wrong or right-
For the filter to reality is my own
Stereotypes are nonexistent
Thus, there is no swift judgment
And there are no moments of hatred or resentment
There is no shame! / There is no pride!
There is no pain! / There are no lies!
Serenity is the number one priority
Hearts have full immunity to adversity
And tears have yet to be given an opportunity
A home where promises aren't broken-
And people aren't taken for granted
A place where discrimination is dormant-
And hope is freely handed
My eyes paint the desired
An infinite radius is my canvas
Fantasies continuously transpire
It's an art form that defines: unpretentious

an untimely reunion chapter 6Rose and John walked through the doors of UNIT, hand in hand. She bit her lip nervously. She hadn't seen Mickey in what felt like ages. Time went by faster on the parallel Earth, so three years to him was five for them. Had he changed? Would he help? How did he and Martha decide to get married? The thoughts flurried in her mind. They passed a row of computer monitors. John paused, a flash of the screen saver making him panic. "Bad Wolf" stared at them in bold letters. He glanced to Rose, who didn't notice. They kept going.an untimely reunion chapter 63 years ago in Sketches More Like This
"Rose, Doctor!" Mickey shouted, waving.
Rose looked up, grinning and John squeezed her hand. Mickey walked over to them, smiling. He had gotten older, which was to be expected. A smattering of hair covered his face, and he looked tired. He walked with purpose, finally finding the confidence he had been lacking when he was younger. He wore a simple button down suit and black trousers, his hands in his pockets. He was always responsible, but had become even more hardwo
a untimey reunion chapter 4Amy's head hurt. Really, it was pounding and she felt miserable. She looked between the Doctor and the Pinstriped man, to the blonde revealed to be Rose Tyler. John, the man had said. John was his human alias. She eyed her carefully. Rose was pretty, she had to admit, with her soft blonde hair, large eyes, and full lips. It was obvious why the Doctor would be attracted to her. So, she was the one the Doctor couldn't bear to mention, the one who sent him off into staring into space. Why, though, she had no idea. She soured slightly upon remembering the way the Doctor had pushed her away when she had kissed him. Of course, that had been idiotic on her part, but part of her was still hurt. She didn't know who she wanted to strangle-Rose or the Doctor. Hmm, she definitely wanted to strangle the Doctor. As far as she knew, John and Rose had done nothing wrong.a untimey reunion chapter 43 years ago in Profiles More Like This
