at Otakon this year. She was a human version of the Tardis from Doctor Who, and we took this picture in the fountain area next to the amazing Dalek someone had made. Needless to say, it was pretty dang awesome.
This costume was a big challenge for both of us. I'd never made a successful corset before, and she doesn't really like to sew. However, after scouring the internet for patterns and tips, we ended up making our own pattern to custom fit her, and, as you can see, it fits her like a glove. It also stayed together for the entire weekend without requiring repair, which was awesome. Her hat also has a light that flashes.
We worked really hard, and I think it paid off. Everyone who saw her at the convention told her she was the best Tardis there, and, in my honest opinion, I have to agree. I'm proud of how this came out, and I'm glad everyone liked it, too!
