"Heichou~” you said, flopping onto the nearby couch. “How come I'm the only one who ever has to clean your office?"
"Because I said so. And you need to learn how to clean properly, so I'm keeping an eye on you." Though, he wasn’t even looking at you since he was finishing up some paperwork.
"What? I know how to clean! If anyone doesn't know how to clean, it's Sasha!"
"Hmp. Well I don't want her eating any of my things when I'm not looking. So get your ass back to work."
You let out a heavy sigh as you followed his orders, reluctantly getting up to wipe down the windows in circle formation as you'd been taught by Levi himself. Said man now stared at your working figure, fatigue becoming more and more obvious with each stroke. And though he just wanted to take you in his arms and stop time forever, he knew he couldn't. For you wouldn't even bat an eyelash at him. Or so he thought.

“Are we even there yet?” Jean moaned as he moved around uncomfortably in his seat. “Oi horse face! Stop moving around will ya?!” Eren yelled from behind as he kicked jeans seat, enraging him. “What was that for Jaeger?! You wanna go?! He yelled back as he whipped his head around, a dark aura surrounding the two males. “Eren, stop it” Mikasa commanded softly, easing his tense shoulders with her hands. Eren crossed his arms childishly as he stared out the window while Jean sunk into his seat. “I’m not really sure...” You responded as you studied the map. “Remind me why we didn’t bring the GPS?” You questioned as you slumped into your seat, the blazing sun

I covet your nightmares.
I want to inch them apart,
wire bright and brittle
from under your skin,
split them down the middle
and crawl deep inside.
I want to wrap them
in yellow newspapers
and tatter your skin
right between your shoulder blades
with their bleak words.
I want to see them glisten
bone shard white and blistered,
the pucker of your flesh
stopping up my thoughts
in the lost vacuum of you.
I want to own them
and watch your mouth run dry
the buckle of your body
scraping up against the sky,
savoring the taste of cheap.

Dark clouds smeared the early morning skies, it felt as if it were to rain. You thought of this as a good sign, perhaps the wilted crops in the fields would be saved. Dreary eyes scanned over the poverty stricken village, everyone was sick and hopeless; you turned your back on the silent village and entered your cottage to separate herbs.
Your features were soft, but your hands were scarred from working in the fields and taking on jobs that were deemed a man's work. Living alone, you couldn't depend on anyone to do a task for you, seeing as most of the men were weak as well. Frail bodies and broken souls. The lands were ravaged by illness and vikings from far off lands, this all crushed your once thriving village with the sickness that infested humans and crops, and attacks that harbored nearby towns and cities that destroyed business' and trade

I can feel myself in a twilight forest, as the branches bow to the wind while trying to court the rain from the clouds. The leaves brush themselves against my neck and my lips, in hopes of the fire that colours their fragile veins sparking something within me. I can feel my head spin as I imagine what they think of the girl beneath them, the girl so desperate for love and affection without binds that she'd kiss the raindrops right before they hit the ground, and hold hands with thorn ridden branches.
I see the rain clouds, hanging low over the dimmed horizon, frowning down at me. I smell the rain on the wind as it races past and around me, spinning me in circles with my arms raised high. I can feel my head spin as I imagine what the clouds must think, as they blush a pale shade of grey with disappointment at the girl who was supposed to be so strong falling, tumbling, crumbling, fumbling, tearing slowly apart.

I'm very, VERY sorry for the delay, but I kinda broke my arm and it makes typing very difficult. This chapter was supposed to be a Mother's day special, but because of my stupid arm I couldn't make it! By the way, this is not the Bonus Chapter I promised to write. This one is made out of boredom, while the actual bonus chapter is going to be really sad (or at least I'll try to make it sad) But because I can only type with one arm, you'll come across lot's of typos. Feel free to point them out
I hope you'll enjoy it!
WARNING: This might contain spoilers if you haven't read the previous chapters yet

Jarl Balgruuf was in bed, a bed fit for the Lord,
In hopes that St. Nick would bring him a Sword;
In the small house known as Breezehome, Lydia did slumber,
Wishing that for Christmas she would get a Sword of Thunder;
And Archer set out some milk and a sweet roll,
Preparing for the arrival of Santa, so he wouldn't get coal;
He had no idea what this man looked like,
But he hoped that he'd visit, possibly this night
He yawned tiredly, and then scratched his head,
Before going upstairs to sleep in his bed.
In the morning, he hoped, he would have some nice presents…
Well, after all, he'd been kind to the peasants,
When suddenly, in the living room, Archer did hear,
A large man was present… when did he appear?
With a focus, then a cast, Archer was see-through,
So he could sneak behind a chair, and see what the man would do.
He wore a large red

World Conference: Introductory ChapterYou took a deep breath as you pushed open the doors to the World Conference building. You had never been more nervous to start a new job. You walked into the lobby, looking around sheepishly at the busy people rushing through. You had no idea where to report to or even who to ask; the receptionist was on the phone. You took the opportunity to take in the surroundings. The décor was delicate, and you contemplated taking a seat in one of the plush armchairs. You had barely sat down when someone called your name. "[Name]? Are you ready for the new job?" A tall man walked towards you, his blonde cowlick bobbing comically. It was America, the one who had gotten you this position.
"Ah, yes. I'm so glad you're here. Do you know where I'm supposed to go?"
He shook your hand as a greeting. "Of course, man! I'm here to escort you. Come on, I'll take you to your office," he said as he put a hand on your shoulder, steering you towards an elevator.

There was one man that made her work day a little more difficult than it needed to be, though. his name was Gilbert Beilschmidt. He was a pompous, pig headed, self centered jerk to her and only to her. He didn't give anyone else a hard time and he didn't give anyone else extra work either.

I can remember curling up into a tight ball, my knees to my chest with my forehead up against them, my hands covering my ears in a desperate attempt to keep the silence out. The silence pressed in on me from all sides, like a giant hand keeping me locked in it's grasp.
Pontius and Garnag wouldn't speak to me. They just left me alone, in the room with the Night Mother. They are not the Keeper, so they felt unworthy to go near our unholy matron. They only came near me to give me food. But not to talk. Never to talk. I was alone. No one to talk to.
After a while, I grew so desperate to hear a voice, any voice, that I began to speak to myself, and Mother's remains. I would scream, sing, cry, and talk, to ward off the silence, because my dagger was useless in this battle. Only my voice could fight. It wasn't long after that, that I began to talk in third person, just to hear someone, anyone, say my name. I prayed to Mother that someone would come soon, to help me

You pulled Arthur out of the restaurant and, totally ignoring your car, you led him to a nearby park a few blocks down the street. You refused to slow your pace after what had happened. You wanted to just run to the end of the earth to escape Alfred at this point. You had always known the American to be impulsive and hardheaded, but you would have never pinned him as the person to ruin an entire evening!
When you reached the park, you allowed yourself to slow to a gentle walk, a welcome relief to Arthur who was tripping over his feet the entire way. You looked at the clock on the church tower across the street. It was just after four in the morning. Alfred had to blow the last two hours you had with Arthur tonight. You and Arthur sat down by the fountain and sat in silence. After what seemed like an eternity, you broke the silence.
Tears began to flow down your cheeks. Arthur, who had turned his face from you when he sat down, didn't notice until he heard you s

You’d think living with a bunch of vicious, bloodthirsty, greedy savages whom dominated Northern Europe would be a life filled with fear and torture… That wasn’t necessarily the case for you.
Of course these Viking men were quite handsy when it came to women, slurring profanities and the occasional hitting of a wench who’d done wrong. You were never once hit, and you were thankful for that. Though on the downside, you’d been groped by a man once. You had done many things wrong in your attempts to be a good servant to the Viking’s that ultimately enslaved you, yet also saved you? In your constant pondering, you had realized that the Viking Lords were well respected men within their clans. That must of been the reason why none of the other men dared to lay a hand on you in a vi

Matthew got up bright and early at 8:00 am to meet you at the park, just like he did every Saturday morning. He finished his pancakes, and walked out the door with a smile.
As Matthew strolled through the park, he stopped and sat down at the nearest bench; the same bench he would always wait at. Every great day between the two of you would always start here and get better. He patiently waited and scanned around the park occasionally. He loved sitting on the bench and watching you run to him from afar, apologizing for being late. The way your face would be flushed from running full-speed, and you're babbling excuses for your tardiness was found oh-so amusing to the Canadian.
It had just turned 12:00 pm when a few more people strolled by through the park. Yet, Matthew waited patiently with that un-dying smile.
At around 3:00 pm, Alfred happened to stroll by and notice Matthew sitting on the bench. "Hey bro, how's it hangin'?" He asked with his overly-enth

CHAIN 1 : HomesickOriginal Poem: HomesickCHAIN 1 : Homesick8 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
By Salli Shepherd (salshep)
Do not let them see you blink,
Mother said, so I am careful to turn
away when my eyes dry out. My grip
on the brush is clumsy. Colours speck
and dazzle, slop like foam on rocks;
the teacher dabs their brilliance
from my flaking arms. Children whisper
behind starfish hands; they go to play
in the bright, hot yard but I stay in,
as Mother told me. Below the window
theres a tank of golden fish that circle,
circle, following their own reflections.
I dip my fingers in to scoop one up,
watch it flip and shine, cool in my palm,
and press my face deep into the water.
Membranes slide across my thirsty eyes.
I breathe, and breathe, and breathe.

Lass sie dich nicht blinzeln sehen,
hat Mutter gesagt, also gebe ich mir Mühe, mich weg
zu drehen, wenn meine Augen austrocknen. Mein Griff
um den Pinsel ist unbeholfen. Farben beflecken
und schillern, schwappen wie Schaum auf Felsen

This bath-tub winter breezed

You could only stare at the man, completely frozen in shock. He stood up, licking the blood off his fingers, and waltzed towards you with a childlike expression on his face.
“Did you miss me?” He repeated, reaching out to touch your face.
You flinched, and he pulled back, looking hurt. “What’s wrong, poppet?”
“Well, for starters, you just killed my mum,” You replied hoarsely, finding that you could move your jaw after all.
“When I got here, poppet,” He said softly, reaching out and pulling you towards him. You didn’t flinch away this time, much to his relief. “She was cursing your name and looking around so she could beat you. Do you really think I could let anybody get away with that?”
“Ollie,” You mumbled, “I’m not as defenseless as I was when I left. I’ve been leaving Berlitz at my friend’s house and constantly on the move. I only stay here for three hours for sleep.”
