World Conference: Introductory ChapterYou took a deep breath as you pushed open the doors to the World Conference building. You had never been more nervous to start a new job. You walked into the lobby, looking around sheepishly at the busy people rushing through. You had no idea where to report to or even who to ask; the receptionist was on the phone. You took the opportunity to take in the surroundings. The décor was delicate, and you contemplated taking a seat in one of the plush armchairs. You had barely sat down when someone called your name. You stood up again right away.World Conference: Introductory Chapter4 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"[Name]? Are you ready for the new job?" A tall man walked towards you, his blonde cowlick bobbing comically. It was America, the one who had gotten you this position.
"Ah, yes. I'm so glad you're here. Do you know where I'm supposed to go?"
He shook your hand as a greeting. "Of course, man! I'm here to escort you. Come on, I'll take you to your office," he said as he put a hand on your shoulder, steering you towards an elevator.

Matthew got up bright and early at 8:00 am to meet you at the park, just like he did every Saturday morning. He finished his pancakes, and walked out the door with a smile.
As Matthew strolled through the park, he stopped and sat down at the nearest bench; the same bench he would always wait at. Every great day between the two of you would always start here and get better. He patiently waited and scanned around the park occasionally. He loved sitting on the bench and watching you run to him from afar, apologizing for being late. The way your face would be flushed from running full-speed, and you're babbling excuses for your tardiness was found oh-so amusing to the Canadian.
It had just turned 12:00 pm when a few more people strolled by through the park. Yet, Matthew waited patiently with that un-dying smile.
At around 3:00 pm, Alfred happened to stroll by and notice Matthew sitting on the bench. "Hey bro, how's it hangin'?" He asked with his overly-enth

She opened her eyes, and saw that the Enderman had backed away slightly, and was now holding out a hand to help her up. The blond stared. What... Why on earth? In utter confusion, she grabbed it's hand and let out a yelp as it hoisted her to her feet with ease and held out the diamond block she'd abandoned when she'd run away. But why? Fleet tilted her head and took the block, looking into the Enderman's eyes. It stared back and seemed to quiver a little, but it could still move. Why? Just... Why?
The answer was because it liked those big bright blue eyes, and the shiny hair. The Enderman wondered whether or not the hair was soft. Fleet didn't understand why it was staring at her hair... Did it want to pet her or someth- Her question was answered as it raised it's hand to her head and ran it through her short hair. It sent a small shock through her, jolting her body. It was indeed soft, and the Enderman could detect a

It was the summer of 1957, and the night was calm and warm. The storm clouds from earlier were now just a few harmless puffs on the horizon, but the air still held a faint scent of sweet rain. A light breeze danced through the woods just outside of town, rustling the leaves of the oaks and maples and birches. And within these woods were two travelers, seemingly following some unseen path through the growth.
Come on, its just a little bit farther, called the man in the lead. He had short, scruffy, sandy brown hair and wore large, squarish glasses over his big sky blue eyes. He picked his way through the thick underbrush with an air of someone who had done it many time before. The woman behind him, however, wasnt having the same amount of luck.
I sure hope this it worth it, Will! shouted the petite Asian woman as she pulled her shirt free of another branch. I dont know how mu

It was one of those funny little revelations that creeps up on one over time. I think the first clue came when she decided to hibernate for the three winter months. At first it did not arouse my suspicions. After all I myself enjoyed a lie-in, and had once slept in three whole hours past the alarm - on a weekday! - so I did not think it particularly note-worthy when she tucked herself in at the start of December and remained there until late February. Still, it aroused in me some small seed of doubt - for I had never before known her to go even three days without tending to the garden, let alone three months.
Her taste in gardening was minimalist, and this I applauded; it may have been one of the reasons I married her, I forget now. Instead of the silly sentimentality of a lawn or a flower patch, she insisted that the entire garden was covered in soft fl
Living a Memory part 3The next morning, we were awoken by the nurses for our morning medicine dose. The main nurse stayed, but the others left. She told us that Colonel Mustang wanted to see us after we had gotten ready. I tried telling her that we didn’t have any clothes, but she just shushed me and walked over to a cupboard. She pulled out 2 little outfits for us to where. I smiled. I had jeans with a black t-shirt that had the creature on it. Finn was given another clean pair of shorts and a little black tank top. I brushed my sister’s hair and braided it like mom had shown me a year ago. It made Finn happy to have her hair braided again. But it put me in a melancholy mood because of the memories that followed the act. I just shrugged it off and brushed my hair, however I left it down. When we were all ready to go, I slipped on a pair of sandals that they provided us as did Finn. The Nurse led us down the hall to the Colonel’s office, but I led the pack for I had mastered the route alreLiving a Memory part 32 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

THE NEXT MORNING
Applejack was up bright and early at the crack of dawn. She went straight to the kitchen, and began preparing breakfast. Twenty minutes later, she quietly came into the guest room, where Rainbow was just getting up with a yawn.
"Rise n' shine, Rainbow. Got ya some breakfast here." Applejack greeted, setting a tray of hay, oats, a fresh apple, and apple juice on the nightstand next to her bed.
"How'd ya sleep?" she asked.
"A little here, a little there. Just tossed and turned all night." Rainbow replied, starting into her breakfast.
"Also, when you're done eatin', here." Applejack said, setting a hairbrush next to the tray on the nightstand.
"A brush?" Rainbow inquired.
"Yeah. Your hair's a mess. Might want to fix that." AJ answered with a chuckle.
"I'mma get Apple Bloom off to school. Give a holler if ya need anything."

One of the nurses sat on the edge of my bed. “Morning Sweetie. We’re glad to see you awake finally. How are you feeling?”
In a hoarse voice, I managed to say, “Yes.”
I had meant to say good, but I couldn't think straight. My head was spinning. The nurse smiled for she seemed to understand what I meant. She helped me sit up and sip down some liquid medicine to help my pain. Then it hit me.
“Where’s my sister?! Where’s Finn?!”
“Calm down. You’re sister is fine. She is over here, see?”
The nurse pulled back a curtain to reveal my little sister. She was still asleep. I sighed with relief. She was ok and alive. Her arm was bandaged, but other than that she didn't seem to have any

I'm writing out of concern for your son Charlie. Since he first started in my class I have noticed odd tendencies in his behaviour. I know Charlie is a special boy, but the way these tendencies develop is beginning to worry me. He seems to be having troubles communicating with others. He rarely plays with the other children and does not respond when I speak to him. His writing is beginning to stray from the alphabet. Last week he even refused to partake in morning prostration! I took him to see the school nurse but he remained silent for the entire time and did not subject himself to examination. I therefore ask you to bring Charlie to a doctor in order to find out what is causing these problems.

It seems my foes are not so easily vanquished. I must do my best to place surveillance and watch their every move.
It seems this feline humanoid, Raiza, does that same thing to her partner Aria on a frequent basis. Like a child or a cat playing with their toy.

I must discover how she accomplishes this! If I can master this, no man would question my beauty ever again!
After much digging, I have learned it all started with something they call a "vacuum cleaner"
Using my lab, I have constructed one to be the same as the one Aria trained on.

And so he started fixing the cutlery.
'Wow. We must be having the queen over or Yuzu just made a feast for dinner!' Ichigo thought surprised.

Bumblepaw tried to think of all of the essentials that a Clan would need. Food and water were a given, so Bumblepaw picked the land on the other side of the lake opposite of the mountain. There was plenty of food here, and the water was there in huge quantities. The water also helped with protection. Bumblepaw couldn't think of much else that a Clan would need.
"Duh," Bumblepaw then meowed, "a camp!" Bumblepaw cursed himself at his stupidity and started looking for the camp. It would have to be away from the water in case of floods, but not too

It rained through the early morning hours. Brackenstar stood in the wet, water dripping into his eyes and soaking his pelt to his skin. Cold was already creeping into his bones. He hated being soggy, but he didn't know a cat that didn't. Everyone rushed through their duties to hide anywhere that was warmer to groom themselves dry. Slyfoot was unlucky, however. Brackenstar wanted to watch the she-cat with her apprentice Molly. Creampelt was the new member's original mentor, but it soon became clear she couldn't handle the responsibility. The queen was nearing her second and final moon before giving birth and was sleeping most of the day. Just that morning, Brackenstar had ordered her to the nursery to rest.
The forest did a good job at keeping the water levels low. The many trees drank the liquid faster then it could fall. But there was
