Miranda's New Life Part 9Waking up calmly Miranda slowly opened her eyes. Looking around sleepily, Miranda noticed that she was in a basement library. Sitting up on all four of her arms she realized that she was in the basement of two vampires. One of them, like her had multiple arms. Smiling to herself about the fact that there was more than just her that roamed the world with more than a pair of arms, realizing she wasn't alone anymore. It made Miranda happy that she wasn't the only one in the world that was a 'freak' as normal society would consider people out of the ordinary.
Yet, Miranda felt like it was her responsibility and hers' alone to take revenge of the evil being that had taken her mother away from her. Pulling herself up with her snake tail, Miranda slithered off of the couch and towards the closest table. Taking a few moments to look around the cluttered table for a piece of paper and pen Miranda wrote a short note to Marissa explaining what she
Miranda's New Life Part 2Waking up from troubled dreams about snakes, cemeteries, and nighttime Miranda felt sore. Blinking several times, it took a moment for Miranda to gain all of her bearings. Looking around she noticed that she was on the floor of her room, at the foot of her bed. The sunlight coming through the window proved to be minimal at best; it looked like the sun had just set by the angles of light filtering through the window.Miranda's New Life Part 23 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Her eyes adjusted to the light. Miranda turned onto her side so she could stand up, only to find the feeling of two arms propping her up. Looking down in shock she saw the two right arms lying on the ground. She then looked to her left side to find the other two arms as the memories of the night before came flooding back. Fear washing back into her mind, fear of what she had become. Looking at her snake tail she found the feeling of both of her legs were now fused and intertw

Slithering into the countryside Miranda felt her sense of panic fade away, she felt like she was safe. The countryside was filled with tree groves, vast grasslands, and old mansions. The open spaces, the clear night air, and the building moister in the air soon started to calm Miranda down. She even started to smile for the first time in a very long time. Slithering through the moistened grass Miranda felt the grass through her tail. The feeling itself seemed to be such a primitive feeling but gave Miranda such pleasure. She never was able to feel the grass through her bare feet like she did with her scaled snake tail. The feeling was different as could be. With her tail the grass itself felt more alive than it could
Miranda's New Life Part 3Slithering through the wooded area Miranda was rattled, almost scared. She saved her neighbor without even thinking about and was astonished that she reacted to her new form with such ease and self-assurance that it surprised her. Miranda questioned her own sanity, could people really accept her in the form she currently found herself in.Miranda's New Life Part 33 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"I can't deal with or think about that right now," thought Miranda. "I have to figure out why this is happening".
Miranda put on her brave face, although her fear was eating her inside. Continuing to slither through the wooded area, Miranda found herself at the edge of the other end of the green belt. An expression of surprise crossed her face momentarily before taking control of her emotion once again.
Scanning the area, Miranda saw no one around. Slithering her way onto the sidewalk and then onto the dark street Miranda made her way Northward. Lookin
Miranda's New Life Part 7Miranda woke up suddenly. Taking a deep breath Miranda noticed that once again the angle of the beams of reddish-orange hue of the sun was a telltale sign on the coming night would upon her soon. Stretching out her four arms and yawning Miranda had become use to having an extra set of arms and breasts to along with an actual snake tail. "It still is kind of strange if I think about it," thought Miranda and she unwound herself from her sleeping coil position.Miranda's New Life Part 73 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Sticking her head out of the crawl hole she had entered Miranda looked around. Turning to the west a sun beam caught her directly in the eye. Miranda immediately turned away in alarm and covered her eyes with her upper left arm as she hissed. A moment later her eye sight fully returned to her. Blinking several times Miranda regained her bearings and slithered out of her makeshift hiding place and into the forest.

No answer came to Miranda as she laid there on her mother's tomb. She reached her bottom arms around the tomb stone and started to cry. She felt helpless at the hands of her plight.
Miranda pulled herself even closer to her mother's tomb; her chest pressing up against the tombstone. Taking a deep breath Miranda said quaveringly, "I'm trying mother. I'm trying. The evil you have sent me after is too strong. What could I possibly do to him?"
Miranda looked off to her left and down the hill. She looked towards the main office, church, and burial services building that was nearly centered to the entire cemetery, it was actually the border of the 'new' section of the cemetery and the 'old' section of the cemetery. But what caught the eye of Miranda was that a small group of people, maybe made up of 3 or 4 people came out of the building. It looked like they were dragging a pe

Morning drew near. Miranda's first full night being a naga was nearly done. The night was full of saving a neighbor, then meeting up with a Spector that claimed to know her mother was enough for anyone to handle. Miranda found that she was starting to become tired after the long night of trying to learn about herself as a naga. But instead she found out about things that would have been beyond her if she was still a human.
It is nearly 4:30 am and the sun was just beginning to show its rays. Although the actual sun had not risen over the eastern horizon, its rays have started to fill the sky and the dark hues of the night are fading into the lighter purples and dark blues of the early morning. The new light of the morning seemed to be a little brighter to her eyes than Miranda remembered. Miranda blinked a few times before her eyes completely adjusted.
Miranda slithered her way out of the cemetery

Waking up with a start, like I usually do; I looked around my bedroom from the comfort of my own bed. I felt completely safe from the world. The heavy cloth drapes shielded my room from the harmful daylight sun. Still half asleep, I expected my mother to start yelling up the stairs for me to get out of bed and take hold of the day.
Taking a deep slow breath I realized where I was. The memories of the last month of my life came rushing back to me like a bad dream taking over a peaceful slumber. Yet as the memories of the night before came rumbling into my consciousness like a pleasant dream, shoving the last month's bad moments away from the front of my mind.
With a smile I got up with resolve. I hastily washed off in the shower; it is amazing how cold water feels warm on my cold skin, whereas it would have chilled me to the bone if I was still human. After I dried off I quickly dressed in a tight mid-thigh length black dress. After exiting from my room I went looking for Mir
The Addition's Part 3Walking through the college campus, scared, scared that someone would notice that I was a poser. I mean I still had an extra pair of arms under the heavy sweater I was wearing that had the School's letters put onto it and I was boiling hot wearing it. At least I was able to wear a skirt today. "I just had to grow an extra set of arms during late spring didn't I. The temperature had to be in the 70's," I thought to myself as I passed the natural science building and went towards the social science building where my first class of the day was being held. It was a sunny midday adventure with not a cloud in the sky.
Over the weekend I was at least able to control my coordination a little between my four arms, at least well enough that I was able to hold my bottom two arms around my upper body as I treaded along in public sight.
Th Addition's Part 2Marissa's mother allowed her to stay inside for the rest of the weekend. For a reasonable explanation that Marissa had finally grown her extra arms. Marissa's mother knew that she was from a long line of women who, at a young age, grew a pair of extra arms. However, Marissa's mother was hoping that it skipped a generation so that she would not have to explain why she had two extra arms to her own daughter.Th Addition's Part 24 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Since that did not work out, Marissa's mother did not know how to explain this to her own daughter. It was tough enough for her to go through and accept as a child. She did not want her own daughter to have to go through the same life that she was destined to live. However, since two days ago her daughter had grown her own pair of extra arms there was no ways for her to not be able avoiding the subject.

"Marissa! It is time for you and me to leave before we draw attention to ourselves," stated the woman with red hair.
"How can you be so cold and heartless? My very best friend is dead. We have to do the right thing by bringing her to the hospital for the official death to be called," I stated in tears.
"Look at your pale skin. You must realize you don't have that luxury of being a human anymore. You are a vampire now," stated the woman.
"That doesn't mean that I can't have time to despair for my friend's death. She has been my best friend since I was in elementary school. How can I get over that as quickly as you would expect me too?" I responded.
The red headed woman sternly walked up to me and pulled me up by my upper left arm and said, "Because you are a four armed vampire. No one will understand or want to understand because they don't have the experience to know how unique and strong willed you are".
Before I could respond the red headed woman pulled me up onto my fe

Looking up at the waxing gibbous moon, seeing how the reflected light shown down upon me ever more brightly, more clearly, than it ever did when I was human. I am left in awe of the beauty of this simple trick of nature. I took a deep breath, not that I needed to; I guess old human habits die hard. Just now I felt so small in the vastness of the Universe. What difference have I made? Whose lives have I effected in a positive way?
It has been one hundred and fifty years since I became a vampire. I still remember that night vividly, seeing my best friend die in front of me. Then nearly dying myself before my sweet, oh so sweet, Athena came to my aid. I smiled and closed my eyes, letting the night air rustle my hair into my face.
The breeze passed before I opened my eyes again. With my upper arms I moved my hair out of my face. With my lower left arm I took out, from my pocket, a rubber band; who would have thought those would be still around. I tied my hair in a ponytail a

I was dragged across the moon’s bluish-white light covered land at an astounding speed. A speed I never knew existed. If this strange woman did not hold onto my wrist I would not have been able to keep up. Even with her holding onto my hand I couldn't stay on my feet. I was dragged more than lead to an unknown location. I was dragged across grass, dirt, and mud; through patches of forest, grasslands, and various types of farm fields. Broken branches and bushes hit me frequently. I couldn’t grasp what exactly what was happening or where we were going. All I knew was that this ancient female vampire was dragging me by my arm across vast distances. I continued to be dragged across the ground. I was scared for what might happen to me once we got to wherever our destination would be. I didn’t want to die. I already had to deal with death way to quickly in the death of my best friend that night at the college party. God! That seems so long ago now.

As he sat down, he felt a small box in his back pocket press against his butt. Yelping from pain, he jumped up. He reached into the pocket and took the box out. It had threads of yarn dangling from it, each end with a colored bead.
'Probably used for snake worshiping', he thought. His girlfriend did share a lot about Cambodian history during the time she was away.
He unclasped the bracelet, and put it on. It fitted on quite nicely, and Noah was pleased with it.
'Time to go shower then'. He got up from the sofa he was sitting on.
After taking a few steps, he suddenly lost control of his legs, and fell

Finally, she had her first pay for her work at her father's office. With that money, she could buy her serpent. She wanted a cobra. Since this was the first animal she bought of her whole life, she didn't really know how to do it. Sadly, she couldn't ask her parents because they hated snakes since her grandfather died of a snake bite. The rule was if she wanted one, she would have to buy it herself and take care of him herself, including buying the food and all the needed products. But she was determined. She would have her snake. The next day, she was at the pet shop." So many types of snakes!" She thought to herself. Indeed there were a lot of types. Although, one of them looked really cute. It was him that would become her snake. She called a guy to ask him to get it out for her, but the guy freaked out when she pointed it.Snakie - Naga TF5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
