I never cosplay female characters.... except when I do. Arwen was never my favourite character from Lord of the Rings, but she is absolutely adorable and so when people tried, it didn't take long to convince me to cosplay her. I hope you like these as much as I do! *__*

This is the second version of the photo. I used some comments i received from the photo and made it better. I already posted it on another photography page and i've received many great comments on this version. The staff has more details visible. in the older version it was too dark on the lower section and too bright at the edges. Now it's much more balanced. Illumination on the books seems better too. There are no more over exposed brightness. The light is much more balanced over the books as well. The composition is much batter also. In the previous version there were too many "writings" in the photo and it would distract people from the main theme of the photo: the staff. I also used an advice i got, as i had a red and blue book in the previous photo, i was told to insert a green book to the picture and therefore unify the 3 main colous (Red, Green, Blue - RGB) ;)

Used some old books i had around plus the description sheets that came with Saruman's Staff and the Anduril sword. The books are most in french or portuguese. Sorry about that :D No old english books. Only one about Edgar Allan Poe, but that one isn't old. You can see it on the picture. It's the green book on the upper-center spot.
And yes, the staff is real. It's hung on my wall =P

I've been thinking in changing this for a wallpaper. Opinions are most wellcome.

This is a photograph of a stained glass window. I took this inside the ruin of the St Nikolai church in Hamburg Germany.

FINALLY...
We've finished the main part of our hobbit cosplays! :dummy:
It's about friggin time. We planned to do these how long ago? Six months? Seven? Eight...? o_o

Anyway, we're done now with the costumes we wanted to use for most of the pictures. After this we'll be getting some fabric to make our elven cloaks and doing some 'travelling' style pics. They'll be more dark than these, less happy-go-lucky-beginning-of-the-quest.

But here it is, Pippin and Frodo from The Lord of the Rings.

We made our hobbit long-pipes ourselves, out of wire, clay, and paint. The wigs were purchased online, and Frodo's had to be cut and thinned out, then steamed a bit. It still sticks out too much so I hairspray it down onto the sides of my face. xD

Our ears were also ordered, and we painted them to match our skin tones. Almost every article of clothing was purchased from thrift stores (with the exception of Pippin's shirt and scarf, which we already owned) - we got very lucky with Frodo's shirt and their longshorts.
Special dye was ordered too, for our pants and Frodo's vest.

/end of rant

Hope these can be enjoyed by some, we're pretty satisfied with how they turned out.
