Just a random study that turned intop something more elaborate. Happens sometimes, I just find myself painting on and on even though I hadn't planned to do so. Well, there you go.

A personal piece. Just got a Cintiq24 a few days ago, I'm still getting used to it- this is the first really finished piece I've done on it.

This is an entry for the character of the week activity at ca.org.
Topic was "Life"

Here's my description:

'Life is more of a fearsome warrior than death. If you think about the world we live in, most matter is inanimate. Life is the exception. And it comes at great expense; a constant fight against thirst, hunger, pain and diseases.
So, if we're talking alegories of life, to me that's a female warrior, a lonesome source of light amongst the inanimate world.'

I'm doing tons of studies for potraits right now, none of which are really worth showing here. I did this landscape to loosen up a little- no anatomy required =)
