Xmas FeatureMERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!Xmas Feature7 months ago in Personal More Like This
For this Christmas holidays I wanted to do something special for all the people who appears in my watchers list, all of you are the reason why I keep coming back to DA, and for you I try to improve my artworks. Thank you!
So I decided to make another special Journal of features, even if some of you never write me a comment, Im happy just for having you on my list.
A clarifying note; unfortunately I can´t put everyone here, mostly because some watchers have changed accounts and they don´t use the old ones anymore, others are deactivated or simply have not been here in a looooong time (a year or more) and most likely they will not return.
Anyway, There are some of the artworks that I picked up, sorry I couldn't search your galleries more deeply more than the surface pages, this was something slow and I have little time.
First of all :iconTehChessie: ; She was kind eno

A letter to the world: A letter to us.Dear people,A letter to the world: A letter to us.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
This following text is a message for you - for each of you. Written by you - for you.
Our planet, our beloved earth, needs our help. But we can't help our planet, on which everyone of us live, when we fight each other.
Our beloved piece and our humanity is fading away. And now, it is high time to recall every human what is really important now.
No one is perfect. Our past showed this to us multiple times.
In the Middle Ages, Kings oppressed their folks and they fought against other folks and nations to gain the absolute authority. Today, in some countries the people are still oppressed by reputedly authorities. And even in some democracies, the politicians aren't following their folk.
Medias are brainwashing the public and causes more mistrust between each human.
The religions' duty is to help the religious humans to find mentally peace. Some humans find peace in god, some in different ways.
But today, many religions want to dominate other religions and they even brainwash
We Will never forgetMarch 16th is the anniversary of Rachel Corrie's deathWe Will never forget2 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
Rachel Aliene Corrie (April 10, 1979 – March 16, 2003)
was an American member of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM).
She died whilst acting as a human shield to prevent
the demolition of the home of local pharmacist Samir Nasrallah.
The ISM said she had placed herself between the bulldozer
and a wall near Nasrallah's home.
Members of the ISM said that she was killed by the Israeli bulldozer
and that there was nothing to obscure the driver's view.
Rachel was a student at The Evergreen State College.
She had taken a year off to travel to the Gaza Strip during the Second Intifada.

Final-Transform fix for 15DHey guysFinal-Transform fix for 15D2 years ago in Personal More Like This
I know it's been some time but I'm having hell of a release going on here. So I just didn't came to check on what's wrong with the saving of final transforms. I finally made it so that I'm not there 7am to 10pm every day. This means: it's fixing time.
To provide you with an acceptable solution, I just reverted the behavior of FXes to the one of 15C. So that you at least get to use 64 bit plugins / scripts AND final xforms
Here it is: http://download.xyrus-worx.org/apophysis/apo7x-15d_hf1.zip
It's a patch so just replace the EXE files in your installation. If you didn't update yet, you can with this. In this case, you also just replace the EXE files. Remember the release notes from the original 15D package, though. It contains valuable information on how to use 64 bit plugins and compile multi-architecture plugins (32/64) from existing and new plugin code.
See you soon

What do we need to shoot a Street picture?
1. A camera
Whatever kind of a camera is good. Either it is a ridiculously expensive rangefinder or an unbelievably cheap point and shoot compact. Either it shoots digital or it shoots film. Either it weighs a ton or it weighs few grams. ANY camera is fine as long as you have it with you.
2. A public place
This can be out in the streets or at the beach or inside a hotel's lounge or in a diner place or inside a supermarket or a mall or a school or whatever PUBLIC place. This public place must be visible in our picture. And things must be happening in this public place.
Exactly, people! We need people in candid situations. Definition of "candid" from Merriam-Webster's online dictionary: "subjects acting naturally or spontaneously without being posed" Definition of "candid" from Wikipedia: Candid photography is best described as un-

Famous Photographers: Dorothy Bohm"A World Observed..."Famous Photographers: Dorothy Bohm1 year ago in Art Features More Like This
Dorothy Bohm was born in Konigsberg, East Prussia and has lived in England since 1939. She was recently elected an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and is considered one of the most respected women of British Photography. I stumbled across her work accidentally, as is often the case when you discover something great. I was astounded to find that the book I had discovered was the first major retrospective exhibition of her work - in book format. Her career began in the 1940s with A World Observed becoming the title of her soon to be famous collection of photographs.

Bohm has achieved quite simply, what many of us have tried and do strive to do through our Photography. Document an ever-changing and fast disappearing world. Bohm is said to be influenced by the art critic and th

The world a blur to most
Most see a tree as a tree
The day you actually see
When the world is not the same world
A tree is no longer a tree
A tree is something that bears fruit
A tree is something beautiful
Even in the harshest winds
A tree stands its ground
A tree with leaves of majestic green
No longer just a tree
But a tree that is a work of art
That is the day you see the world
That is the day the world comes into focus
That is the day you truly see the tree

When I look at a new face, I see it from 6 different angles. Two eyes, times three senses of direction. And before you finish shaking hands with me, I will know what your dreams are.
Do you ever wonder what your problems really are? World weariness, fear, and unrealistic goals force you out of bed in the morning, and drive you like a pack animal. Day by day, you continually fill with anxiety and longing.
I am past all of that. For me, that was only "growing up". What about the difficult and unfair world? What about the dream-swallowing darkness? Cold of spreading wars and warm razor blade baths? The worst of the worst? Yes, I know all of it well. But it was dismissed, like a bad dream, when I finally woke up.
I am so relaxed. And even in a place made of unrest and bad temperaments, my day is always a simple pleasure. I have every scenario carefully mapped out, so almost everything is anticipated, seen in perfect timing. For everything th
