Acrylic A3 painting that took a long, looong time to do, painted on flimsy paper (I should have bought a canvas!) and I don't have a scanner so I had to take a photograph which is why you can see light reflecting on it.
It's about time I put a Nicholson Joker drawing up here.
I was and still am a big fan of Jack Nicholson's Joker portrayal from Tim Buron's 1989 Batman movie. I combed through many different photo ref's and decided to go with this publicity shot which nicely encapsulates Nicholson's crazed but always entertaining take on the iconic Joker.
I really like the Joker, but he is a classic villain after all ersonally, I really like the Jack Nicholson Joker, but you have to give Ledger credit, he played him very well
This was drawn really roughly then coloured in GIMP 2.8, and goodness it was a pain to do. The skin was really difficult to colour due to the various clours which are so hard to blend properly! But I ope you all like it
Moved as much as everyone in Heath Ledger's chilling performance as the Joker i knew i had to make tribute the amount of character that Heath never failed to portray in his many film roles. This marks both my first commission as well as my first completed painting on canvas. Hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I did making it. 14 X 18 acrylics on canvas
