My RoadThis journal will contain some great photographs of a winter paradise.
On December, a friend of mine, musher known as a legend, the great mentor to me has passed away, I traveled up to the mountains and went on mushing alone (skijoring: cross-country skiing + sled dog, it looks like that: http://i.pinger.pl/pgr221/0fa2234e000267884b460f96/justyna_kowalczyk_10.jpg but with a dog pulling you) with my leader Arnaq. Instead spending Christmas at cozy places, I've been very hardly training cross-country skiing (skate style) alone and with my dog as well. On that month I've been doing negatively physically as well mentally, especially that feeling of emptiness after losing someone where you will never see this person again- sport was absolutely to best thing to help myself to overthink many things and make me to stand on feet properly.
But other than sport by itself I did but that trip was kind of my personal memorial for that musher who passed away. In his name I went on mushing. For

Every year is like a chapter of our lives.
The object of a new year is not a celebration of a new year, nor having a new number displaying in our callendar but it is where we should have a new soul.
To sit down and think over how to improve up our lives.
Also is not a day to cry out loudly how our past year was unsuccessful and impatiently wait when it will be over, start a new, but to learn who we are and how we can move forward.
I'm not here to wish a good New Year Eve since it's not the only day which will decide how our new year will be like… however what I truly wish you guys lots of joy for every day for this year, as well for next year- regardless what is the day or what's happening. Every day is a miracle and a proof of our existence.
Smile to yourself while looking at your image reflected by mirror and don't be shy to say "I love you" to yourself. And lots of love to all livings forms, animals and nature and less interest to mater

I would like to state how community flow is really important for me. No, not only for me but to many people. Just many people aren't aware of this.
I think the interactions between the artist and watchers - and whole community relationships thing - is one of the most vital parts that our creations exist. Writers have fans, travelers, artists, illustrators, companies, fashion bloggers etc. and so on. You may call it as a "fanbase", thus I prefer to not call because "fans" and "fanbase" has a lot of negative stereotypes and image about blindly screaming "minors". I'd prefer to name differently, because I do not view them as minors. Absolutely. I view them as an every worthy human on equal worth as the creator and that's a fact. They are just guests to

I know! I've been away from DA and other online source due to that I've took care of my real life completely, I've been absent from art and I will try to reply most of notes on dA... but firstly, let me share with my happiest news that I bear with me. As a following update about Dingo's situation. I know, some of you may think by that time he could be on the rainbow bridge... he really could be gone, I could be utmostly depressed and even wouldn't be able to continue my health therapies. Who knows! But life really can surprise us...
As you see, he is still with us. I've been enjoying every single day with him!

Dog Behavior & Body Language – Your Dog’s Language
© Written by cKyfan7788
You ever wonder what your dog might be trying to communicate with you?
It’s not as complicated as you may believe. In fact, all too often people tend to misinterpret a dog’s body language, resulting with the person being hurt to a dog’s own life being taken in defense. This is mostly caused by choosing to hear more with our ears, instead of looking with our eyes. Not

I was on the train on my way to faraway mountains.
My phone was ringing.
An unexpected call.
All what I remember after picking up is hearing these words: "he passed away".
When you hear that someone close/important to you/you know/ect,, the time feels like has stopped. It becomes a feeling of eternity. That feeling is also similar to the feeling of love but it's on opposite side of mirror.
Someone very important for me has left our world today at the morning.
That feeling…. when you get a call that someone close to you got very ill or had car crash or was busted, you usually feel sad, so worried and have feeling of hope. Or you feel anger. That kind of anger like you want to blame society. Then you ask a lot of questions if everything will be alright with her or him. You feel many emotions from sadness, feeling sorry, being worried and anger. And so on

And this IS watercolor painting. 100% watercolor. Kthnxbye.
I've been a lot in traditional art society, and just... I spotted this artwork. No, at the first it was a photograph for me. For really long time I wasn't interested to take a look deeper at that common photograph until I got bothered by loads of people to take a peek on it.
That really knocked me out from chair, is not the fact it's 100% painting but it's watercolor. I've seen 100% photo looking a like acrylics, oils and really mixed medium ways of paintings but... watercolor alone? And that's from simple watercolor "squares" palette.
I'm not really fan of photo-realistic paintings, I do love real life paintings with very artistic touch and with it's own original style... but for this one I have lots of "wow" for this artist to master watercolor on insane level of skill by using simple techni

However that doesn't mean I'll go on 100% for sure (the final decision of booking will come in springtime) but perh

I FEEL SO good and healthy.
I lost probably around 10 pounds.
No headaches or stomac pains, which I usually have now and then.
SO MUCH MORE ENERGY
my skin looks a lot healthier.
I can consume vegetables/fruits I hate which is good for me by just mixing them with other stuff. Brilliant!
SO much waste of fruit/vegetable meat, and always having to clean the juicer every time. But thats it.
>8D IT FELT SO GOOD EATING A SANDWHICH TODAY NOW THAT IVE DONE and been drinking nothing but fruit and veggies for 10 days.
I will keep making juice, and as a lover of juice before I got the juicer, im happy to stop buying processed nonnutrientfilled juice and change
Tip of the day: The darkest momentsThe moment to shine the brightest is in darkness. Darkness can bring chaos but with it comes opportunity. Many times throughout my career when I pushed past the point when I'd usually give up, this is when I end up achieving my biggest successes. Animals (photogallery)Animals were always important for me- especially having physical contact with them. Not because of art. No one told me or persuaded to like them. It was even before I started drawing them and creating imaginary creatures. I'll say, I don't really remember the moment when I started liking animals- I feel like I liked them before I gained my own consciousness. Which is strange, none of my parents had special liking to them, nor we had any animals. My passionate love to animals was written in the stars that no one can erase or manipulate with my feelings toward our little brothers...Animals (photogallery)7 months ago in Personal More Like This

Commissions WidgetSome of you may aware of the newest released feature by deviantART- that very long awaited widget/module/space for commission on your personal page.Commissions Widget1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Here is my thought about it, no, actually a serious concern where I posted there- please read it first: http://comments.deviantart.com/1/347788178/2897698997
To add more: in my opinion I am quite disappointed with that new commission module which have quite childlish feeling (devART, IMHO, represents art as entertaiment which is pushing far away from art as a serious profession in our real world /where in effect many people don't take us, full time working artists seriously etc./ besides of Portfolio release where they did a good job. But when money is involved...) and that's pretty much fast-food commission for quick take and out (points, quick modul and price limit).
That addition of the price limit (which is very low) which may suggest to many young people about fixed general idea of price with art into mentality (art has

It has been half year after his traumatic accident where he was meant to be above the Rainbow Bridge, but I saved his life... A few people asked me about him, I thought to make small update about him.
He is doing so well, like that accident has never happened! Even more- after accident he got a "horse tail", meaning his tail was paralyzed and he would never "tail wag" or hang it on back like greenland dogs do. But after some time... his tail has returned like it was before! You really can call it as miracle how he could regenerate his damaged nerves to be able move it again? Look how he's enjoying life right now:
But on the other hand, he's really old and it's still hard to think to be prepared his leaving at any time. I feel like... more sensetive on him than ever.... Oh well.
Now, gotta back on my reporter tasks that my teacher assigned me to do.... which is about the worst s

I find these extremely inspiring, beauty in composition of something rust, ugly and cracked with colors. Yet so spooky (I enjoyed that scary, adrenaline-alike feeling when I entered one of these!) and bear in mind that presented photographs certainly look a lot prettier than in reality due to famous SLT's amazing color perception :> I just thought to share inspiring finding beauty in "ugly". Technically there is a big story standing behind this and why, but for now I'll save writing a wall of text.
When you see falling apart the paint coat, do you feel there must be something wrong? Why in nowadays or in modern a crackle of paint is something unacceptable? Does it symbolize of something unstable?

Two months and eight days, 64 chapters plus an epilogue, 134 single-spaced typewritten pages, 74478 words and countless hours later, Everlasting Snow has finally come to a close.
And, to tell you the truth, I have no idea where to start.
Let's start just over a couple months ago, with a girl, a laptop, and a movie. One that changed her life. For the better. One that connected with her on such a deep level that no amount of writing or creating could get it out of her system, and never will. One that revived her love of writing, something she hadn't done in years because it never gained any recognition, she never felt it was good enough, and life events just left her feeling so trampled upon, further deterring her from putting the pen to the paper.
And so, never before so inspired and just recently discovering the world of fan fiction, she opened her laptop, brought up Microsoft Word, and began to write, not helping but feeling that a certain winter spirit (th

In Defense Of Making A Living Through ArtThere's a frustrating element I've noticed lately in regards to Art. "Art with a capital 'A'", as a friend of mine calls it. And I suppose this blog was triggered by the cancellation of the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fan game Fighting is Magic. The fandom lost its collective shit because Hasbro sent the developers a Cease and Desist letter. The entitlement was just amazing to watch, and even worse was the sheer ignorance. Some of it stupid, like "Technically, all fanworks are parodies, so it's not illegal!" and "Copyright laws are so stupid!" to cruel, like "They can just take their development overseas, then Hasbro can't stop them!"In Defense Of Making A Living Through Art1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I was baffled by this. Because Hasbro had the right to protect their intellectual property.
See, I've been a freelance artist for a while now. And it's hard. It is so freaking hard, and part of the reason it's hard is because the default attitude of most people you deal with is, "We're not, like, going to pay you a lot. Or give you i
A Discussion For the Budding ArtistI wanted to write something for all of the younger artists on dA (those who are not yet in college), who are thinking about pursuing art as a major or a career. I am in no way an expert, but I do have a lot of experience to share, and if you care to hear it, than feel free to read (: And I would love to hear people's thoughts and opinions on some of the ideas I present.A Discussion For the Budding Artist1 year ago in Personal More Like This
This past semester I have buckled down and have started to really think about art as a career and not just as a pastime anymore. I think this partially stems from the transition from high school to college. It's a strange thing being thrown into 'the adult world' and having to think about everything in a whole new light. For me, I had my mind made up that I wanted to be an artist since I could conceive the concept of having a job. I had never swayed in that decision until I was faced with the reality of the art world. It is a CRUEL, COMPETITIVE, CHALLENGING, TIME-CONSUMING in
Don't take their wings awayOkay I don't know why but everytime I see someone with a clipped bird heck even a picture of one I get really mad or upset and really want to try and reason with the owner about itDon't take their wings away1 year ago in Personal More Like This
and I know I should calm down about that as its not my right to say but its just, I cant help it.
I find it even worse when I see photo's of the same bird with full primaries and then newer images with it clipped I just really feel people aren't taking into consideration the birds needs and only their own.
though I guess looking up the effects of wing clipping lately probably hasn't helped
(as it turns out to no surprise wing clipping as a psychological effect on the bird causing them to be more fearful of things passing over their head and an extreme fear of falling which obviously would not occur in a flighted bird)
I just feel people aren't doing their research on how it effects their birds mental health which is very important!
yeah i knwo I've ranted about this before but I just needed to ra

Wait ... what is "now", anyway? I ... let's see...
Hmmm, well ... there is no such thing as the "present". All things actually exist at the "same time". It's a huge misconception of people's picture of time.
When an object moves through space, it moves slower through time. If I wave my hand back and forth, its clock runs slower, so it stays behind the rest of me in time. It is now in the past relative to the rest of me. But my hand is still here. If what people call the present were a moment constant in time, then my hand should be gone, as I just sent it into the past. This is true for all particles in the universe. So why are we still in the "present"?
The answer is that there is only 1 space. If you were to travel into the past, you would still occupy this space. You have 4 coordinates; 3 for your point in space and 1 for your point in time.
Even a time traveler who goes 10 minutes into the past would still be visible here, because he o
The Triple BindI just read a pretty interesting book about the healthy emotional development of young girls called The Triple Bind. In a nutshell, it says that three contradictory rules are causing self-destruction among young teenage girls. The Triple Bind1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Rule#1: Fulfill the traditional "girl" expectations -- look pretty, be nice, get a boyfriend -- while excelling at "girl skills": empathy, cooperation, nurturing, relationship building, and family foundation.
Rule#2: Succeed at "boy goals" -- get straight A's, be a super athlete, be aggressive, be competitive, win acceptance to Ivy League, etc.
Rule#3: Be 100 perfect, 100 percent of the time and make it look effortless. Alternative roles that previously offered escape like beatnik, tomboy, intellectual, hippie, punk, or goth have been co-opted, consumerized, and forced into a single narrow definition of what a woman should be.
I realize this is a far cry from what I usually write about, but one chapter of the book
