Saruman the White was an Istari and the chief of the wizards in his time and dwelt in the fortress of Orthanc in Isengard, below Methedras. The Istari were five wizards who were sent to Middle-earth to combat the growing power of Sauron, the Dark Lord. Saruman studied in depth the arts of Sauron. However, he soon became enamored of Sauron's devices, especially the One Ring, turned traitor to his mission, and sought power for himself by attempting to find the One Ring.

Gandalf the Grey, Mithrandir, and later known as Gandalf the White is the wisest of the Maiar. For over 2,000 years, the Grey wizard worked most faithfully against the rising powers of evil in Middle-earth.

Gandalf one of the most iconic wizards of all time, and one of my very favorite characters of all time.

Smaug was the greatest and most powerful Dragon in the later part of the Third Age, and the last of the great Fire-drakes of Middle Earth. His invasion of Erebor and his possession of the Lonely Mountain made him extremely wealthy, since the Lonely Mountain was once home of Dwarves and still held much of their treasure. Smaug lived there for many years, until he was slain during the events of The Hobbit.

Here's my tribute to Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
Well, not exactly a tribute but asked how many wizards there are, Gandalf says there are five, naming himself, Saruman the White, and Radagast the Brown, then saying he can't remember the names of the other two. Their names, Alatar and Pallando, appear in the book Unfinished Tales, but the filmmakers don't have rights to use material from that book. x)) Just so happy that PJ took the opportunity to acknowledge that on screen. :')

UPDATE [10-2-2013]: I decided to repaint Alatar's face. I thought I'd tweak it a bit coz I kind of like this piece and i wanted to improve it. :P

This didn't start out as Sauron. But everything is better with some LOTR up in it.

Also, not really happy with how it turned out, but I'm sick of looking at it.
