(Modern AU Jarida): Truth or Dare
Summary: After a game of truth or dare, Merida does the impossible. She is now forced to go on a date with the person she hates most, discovering newfound feelings along the way that may forever change their fate.
Truth or Dare—that’s how it all started.
Merida was faced with a ultimatum between both—and knowing it was at the hands of the one and only Jack Overland—made it all that more terrifying. She stared at the bottle that was pointing at her, forcing her to choose her fate. Knowing Jack, he wasn’t going to make this easy on her. The smug look on his face told her that he already had something planned. Rapunzel, Hiccup, and most of their friends waited in anticipation.
“Have you decided yet, Slingshot?” he asked her, obviously amused towards her dilemma.
She gritted her teeth at him. “ Hauld yer horses!” she demanded.
“Oh come on, we al

A little redhead pulled back the string of her brand new bow.
She notched the wooden arrow, shooting straight and true,
Directly into the thicket, leaving the bushes askew.
There she wandered; searching for her prize,
Unaware she had caught the attention of a certain winter sprite.
Jack flew down to watch her, his hand on the staff he grasped,
And recoiled with surprise when she looked in his eyes and gasped.
"Jack Frost." She whispered, baby blue eyes filled with awe,
And grabbing her lost arrow, from the woods she did withdraw.
Merida ran back to her parents, ginger mane flying in the wind,
Practically jumping with excitement, she slowed to a stop and grinned.
"I saw him!" She exclaimed, "I did, I really did!"
"Who did you see?" Elinor asked, her tone lighthearted.
"Jack Frost!" The little girl answered, her voice overjoyed.
Her mother laughed as her father frowned, very much annoyed.
"Those are old wives' tales." Fergus

Ch1 The Boy from Berk
It was a sunny day in the Highlands of Scotland with a cool breeze coming off the ocean which was calm that day. Above it the blue sky was dotted with only a few clouds when suddenly a black streak shot by, the black streak turned out to be a dragon. The dragon was jet black in color, obviously a Night Fury, with greenish-yellow eyes. What was different from most dragons was he had a mechanical fin on his tail that seemed to be attached to a saddle he was wearing on his back and there was a boy sitting on the saddle. The boy had dark auburn hair with green eyes and was wearing dark green pants, a green tunic that went to his mid-thigh, a brown belt where there looked to be a small knife, and a riding vest. The thing that stood out on him was that while he had a typical Viking-style boot on his right foot his left was a spring-loaded prosthetic leg that fit into the stirrup on the dragon's saddle. His name was Hiccup, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III to be precise, an

Summary: The gang decides to go to a ski resort for a weekend, and with Jack and Merida there, things could never go as planned.
Merida struggled to step through the snow with her ski equipment on, complaining the whole time of how restricted she felt while wearing them. Everyone was already set off in pairs, waiting patiently for their lift to arrive. Obviously it had to be couples amongst their group of friends, only leaving her with one other person who wasn’t taken. She turned to the person in question, his grin indicating the fun he was about to have. This trip was proving to be a pain; it was bad enough that she didn’t even know how to ski; or ice skate; or even snowboard—everything about this weekend was against her element. Not for Jack though, he was a born natural for this stuff, and it annoyed her to no end.
They took a step forward after Hiccup and Astrid got on their lift, now waiting for Eep and Guy t

"Take it. You deserve it. You've EARNED it. You've saved us all."
Alice stared longingly at the bottle, knowing it would grant her the one wish that she desired the most if she was to drink the purple liquid bubbling inside of it. She took the bottle, held it up closely to her beautiful face, blinking at the sight. "If..." she said quietly. "If I drink this, will... Will it take me home...?" The White Queen nodded slowly. "If that is what you wish," she said, rather uncomfortably.
Alice stared at it some more, then, sighing, slowly twisted off the black lid that was keeping the liquid from spilling out, and tossed it aside. She heard gasps of surprise, shock, and even disappointment.
She slowly turned around, only to see each and every one of her friends staring longingly at her. "Please

Imagine this setting: We skim above a dark, wild ocean. Then we turn towards a lone island, its name, Berk. It is a gigantic shard of rock jutting straight out of the water. Our sight gazes over rolling hills to reveal a small village nestled on an outcropping of sea mounts.
This is Berk. Its twelve days North of hopeless and a few Degrees South of freezing to death. It's located solidly on the meridian of misery.
My village. In a word, sturdy. And it's been here for seven generations, but every single building is new.
We have fishing, hunting, and a charming view of the sunsets. The only problems are the pests. You see, most places have mice or mosquitos. We have...

I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me grumpy cat, now when did
You last let your heart decide?
I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over, sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride
A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we're only dreaming
A whole new No
A dulling place I don’t want to know
But when I’m way up here
It’s crystal clear
That I’m certain I do not want to be here with you
Very certain I do not want to be here with you
Boring, grumbling, wastin’ time,
Through an endless musical scene in the sky
A whole new No
Don’t you dare close your eyes
A hundred thousand things I wish to un-see
Hold your breath- it gets better
I’m not going to hold my breath
Why don’t you
I want to go back to where I used to be
A whole new world
Every turn I want to die
With new horizons to pursue

I walk further and further in to the woods, swerving under branches and jumping across small ditches. My eyes darting, in search of the place it all began.
After about thirteen minutes I reached the scene of the crime.
I bend over to pick up and study the remnants of the discarded bola...
"Dragons are meant to go for the kill So, why didn't you?" I mutter to myself.
I drop the bola and begin to press on in the direction it flew off. I drop into a rocky crevice and follow it to an isolated cove, complete with a pristine spring pool. I scan the high stone walls... then notice a single black scale on the ground. I crouch and pick it up, studying it.
"Well this was stupid." I grumble to myself.
Suddenly, the Night Fury blasts past him. Making me recoil, watching the massive beast struggle to climb the walls. It flaps violently, and then peels away to a rough landing. The dragon appears to be trapped.
I grin, excited to see it again, and slowly begin to slip closer. I w

"Now, imagine all your anger is seeping into the arrow." I instructed him. "Let go." I whispered as he released the arrow. The arrow whizzed through the air and thumped hard against the center of the target. At the sight of the bull's eye my lips turned up in a smile and I grinned. "I knew you could do it."
"I should have listened to you the first time, right?" Jack murmured softly.

Returning from a ride through the glen, Merida caught her mother's eye as she walked into the room and remembered to hang her bow over the back of her chair rather than placing it on the table. After the whole bear incident, Merida and Elinor had both been trying to make changes, such as Merida trying to remember not to place her bow on the table, and Elinor had stopped complaining that her daughter had a weapon in the first place.
Taking a seat at the table, Merida helped herself to some dinner. Maudie chose that moment to enter the hall, carrying a tray.
“Letter from the Clan MacGuffin.” Maudie announced.
“That'll be for me then.” Merida said, rising from her seat and making her way around the table to pluck the letter from the tray before it reached her mother. The queen smiled at her daughter, sure that when she was ready to marry, Merida would choose Lord MacGuffin's son as her groom. Of her three suitors, it was young MacGuffin who wrote M

Fionna watched as all of the cheerleaders came out of the changing rooms after practice all made up, leaving the mirror free. "About time, I thought they were going to break the mirror", she thought arrogantly. She walked towards it and saw herself, naturally, but not dressed how she actually was at that time in her cheerleading outfit and her hair tied up in a high pony tail. Instead she saw herself wearing a strange looking hat with white bunny ears that only showed her fringe and a basic blue top. She tilted her head as if to investigate her reflection. Her reflection moved in unison with her. That showed her that it was really her reflection, not just a silly video or a joke. She then looked at the background behind her reflection. It wasn't the girls high-school changing rooms. Instead it was a wooden based room, no, it was more than that: it was as though the room had been built in a tree. "How strange." To check to see if the mirror was real, Fionna

When she got her breathe back, she tried to think what would be her next step. She looked around and she saw a duck looking at her. "What the heck is doing a duck in the forest? Maybe that means that there's a lake near here... I'm so thirsty..." And she just looked at him, maybe he was about to go to his home, but he just stood there, looking back. After a few minutes, she couldn't wait more like that, and she shout at him:
