I See Your Deflecting
I See Your Deflecting
And what are you?
You're just there watching,
Come here to my arms,
Come into my heart.
See my life exploding with you in it
Like the stars about to start.
And maybe I'm just naïve,
From the lines of lies that you keep dripping –
Why am I so full of compromise?

Where I go, I go,
Like a river flows, you know
I have a tendency to roam (it shows),
And I just love to change my mind.
I'd love to stay, but I haven't the time -
Stay too long and my mind goes blind.
If I can't see than I'd rather die,
So I must move on, and on...
I have so much to find.
And what I know, it glows -
Like the sun might show, you know?
As I go, my ideas, they grow.
Every time I stop they slow,
But I like the feeling of their flow -
So I run mad to relieve my mind.

Shriek Raven, cry!
Let go your tongue,
For your Lady sleeps in a pool of blood.
The vengeant cross has cleaved her head-
My poor Raven cry, your Lady's dead.
Before the crowd, before her words,
Did cold iron steal her sacred birth.
What of the World, with the Mother gone?
Would that all Earth could hear your silent song.
Her destiny met before her decree heard,
The oath forsaken forgetting to be remembered.
Oh Raven, do cry!
There is blood of the Goddess spilled on the hearth
-The Old Sow sacrificed for less than it's worth.
The whole court did witness her final demise,
Through all the Great Loss let its sadness

Sorrows of the Dragon Lord
In the woods,
By the dragons layer,
A house lay silent
- Misplaced there.
Misplaced among the creatures of knowledge and magic.
Creatures living in the realm of the dragons layer.
There lay that house,

The horizon was a-boil with the pink rising sun:
A bed of gold satin in Helios' wake.
Enjoy the alba, child,
As it portends of things to come,
Things that end,
Things like love.
Remember the world that dazzled?
The world that sung?
But all he could do was say goodbye,
"Shouldn't you?" he cried
Head in hand,
Soul in pieces
Melting like clouds on gorgeous mornings.
Darling, pull the shades down

(Whisper) please don't look at me.
When I was 8 they said I looked strange
I noticed my eyes and nose weren't the same
I looked at myself and frowned
My face wasn't meant to be so round
So I asked my mummy if I was okay
She looked into my 'almond eyes' just like daddy used to say
Smiled and said 'I look more beautiful each day,
They wish that they had your smile
And that's how they showed it
By saying to you their bit'
Then I got confidence in myself for a while
With who I am, how I looked and with my own style
God made you and me the same way
You should only get judged by what you do
Don't listen to what the

The sirens sing of bluer skies
and more exotic flowers than these,
something new to see and smell.
And what freedom a bird has!
The ability to come and go
as he pleases.
I say, "What's the price?"
And here I am, stuck in a hole
hearing ballads of far away places,
listening to scathing lies,
most unlike my cherishable dreams.
I'm led to think that making
good memories can be profitable,
but only to those who cherish them.
"From where do memories come?"
Yes, traveling through life while standing still,
That's a reality for me.
The breakout will never happen,
but I can dream, can't I?
I want more.
