Always connected- Chapter 1The midday sun shone through the branches of the apple tree that Applejack was resting under. She had spent the whole morning bucking apples from the trees of her family’s orchard and had decided to take some time for herself. Just as her eyes began to drop, an enormous gust of air knocked the tan Stetson she wore straight off her head.Always connected- Chapter 12 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
“How do you expect to beat me at the next iron pony competition if you can’t even handle this orchard?” asked the cyan Pegasus with the hexachromatic mane.
“Rainbow Dash! How dare you! Ah woke up at the call of the rooster this morning just so ah’d be able to get this work done before the sleepover at Twilight’s tonight,”
“Hey, hey take it easy AJ, I was only teasing, besides the reason I’m here is to show you this awesome trick I came up with,” exclaimed Rainbow Dash. “It will have to impress the wonderbolts with its awesomeness.” Applejack rolled her eyes.

Twilight cast the spell on Applejack, merging her mind with that of the comatose Pegasus Rainbow Dash, in an effort to wake up Rainbow from her coma. The coma was a result of a brutal attack by Rainbow's former friend Gilda, the griffin. Twilight slumped down, exhausted from the effort of casting such a difficult spell. Fluttershy flew over and helped her up.
"Are you okay Twilight?" Asked the timid yellow Pegasus, Twilight nodded to indicate that she was okay. The others that had gathered in Rainbow's hospital room breathed a sigh of relief. Twilight's friends had all gathered to give Twilight support; there was Fluttershy, The white Unicorn Rarity, the pink earth pony Pinkie Pie and Applejack's Brother and Fluttershy's coltfriend Big Mackintosh.
"So what do we do now Twi." Asked Big Mac, his voice full of concern for his little sister, Fluttershy flew over and hugged him.
"We do the only thing we can; we wait." Said Twilight, she had originally intended to go into Rainbow's mind to r

Applejack adjusted the wide-brimmed purple hat that sat on her head and took a deep breath, watching as her family prepared for a battle that would decide the very fate of Ponyville. In the distance stood the largest building in Ponyville, the town hall that rested in the centre of town. At the moment however, it looked more akin to a fortress than a place to pay fines. The police that had surrounded the building were quaking in fear as uncountable amounts of arrows and magical fireballs assaulted them from the Minotaur and traitorous police that hid inside. Looking out over the battle from the balcony on the top floor was Flame, leader of the gangs that had taken over Ponyville. The smirk on Flame's face made her wish that her powers were working so that she could teleport up there and wipe it off his face. Applejack spotted the Police chief hiding behind Roseluck's florist, as the fire department tried desperately to save the stores and homes from the fireballs.

Twilight was breathing heavily as she chased the Griffin Prince Alistair through the narrow back streets of the Griffin capitol city of New Grifburg. Her white and red hood and cloak flapped in the wind and Twilight could just see the barest glint of the knife embedded in Alistair's wing joint, preventing him from taking off and escaping her. She had been sent by Princess Celestia to assassinate the prince, and at first, she believed it was only to destabilise their society with the absence of the Griffin emperor Gregor, but after spending some time amongst the city's denizens, she came to the conclusion that her mission was in fact to save them all from the tyranny of the prince's regime. Alistair changed direction abruptly, heading up some stairs that were attached to the side of a building. Twilight followed, never letting him out of her sight for more than a second. He dived over the railing, landing on a gravel covered rooftop. Twilight didn't hesitate, leaping over the side. Her

Near the centre of town sat a large tree. It had originally been the town hall during Ponyville's early years. More recently, however, the tree house had become Ponyville's library. It was a place of peace in times of trouble and much to the residents' dismay, it was often damaged. The tree was bathed in the golden light of the morn, making the frost on the leaves sparkle like the stars. These were the same stars that the tree house's sole occupant, the unicorn Twilight Sparkle, had spent most of the night gazing at. Twilight turned over as the sunlight filled the room, trying to catch a few more minutes of sleep before she had to begin repairs on the hole in the ceiling that Twilight's Pegasus friend Rainbow Dash had made the day before. Normally she would have fixed it

Rainbow Dark landed on the ground with a boom, the ground cracked beneath her hooves and a ripple of dust extended away from her. Other ponies in the vicinity backed away as she flared her wings and scowled, her eyes full of rage. Luna landed behind her and started to make her way toward her. Rainbow Dark turned and bellowed;
"No! Stay back. How dare you try something like that. It was not your place." She yelled, and Luna took a step back as spittle flew from Rainbow Dark's mouth. Rarity and Black Diamond galloped toward the scene, looking at Rainbow Dark in fear.
"Rainbow, what happened?" asked Rarity, still keeping her distance from the enraged Pegasus. Rainbow Dark kept her eyes fixed on Luna, the red irises glowing.
"You precious Princess Luna just forced a kiss on me." She told Rarity, who gasped and looked at Luna in shock.
"Is that true Luna?" Rarity asked, and Luna could only look at the ground and nod in shame. Rainbow could hear the hurt in Rarity's voice as she galloped ove

The shockwave rippled up her arm as her hoof collided with the cheek of a griffin guard. Twilight's mane and tale were ablaze with magical fire; mostly for show, it was just an illusion to make herself look more intimidating. Her entire body was covered in magical armour; plates of glowing magenta energy that defected nearly any blow. Around the knees of her hind legs and going all the way up her legs and spine was a complex mechanical system of Twilight's own design. It supported her knees and back so that she could stand upright, much like Pinkie Pie after her bout of brainwashing. It was both a huge strain on her body and her magic. The spell used up a surprising amount of energy and with Twilight already exhausted from her earlier fight, she was struggling to keep it stable.
'I'll give them some credit, these guys are pretty dedicated to their job,' she thought as she threw a knife into the chest of an advancing guard. The twenty that remained had done their job well, protecting co

Rainbow Dash and Applejack opened the door to the special ops tent, finding the Doctor, Derpy and Luna inside. Derpy cradled her foal in her arms and Luna and the Doctor were huddled over a map, discussing strategies. Luna greeted them as they entered and Rainbow and Applejack nodded in response, determined to get the truth out of the Doctor. Rainbow slapped her hoof on the table to get the Doctor's attention. He looked up at her surprised.
"Rainbow, is everything okay?" asked the Doctor, looking at her nervously.
"No Doctor, everything's not alright, you see, AJ and I need some answers. And you seem like the pony to give us those answers." She said forcefully, and Rainbow could see Derpy give her a look out of the corner of her eye. The Doctor gave her a look of sympathy.
"Girls, I understand your need for answers, but sometimes it will all be revealed if you are patient." Said the Doctor, making Rainbow more frustrated then she already was.

Equine Vampiris- Chapter 3The bittersweet taste lingered in her mouth as she dropped her prey, the barely conscious mass collapsing onto the dusty path below. With every fading heartbeat, the prey let a little more of red fluid flow from the open wound in their neck. A scowl crossed her lips at the thought of the fluid that sustained her being wasted. With a growl, she started walking back to her nest, the first warm slivers of sunlight beginning to break over the surrounding hills. She could feel herself getting weaker, the sunlight draining away the little strength she got from her feed. But she could still taste the blood around her mouth and savoured the flavour.Equine Vampiris- Chapter 31 year ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Rainbow Dash pulled Applejack closer, savouring her marefriend as they shared their first real kiss. She let Applejack's warmth console her, still distraught over recent events. Applejack pulled away, her green eyes looking deep into Rainbow's and smiled.
"How does it compare to the dream?" asked Applejack and Rainbow giggled.
"I don't want to ever stop." Said Rainbow, smiling wide. She kissed Applejack again, softer this time, not ever wanting the moment to end. Rainbow jumped as a flash of light appeared behind Applejack. She flipped her over, trying to protect Applejack, as the light dimmed, leaving a pony covered by a white and red hood and cloak.
"Who Who are you?" asked Rainbow, frightened of the stranger. The stranger made her way over to the two frightened ponies. She lowered her hood, revealing a very familiar purple unicorn.

Applejack and Twilight walked towards the unicorn command tent, with Applejack hoping that one of Twilight's magic books could help her gain control of her powers. Twilight walked happily along, happy to have her friend with her to do research, while Applejack was just more interested with finding the answer she wanted. They entered the tent and found Princess Luna and another pony Applejack didn't recognise. She was a Pegasus with a pale black coat and her mane and tail were the same colour as Luna's. Her cutie mark was a dark blue star and she also had one on her face, right in between her eyes. Luna looked up at them both and smiled.

Applejack avoided Big Mac's eyes as she dressed in a black and purple outfit, noticing how comfortable it still felt after such a long time. "This is crazy AJ! We aren't here to play dress up; we are here to bury Granny Smith." He yelled, and Applejack could see the others staring out of the corner of her eye. Very calmly, Applejack picked the mask back up and sat it on the table. She put her hoof on Big Mac's shoulder and looked him in the eyes, trying to think of the words to explain her reasons for what she wanted to do.

Uncharted: Applejack's journey- Chapter 1'Come on AJ, get up. It was just a little ole train crash. You've been in worse. Now get up!' thought Applejack as she writhed on the ground. Sharp shards of gravel were digging into her skin as rolled onto her stomach, wincing as a bolt of agonising pain shot up her arm from her left wrist. Opening her eyes, she saw just how much devastation the train crash had actually caused; trees all around her were ablaze or completely torn out of the ground after the carriages of the train had crashed into them. Applejack got to her feet, instinctively placing her hand over the bloody wound in her side. With a groan she gripped the shard of metal that had embedded itself in her abdomen. She took a few deep breaths before tearing it out, crying out at the same time. She gritted her teeth against the pain, throwing the three inch long piece of shrapnel on the ground as she started to walk.Uncharted: Applejack's journey- Chapter 11 year ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

“Please Rainbow, it’s me, Applejack, your best friend,” pleaded the imposter, beginning to tear up. “Ah know that this is hard to believe, but ya really are in a coma. Me and Big mac saved you from Gilda. You are in the Ponyville hospital, surrounded by your friends.”
“I’m gunna stop you right there, Gilda? You think Gilda attacked me. Wow she must be pretty determined to have come back from the dead,” said Rainbow mockingly.

Twilight rubbed her bloodshot eyes as she stood in front of what remained of the mirror in the cathedral's bathroom. Hours and hours of crying over the loss of her mentor, Princess Celestia, had left her physically and mentally weak. Her companions, the master thief Archangel and the Griffin twins Max and Jean had been sent by Twilight on a mission to gather supplies and any information that might be useful. The main reason she wanted them gone was because Twilight didn't want them to see her in what she considered a vulnerable state. Looking back into the mirror, Twilight couldn't help but remember Celestia's face, and how her disfigured eye and scar was a part of her because of the loyalty she felt toward the princess. Twilight had fought in the war not just for her friends or for the safety of Equestria; she fought because she didn't want to let down Celestia. The Doctor had witnessed wars, and fought in many, and he knew that you never get over the scars of what you do. But here were these young girls, about to fight a war with one of the most warlike and barbaric races on the planet, and for some reason, he felt certain that these were the perfect ponies for the job. The sounds of fierce battle and the cries of the fallen filled Twilight's ears as she galloped through the park where her small team of five was defending a group of scared citizens from a horde of city guards. Their armour flashed in the ever diminishing sunlight, while Twilight's white hood and cloak gave her the appearance of some sort of spectre, an ethereal spirit of rage and vengeance. The thrust of spears and the slash of swords did nothing to slow her down, her mind was set on one target; Councillor Ignatius of the griffin council.
She could just make out the flapping of the green robes through the constantly moving wall of feathers and flesh. Her breathing was deep but calm, the pain from the wound in her stomach being forced back by nothing but her own force of will.
Sliding between the legs of a guard, Twilight slashed at his ankles with her hidden blade, causing him to scream in agony and fall to the ground, his back legs now all but useless. She leapt to her hooves, collid

Rainbow Dark tore through the griffin army as they attacked her in force, with every move she made ending in the death of one of Gilda's kinsmen. She was one minded, focussing on getting herself to the griffin camp and ending the war once and for all. Some griffins retreated from her, as her irises glowed blood red and the smirk on her face grew. Rainbow Dark gripped one of the griffins by the throat and squeezed, laughing as she watched the light drain from his eyes. She looked around, and saw that she was alone in the sky, the clouds around her were splattered with blood and the ground below her was littered with corpses. She closed her wings and nosedived toward the ground, picking up speed as she positioned herself above the Minotaur forces that were charging at the pony camp. The resulting impact sent a wave of rainbow coloured energy rippling outward and tearing through the exposed flesh of the Minotaur. She let out a loud war cry that echoed across the now silent battlefield. Bl

Max sat down and took long, deep breaths, eventually regaining full control over his body. Twilight told him of her encounter with Archangel and the subsequent drugging of Max. He stretched his wings, and Twilight got a good look at her new companion. Applejack's eyes were watering as the air bit at her skin, becoming almost razor sharp as she ran faster than the speed of sound. Her vision was hazed, the landscape of Equestria and all of its varied colours melding into a beautiful cacophony of light and colour. Applejack knew that it was only a mixture of luck and reflexes that was keeping her from colliding with anything along the road and becoming just an orange stain on the ground. As she approached Maneflow Springs, she took as deep a breath as she could and shot through the small town, maneuvering herself so that she had more space by running along the docks. Well, I did what Tia said, 'Start a journal of your thoughts and feelings now that you are back.' I suppose she is right, it might help me to collect myself, focus on things, not to mention the fact that it will be good to have a record of my progress. I mean, I do have over a thousand years of Equestrian history to catch up on.
I just wish the spell that Tia gave me wouldn't change what I'm saying into so called 'Modern Equestrian.' Lazy and stupid if you ask me.
Well I suppose I should start by saying hello, or should I? I'm the only one that's meant to read this aren't I? I shouldn't have to say that my name is Luna and I am Princess of Equestria, what point does that serve other than to stroke my ego and create vanity within my heart. But it is strange to be sitting here in the dark with nothing but the glow of the magic and a single candle to help me see what I'm doing.
I like the dark, it is my element after all, but there is something about it now that feels… off. I

She strapped her sword to her back, adjusting it until she was able to fly at the same time. The last thing she put on was her helmet, which promptly slipped over her eyes, as Rarity hadn't finished making Rainbow her armour yet, meaning that Rainbow was stuck with a spare set that didn't fit her properly.
