"Come with me?" he asked, desperation showing in his clear blue eyes. Pocahontas turned to look at her father.
"You must choose your own path," Powhatan told his daughter with a warm and steady gaze. Pocahontas looked at her people, then at the settlers. Finally, her eyes came back to John Smith.
"I'm needed here," she said, tears forming in her eyes.
"Then," John said, his voice wavering, "I'll stay with you."
"No! You have to go back!" Pocahontas cried.
"But I can't leave you," John said, feeling pain worse than any gunshot.
"You might not have to," Lon said, coming forward. "I know a little about bullet wounds, as do some of the men. I'm sure with our knowledge, and their healer," he nodded to Kekata, "we could probably fix you up." Pocahontas looked around hopefully. Some settlers were nodding their heads and Kekata was deep in thought, already thinking of remedies. "What do you say?"

Every time I see her, I cringe. Look at her - the dark shadows beneath her eyes, the slumped shoulders, the half-empty gaze that stares back at me. She's disgusting. She's a monster.
But is she real? Am I real?
I don't know.
Maybe she's the real one and the reason she looks the way she does is because she always sees me and is terrified that something horrible will happen. Maybe I'm the real one and I'm terrified that she's going to let that something occur.
Or maybe we're just the same person and I'm letting my thoughts become too unraveled. There's no such thing as another side to a mirror. It's just a piece of glass that reflects that which is in front of its surface. But then again, what do I know? Not much, if I'm being completely honest.
There are times where I'll pass my reflection and stop, stare at her, and the urge to do nothing more but take her hand and say I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything I've said t

"Yes Spyro, I was the one that brought in the purple egg to the guardians. I have waited a long time to finally meet you." Icis replied with tears forming in her eyes.
Spyro quickly ran into her arms and hugged her tightly. Flame and Gravel stood there eyes wide and mouths open. They couldn't believe that they had attacked Icis' son. They turned to try to sneak away.
"Don't think that I'm gonna let you two off easily." Icis said to them scaring them both.

"Yeah, we would have beat them anyway." Cynder said.
Gravel shot her an angry glare at her. She ignored it and went back to looking at Spyro and Icis.

Previous Chapter: Cole's POV: I look over at Kai and notice a hint of a blush on his lightly tanned skin. Then I could feel Zane's eyes on me, as if he could tell I stared at Kai too long. That, or I'm just paranoid, and a little overreacting to their hug. I smile again later when I see Kai has been released from Zane's hold, and allows us to speak with Zane.
I can see that Zane has made a great recovery, but I still feel the need to ask if he's alright. Though my paranoia might be true, I can't just not care about my teammate whom is like a brother to us.
I'll go with this now, but later, I will have to find out if Zane is going for Kai. I can't get that off my mind now. I must confirm my assumptions to be True, or False.
It's been about two hours now since Zane woke up. Everyone was crowded in the room for the first hour, so I took tha

I used to smile and laugh.
A butterfly of the social life.
My world has darkened and I have submerged myself within it's shadows.
There's no light here.
The ticking has made me numb.
I can no longer feel.
I'm no longer human.
Was I ever?
Emotions are nothing to me now.
Just ink on a fading page.
There's nothing left to give.
Nowhere to hide my pain.
This creature I've become has eaten at everything I love.
Burnt walls and crooked window panes.
I'm nothing now.

"The chronicler chose me to chronicle the new age, so he brought me out of the after life. I must say that it is an honor to be doing this." Ignitus replied.
"So all you get to do is watch what's going on in the world and writ it in these books?" Cynder asked.
"Yes, but I get to keep an eye on you two and the guardians. Speaking of which they are very worried about you two. They still don't know if you made it out alive or not." Ignitus told them.
"And we would like to keep it that way, for now at least." Spyro said.

They both met up with Flame and started flying to the forest.

"Well, it's at the temple and it's not that hard really. The first class we have is flight combat, then we have dragon history then we finish with element training." Flame answered.
"The only part of this school that we need to work on is history. We already know our elements and combat skills." Cynder said a little upset.
"Then you two should handle this easily. Here we are at the temple." Flame announced.
They arrived at the very same temple that Spyro and Cynder lived until Cynder ran away. But it was different than before. Of course everything was rebuilt from the last attack and all the fungus was cleared out. They walked into the training room w

I walked into the kitchen to see animals everywhere. I asked one of them to bring me some strawberries. He came back with like 30 in a large bowl. I went and sat on the couch. Marshall Lee sat next to me. I sucked the red out of the strawberries and he ate them colorless.
The strawberries were half way done when we set the bowl on the floor and relaxed. I rested my head on his chest and smiled. Marshall Lee placed his arm on my shoulder. I slowly started to fall asleep. I tried my best to stay awake, but I was just so tired. I slowly started going . And going .. and gone.
When I woke up I saw that Marshall Lee was awake and was watching a movie on a small video game person. I opened my eyes and smiled.
"You're up," he said smiling.

"About 8 p.m.," said Marshall Lee. I got up and went into the bathroom. I grabbed a brush and started brushing my hair. I started singing my "Daddy" song while

ParaNorman - Childhood Blues"Norman, honey, it's time for dinner!" announced Mrs. Babcock as she gently rapped on her 6 year-old son's bedroom door, careful not to crinkle his newly beloved zombie movie posters taped to the portal. She paused and heard nothing no affirming shout that signaled he had heard her. She would have voluntarily stuck around longer lingering by his door waiting for him to answer her, but dinner was set at the table and if she didn't return to it quickly, she knew Perry surely would have sneakily picked at all the prepared entrees.ParaNorman - Childhood Blues2 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
"Norman?" she stated again, with more of a questioning tone to it. Again, no response was heard. The blonde-haired woman then twisted the doorknob and pushed herself in. She was met with the boy's typical bedroom display: messed up bed, toys/action-figures splayed on the floor, as well as his 1st grade backpack simply tossed onto the carpet with notebook paper falling out of it. But her son was nowhere to be seen.

"Yes or No"
That day, Cloud took the day off so he could catch up and spend some quality time with Tifa and the children. He also wanted to help around the bar.
While he was in there, he sat on one of the barstools to keep an eye on Tifa, just in case some of the drunks wanted to try their luck with her. Fortunately, the day turned out pretty well and he didn't have to throw anyone out of the bar.
A few hours later, Tifa closed the bar and then proceeded to clean up the mess. Since Cloud wasn't doing anything in particular, he offered to clean up the galley, while she took care of the dishes. Tifa couldn't believe how handy it was to ha

Cloud went upstairs to his room to prepare for sleep.
He lay down on his bed and try to focus on something else to make his thoughts go away. But no matter what he did, he was still thinking about the events of that night.
He remembered the sound of Tifas' voice when she was talking to him. The way she stared at him with those beautiful ruby eyes of her. His name sounded so perfect coming from her lips and the way she smiled at him was enough to make his heart shudder.
He wanted to tell her so many things that night. He wanted to hold her and let her know that he was there for her. He wanted to caress her and taste those lips again. He wanted to make her his and show his love for her. But most of all, he wanted to apologize to her for all the pain he put her through, when he left.
He knew he had disappointed her many times and after what she said in their last conversation, he knew he had to clear things up and let her know his true intentions. He felt the need to ex

After the celebration, Barret and the rest of the gang left the bar and went back to their lives.
The children had fallen asleep on one of the couches and Tifa took them upstairs along with Cloud to put them in their beds. Once they were in their rightful beds, Tifa stayed with them for a while watching to their sleep, while Cloud went downstairs to help her clean the bar.
A few minutes later, she came downstairs and saw him putting the bar stools on the counter like she always does. A smile crossed her lips when she saw him so focused on what he was doing that he didn't even noticed her presence.
Once he was done lifting all the barstools, he gazed in her direction a little surprised. She narrowed her eyes tenderly and smiled at him. He also gave her a slight smirk and nodded. The silence surrounded them for a moment until Tifa broke the ice.
"You should go try to get some sleep as well. It's been a rough day for you."
"You sure you don't want any help?"

Cloud was having a nightmare in the middle of the night, when suddenly, Tifa went to his room to see what was wrong with him.
Cloud was fighting in his sleep and Tifa does her best to wake him, but as much as she tried she couldn't. The dream was too deep and the more he struggled, the more intense the nightmare became. The dream was tormenting him and he growled in anguish as his breathing became increasingly agitated.
It is said that when a dream is too intense, it's better to let the person who is dreaming to wake up slowly, otherwise the dreamer will not be able to distinguish reality and could cause a severe trauma.
Tifa felt helpless for not being able to help and stayed with him until he could calm down. Cloud on the other hand, was still fighting in his sleep and Tifa tried to reassure him stroking his face with her hands.
