Kate had always wanted to be a mother. Sure she was a manager at her job but could have been both. She wanted to meet that perfect man her mother always told her was out there, and together they would have that child. They would see their child grow, learn to ride a bike. Make friends, graduate from school and find love and be that child that would have been proud to call her mother. To become a grandmother many times over and finally to pass away peacefully surround by those that loved her. But she was only 22 when she was murdered, alone with the monster who tortured her for hours before snuffing out her spark.
Kate lay there in the small clearing, her dead flesh rapidly cooling as snow began to fall. The trees whipped and tore in an unnatural frenzy, her shattered spark crying for loss, for vengeance and most of all for loneliness. The sun dimmed though there were no clouds in the sky.
