Rising Storm The wind whipped through Dakota's hair until she could barely see. It did not matter to her, the image before her was already burned into her mind. The leaves scurried across the freshly turned dirt like nails on a chalkboard.
As thunder cracked the sky, Dakota looked up at the quickly incoming storm. Kneeling down, Dakota reached out and touched the top of the dirt pile. With her free hand, she reached in her boot and pulled out the knife she always kept there.
It stuck slightly in the sheath until she gave it a firm tug. The blade gleamed red from the stray beam of light in the sky.
Moving her hand, she thrust the blade into the mound of dirt where her hands had been only seconds ago. Dakota held onto the hilt a minute longer before standing up.
Standing there, she let the memories flash before her eyes.
The swing set.

But have you ever wondered why Ash never truly changes? Sure, his clothes change, but he's always the same, goofy, immature boy that made the show so funny to watch in the beginning. Pikachu joins him in is immobile state both never to see the light of an age line or age spot..:.A Pokemon Theory...:.5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Ash started off his journey a carefree boy who, despite all his TV-watching, didn't really know much about Pokémon other than you catch them in Pokéballs, sometimes while fishing. He got a rather ill trained Pokémon named Pikachu, and soon after in the same episode, he earned its respect and they became fast-friends. And though Ash and Pikachu have taken many deathblows that would kill a normal person (disregarding the fact that this show isn't real), it seems they both are perfectly

I watched among the pink sunset.
The sun dipping below the rosen skys, giving the clouds that filled that rosen sky their color.
I imagined Her birds, flying into that bask of light.
Hell, if I wasn't on duty, or in the UNSC's military power... I definately enjoy Her bask of glory.
But not just me who's gonna be with me... I want all of Noble Team to see this magnificent beauty.
Also, minus this hellish war. The Covenant, the destruction, and everything that that religious group of aliens they brought upon.
But there's nothing that could be done. I wish that I just could reverse time before the Covanent attacked Reach, but I cannot change physics of space, and time.
Everything has been done.
The attacks of both Inner and Outer Colonies, the deaths of millions that the Covenant has committed, and...
The deaths of my Spartan brothers and sisters.
Especially the deaths of Noble Team.
My heart still aches because of this...
We gave our best shot, but it was ju

"That's not a real answer, Ryan."

"That's what you say now," Rylie said. She examined the gash near Ryan's right elbow. "If this swells up, tell me immediately. That could mean there's an internal infection."
Ryan grunted. Rylie held his hand up to wrap a fresh bandage on top and pressed her hands against his arm to smoothen the creases. Ryan turned to look at her, but she appeared to not notice. The small blonde put back her equipments back with an air of a well-practiced healer.
She closed her case shut and spoke to Ryan, "Well, you seem fine. Just tell me if you notice any changes."
"You'll be sure to see them first." He replied teasingly. Rylie gave a brief smile before she headed towards the living room.
"Hey." Ryan voiced out. Rylie ignored him and walked on. When she reached the front door of his apartment, Ryan spoke again, "Are you leaving?"

Zack opened his eyelids lazily. He felt satiated after a good dream, though he was still slightly drowsy. Yawning, he turned his head to the right to see if his girlfriend had awakened, but she was facing away from him. Zack silently traced her recently cut silk-black hair that exposed her long, tanned neck. His heart swelled up by the simple sight of her lying next to him. Zack shifted over to get closer and kissed the back of her neck. There was no response; she stayed still like a log.
He grinned. Ava was a heavier sleeper than anyone he knew and that included Nicky, surprisingly. But he always enjoyed teasing her to wake up, especially on lazy weekends like this one. Slowly, Zack let down the thin strap on her left shoulder, and placed small tender kisses at the area. Her face twitched a little, so Zack continued his ministrations. He let his left hand traced underneath her short nightgown and started tickling her waist.
"Mmm, Zack..." Ava growled, slightly annoyed. The latter only

Flashbacks of two weeks ago of gorging herself on food and her giant swollen midsection kept replaying in her mind. She didn't have any desire to be fat. At least she didn't think so. Although she knew for some reason having a big belly fueled some thrilling desire deep within her. The thought of having such a heavy bloated belly gave her comfort. It was an hour before he finally finished. The paper was covered - frantic scribbling filled every inch: dreams, confessions, hopes - all written out at last.
With an air of finality, he laid down the pencil. He stared at the paper, tears blurring the words. Then without a sound, he picked up the paper and began to fold, just like he'd been taught, years and years ago.

Rylie nodded at the half-bald lecturer and took down notes on her flat screen. The speaker said a few more words about the new medical tool before ending his speech. An applause followed suit, but Rylie concentrated on getting as much as what she understood into her notes. She was on a two-day seminar for new technologies in health and medicine, and the schedule was packed. Since her arrival late last night, she had attended countless seminars all day long. It was 9p.m., and the last lecture had just ended. Despite of that, Rylie was still putting as much input as she can into her device.
