(This takes place before you meet Sousuke officially and become his roommate. This is also a song fic, a song called Heart on the Floor by The Summer Set!)
I was at an all time low, the night you walked in
Sousuke sat at a table in a bar in Tokyo, surrounded by his old friends, Rin, Rei, Nagisa, Makoto, and Haru. All of them were immersed in a conversation about their adolescent days together, Sousuke being left out of the conversation completely, due to the fact that he was not close to any of the former Iwatobi swimmers. Sousuke sighed and downed another shot, tired eyes spinning in his head.
The door to the bar opened loudly, causing some heads to turn.
A young girl, probably a university student as well. She had familiar ocean blue eyes and (hair length) hair, a shiny jet black. Ignoring the fact that you looked excruciatingly similar to Haru, he shrugged it off, assuming it was the intoxication taking over him.
You were just close enough to smell the whiske

At that moment you heard the door open and a voice call your name. "Mom?"
Yours eyes widened, wondering if your mom would be concerned that a boy she hadn't even met was laying on your bed.
"Stay here Nagisa-chan" you said rushing downstairs to find your mom with groceries.
"Hey sweetie, sorry I was late but-that's a big mess in the living room dear" Your mom said peering through the entryway to the living room where papers were scattered, materials were tossed, notes were misplaced and two book bags were placed.
"Sweetie, do you have a friend over?"
"Well mom, uh-"
"Is it a boy" she said wiggling her eyebrows, your mom was okay with your friends coming over even if she wasn't there, but that was rare. Overall she was a pretty cool mom, she didn't really mind if there was a boy in your room that wasn't related to you because she raised you to be responsible.
"Hello (l/n)-san " you heard the all too familiar voice came from behind you.
"And who is this, dear?" She said smiling at

You are quietly looking outside, staring upwards at the stars. Not gazing... You weren't really seeing those stars, they were simply there, hanging in the sky. Those stupid stars with no hope, no truth within them, and you are no longer foolishly wishing on stars. You scoffed at the thought, those lights in the end were only balls of gas that are so far away, most of them are gone before the words ever left our lips and when we laid eyes on their lights.
Though in your self pity, you had been shocked by the turn of events, it hadn't surprised you. That much at least. Things don't turn out right for you. They just don't. You have come to accept it, long before this chain of events. So when this had happened, -- for the first time in your life-- you had found friends. You had fallen in love.
An inkling of yourself whispers that the happiness was temporary, that all these things will eventually become a distant remembering and pain is fleeting. You had ignored it despite t

Step 1: An idea
Think a general idea for your superhero/villain: it could be an alter ego, power, just anywhere you can start from, and build the hero around this core idea.
Step 2: Origins
How did your person become a hero/villain/sidekick? was she/he born with special powers? Did he/she get them in later life? Or is he/she simply a regular person who decided to do some good/evil?
Whether there are super powers or no, how did this person make the decision to be good or evil? What caused him/her to change?
Step 3: Alter ego
You can ignore this step if you want; not all superheroes/villains have an alter ego.
Your alter ego depends a great deal on how you became a superhero/villain: Superman was born irregular, so he had to make a new identity, but Pete Parker and Bru

Heavy breathing obscured any words that attempted to escape your throat as heavy waves of heat from the physical exertion rendered you almost immobile.
Your partner in crime was currently hovering over your helpless figure, fingers wiggling tauntingly before diving in for the kill, causing a surprised yelp to escape your mouth.
"Cr-Cro-" you couldn't even manage to speak his name properly, stuttering over the syllables much like he did when he became flustered and his accent became thick. Drawing in a shuttering breath through clenched teeth, you attempted one last hurrah and wrapped your legs around his narrow hips, using the shock your movements had clearly caused him to your advantage and twisted your body until you both had flipped on your sides, giving you the perfect opportunity to domineer over him. You pushed up on your hands and knees and pinned him underneath you, trapping him in a cage of limbs while staring him down with a devious smirk.

“Good morning love!” I yawned as I woke up next to you. I’d been sleeping with you for the past few nights, not wanting to be away for too long. You still hadn’t woken up, and it worried me. I placed a gentle kiss on your perfect forehead.
It had only been a few days, but I longed to have those (E/C) eyes look at me once more. I missed your voice, your smile. You were so beautiful when you smiled, even when it wasn’t a real one. Even when I forced you too.
I had tried being close to you, touching you and having my way with you, but it just wasn’t the same. It was no fun when I couldn’t hear you begging for mercy, screaming my name out as I brought you closer and closer to your release. How I ached to feel you squirm beneath me again.
I sighed, sitting up in the bed. I looked over at your sleeping form, the way your chest rose and fell ever so slightly with each breath you took. You nightgown clung to your sweaty skin, making

Chapter One: Reminiscing
The cabin could barely be called a cabin. It was more of a hut: a building in the loosest sense of the word. It had four walls and a roof, a door, a window, and a chimney that looked as though it were ready to fall over. Truthfully, it appeared that a strong gust of wind could knock down the shack, with signs surrounding which read, “Condemned” and “No Trespassing.”
The small structure was concealed behind several large trees, and was incredibly easy to miss, nestled within the forest that rarely anyone ventured into.
It was always snowing around this cabin, regardless of the season.
Inside was exceedingly less interesting than outside, if at all possible. There was only one room, which contained a mattress and pillow in the corner, a fireplace that appeared to have not been used in decades, and a few shelves on one of the walls.
The shelves proved to be at least somewhat intriguing, containing items such as a matryoshka do

My Really Long Webcomic GuideMy Really Long Webcomic Guide5 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
Jenny's Really Long Webcomic Guide
I have been getting quite a few emails and questions about starting up your own webcomic, so I decided to compile all the articles I'd written before into this one comprehensive guide.
This massive wall of text has several sections:
- How to start
- Getting the story started
- Readership & research
- The Internets!
These are my own guidelines, based on my own experiences, and these are my solutions to the problems and issues I have encountered along the way. This is not necessarily the one true way. There are probably many different solutions to any problem. And a bajillion books on this very subject too. But regardless of what I have to say, do what works for you!
So take your bathroom breaks now, because you'll be here for a bit! Sit tight and enjoy my blathering!
Part One: "How do you start a webcomic?" A Short Question... with a big, long, friggin' answer.

The sound of rain hitting the windows was the only noise heard as it echoed around the cold and empty dining hall. Eventually, it grew noisier as the recruits slowly started filing in, eager to fill their stomach with the dry, tasteless slop otherwise known as food.
The Corporal ever so slightly shifted in his chair as his gaze absentmindedly drifted towards the glass window. He saw something from the corner of his eyes, catching his attention. Giving a small ‘tch’ he lifted himself from his seat and stalked towards the door.
It took him a while to focus on just what was going on outside. Two figures were mucking about in the rain, laughing and attempting to push each other into puddles. Giving another disgusted ‘tch’; Levi impatiently waited underneath the protection of the roof and started tapping his foot on the floor, waiting until the recruits’

Sirens rang in your ears as a police car chased a robber who needed money for his newborn baby. You watched someone dump clothes out a window as they yelled at the person who broke their heart. In an alley you walked by, someone was searching through a dumpster for anything that would allow them another day. This was the city. It was your home and it was to many others as well, it wasn’t always a nice home, but it was familiar. The robber knew what place had enough money. The broken heart knew where to send the destroyer. The malnourished knew which dumpster held the most. Familiar.
You felt a single drop of water roll down your cheek. Your depression had not been very forgiving lately and it had started to eat away at you. Cuts would appe

It was dark. So very dark, and fear coursed through your veins. You ran until you could run no more, and collapsed into a ball against the corner, breathing heavily. Tears streamed down your face mixing with your blood. You flinched at every little sound. Footsteps, the sound of wooden clubs scraping against the ground, then a loud discordant honk, and finally, the sound you dreaded most. Laughter. An evil, malicious, broken, insane laughter. You opened your eyes and looked up, knowing and scared of what you saw. Gamzee Makara stared down at you, his long, sharp teeth stretched into a maniacal smile. “looks like I found you sis. LOOKS TO BE LIKE I MOTHERFUCKING EXCAVATED YOU WITH MY MOTHERFUCKING VISUAL ORBS.” You couldn’t do anything but sit there terrified. Slowly, he brought the club over his head and let it fall harshly on you.
You woke in cold sweat, your whole body shaking and your eyes stung from crying in you sleep. You looked aroun

A child's voice echoed through the desolate area of The Lost Forest.
"Yeah! You don’t even have a faerie like all of us!”
Another added, his voice loud and mean.
“You’re a misfit!”
”The only reason why The Great Deku Tree likes you the best is because you saved that squirrel once!”
”Anyone could’ve saved that darned squirrel! All it needed was some water.”
The mockery seemed to be going on indefinitely.
”I bet that squirrel didn’t even need saving. It was right next to the river- I saw it!”
”It’s just like him to ‘save’ something that didn’t need to be saved- what a fool!”
Mocking laughter reverberated throughout the forest, but to someone who wasn’t listening carefully; it’d just sound like the whistling of the wind.
If you hadn’t been strolling in the Lost Woods that day, you wouldn’t

Makoto x Reader - Moving AlongMakoto x Reader - Moving Along2 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Today was the day.
As much as you had dreaded it all year long, you knew it would come... sooner or later.
And now, it was time.
You didn’t bother to examine yourself in the mirror as you left the house, slamming the door behind you. Unlike most of your friends, you wore your feelings on your sleeve. However, you knew you needed to stay strong for Makoto. You didn’t want to make him upset, too.
The heels of your shoes drug on the sidewalk, making loud, scraping noises. You didn’t want to get to Makoto’s as quick as possible, you needed time to think about what you would say - and how exactly you were supposed to hold in your emotions.
As your mind wandered, you thought about all the great times you had with Makoto Tachibana...
He had been your first real boyfriend. The two of you had been going steady for almost a year.
He had been your first kiss; the two of you had bumped foreheads getting out of the pool and leaned in to seal the deal. As silly as it was, you
