The Moon is my LifeThe Moon calls to me, I do not ignore. The Moon is my Life3 years ago in Songs & Lyrics More Like This
For the Moon is my soul, the night is my life.
I stay up late in the night, watching as the clouds pass by.
When the Moon is there, I am at peace.
When she is gone, I am down.
Yet I know she will be back, as she is every time.
For I have embraced her as she has me.
And fear has no place in my life.
The Moon tells me secrets that others ignore.
She is my teacher, my goddess.
I give her my soul, she gives me life.
This is bliss, this is joy. I could never give up.
I have found my place, amongst the night sky.
The Moon is my Goddess, my light and my life.
She gives me my strength, and she gives me hope.
Joy of Joy is what I feel when she is there.
Forsaking her is forsaking my soul.
It cannot be done, for in doing so I kill myself.
She's given me wings, to fly through the night.
And I use them to find my way through life.
The Moon is my Goddess, my light and my life.
Night Surfer Chapter 1Night Surfer Chapter 13 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Chapter 1, The Storm:
The wind was blowing hard as Night Surfer pushed himself to continue flying through the thick clouds that were threatening the lands everywhere yet Night could do nothing about it as he was only one pegasus and he would need many to clear the clouds and no-pony was willing to help him; So he had given up and flew off towards Cloudsdale where it was safely suspended above the storm and freezing rain, he finally broke through the thick clouds and made his way through to Cloudsdale and landed...well crash landed as he was pretty exhausted from the long flight and the fight through the clouds.
Sighing he stood up shakily and made his way to his small room and collapsed on the his soft bed made out of clouds and fell quickly asleep and remained that way until the next day when he woke from the sound of the other pegasi talking and he yawned and went out to see what all the other commotion was about.
Stretching his wings out he took to the sky and went up to where they

The sun had set, and I could see the moon rising.
Tears fell from my eyes as I lay there, you see, I had no pony, as my parents had left me without even saying goodbye or leaving a note.
Tears fell harder as I thought about being unwelcome by my very own family, and I shakily stood up and looked around.
I seemed to be in a forest, but I didn't recognise anything, because I had never been here before, as I had been born in Canterlot, but never had I seen anything more other than what I could see out the windows because I was never allowed outside and thus I never had found out.
The wind blew through my black and blue mane and tail and it brought shivers down my spine, for it was so chilly there. My blue body shivered violently as I sat there.
I knew I couldn't stand there forever, so I continued walking, but it seemed I was just going in circles and I gradually became more scared.
So I hid in the bush, shivering and crying, for I did not know what to do. I curled into a ball a

Daring Do looked out at the sea, the ship bobbing up and down underneath her hooves. The salty ocean breeze picked up, blowing her monochromatic mane into her face. With a sigh, she blew it away and returned to studying the horizon, thinking, and doing her best to ignore the bustle of the ferry. No matter what she focused on the ocean, their destination, the horrid food her thoughts always came back to one thing: her cutie mark, or lack thereof.
Ugh, why does everypony else my age have their cutie mark, but I can't even get an inkling of what mine is going to be. I mean, it's ridiculous for me to... no Daring. Remember what Dad said
"Land ho!" yelled a reddish colt as he leaped on her back.
Daring Do chuckled. "Hey there squirt."
He ran his hoof through her mane, throwing it back in her face. "Hey Dare, why don't you come look at the island? It's so much more interesting than this... water, and you haven't left this side of the s

I decided to try writing Scootaloo for the heck of it, hope you enjoy!
I have no clue where I'm going with it, I'm just writing what comes to mind but I like how its coming out ^^
Scootaloo raced along the street on her scooter enjoying the feel of the wind through her mane and tail. This was something she enjoyed doing, even though she could not fly yet she could at least thrill at going fast. She longed for the day when she would be able to join Rainbow Dash in the sky and learn some of her awesome tricks.
She sighed as she thought about it. Rainbow Dash had always been like a sister to her, but recently her idol was too busy to take any time for her. She was practicing for the huge air show that was going to commence in the next few weeks.
Scootaloo understood this of course. Wouldn't she herself be practicing for something as awesome and cool as that? Sighing, the little pegasus shook her head. It just felt like a part of her was ripped away when she was

Daring-Do and the Deserted Past
We all need things, things like air and water; but for one pony, that wasn't enough. She needed more, something a little more...interesting. One pony had something in her that made her yearn for more then what daily life could provide.
The flapping of wings flew through the air, drowned out by the sound of a loud engine. A yellow pony lay sleeping on a train seat, completely unaware of the pegasi outside of her window. Her grey striped mane lay curled around her side.
A few of the other passengers talked amongst each other, all waiting to arrive safely in Trottingham. Three pegasi wearing black masks flew up next to the train and flew next the windows.
The yellow pony blinked her eyes open, she felt like she had been sleeping for hours. In reality it was more like thirty minutes. She stretched her legs and tipped her hat out of her face. She shook the sleep from her head and looked down at her pack.
She had just been to an e
Daring Do and the Pyre of PerilDaring Do felt the tropical sun beat down upon her wings as she soared over the trackless expanse of jungle, following the barely visible path of a winding river that glinted and glimmered in glimpses through the dense canopy of trees.Daring Do and the Pyre of Peril3 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
In her wake, a balloon from the Globe-Gallopers Society coasted along at full sail, barely managing to keep up with its heroic guide and guardian. An old friend and frequent patron, one Dr. McMonocle, gripped the craft's wheel in his hooves and a finely ground lens in his eye socket. The grizzled, grey whiskered earth pony scanned the horizon with a gimlet eye, trusting the intrepid pegasus mare to lead him to his current quarry: the world famous ethnologist, equinopologist, and explorer Professor Wander, who'd been missing for well over a week.
He drew himself up expectantly as Daring banked and traced a wide soaring arc, like a wheeling falcon, and circled back toward his conveyance. She came alongside the gondola, sheltering from the boiling sun under
The REAL meTo be something I am not, is to betray the person that I am.The REAL me3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I cannot do such a thing, for in doing so I kill the real me.
Why can't you let me be, its all I really ask.
I have a dream, and I aim to reach for the stars.
And hope that someday, that you will see.
That through it all, I've kept sight of myself.
I aim to dream big, and bring peace to the world
I will never lose sight of who I am, not ever again.
Here With YouI look at you, I give a smileHere With You3 years ago in Songs & Lyrics More Like This
You make my heart soar, but words I cannot find
Just hold me close, I don't need words
All I need is you, and you alone
Here with you, I know its enough
Lie with me, under the sky so blue
We'll watch the clouds go by, without a care in the world
Together we are, forever as one
The pains of this life, are nothing now
When we are together, nothing else matters
A kiss I seek, one or two
A hug as well, its up to you
Show me you care, and I won't let go
For when your here, nothing else matters
Heres my heart, keep it safe
Here with you, I know its enough
Don't ever let me go.
BanishmentA Warrior has no fearBanishment3 years ago in Songs & Lyrics More Like This
Tis what I've been taught
Yet here I stand, afraid and alone
Banished from the clan, for a simple mistake
Now I'm lost, without home and friends
I look to the Stars
But I hear only silence
Starclan has forsaken me, what can I do?
I'm just an apprentice, why so harsh?
I tried my best, can't you see?
Don't forsake me, I'm scared for my life
In anguish I rest, right under a tree
Hoping to sleep, but it is for naught
I'm sad and afraid, and hurt by my Clan
There's no where to turn, now only death
Here I stand, afraid and alone.

My heart pounds as I hear them howl.
It is not of fear but of wonder and joy.
You see my heart joins in their cries.
I often imagine that I am running with them.
With my past behind me, and new life ahead.
I often dream of running with the wolves
I can feel the rush of the wind through my fur
And the excitement of the hunt as it fills my soul
I can't explain it, but this is my longing and my life
My heart cries as I hear them howl.
Daring Do and The Tunnels of Terror - Part 2A boom of thunder echoed in the fanged mouth of the leonine cave, and a cloud of smoke cleared to reveal Daring Do and Red Glare standing with blank looks of shock on their faces, which changed to expressions of elated surprise when they looked themselves over.Daring Do and The Tunnels of Terror - Part 22 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
The magic ropes that had bound their wings were gone, and they'd both been outfitted in their accustomed adventuring gear, Daring in her khaki shirt and trusty old pith helmet, and Red in his panel front canvas flight jacket and the bronze Royal Air Cavalry helm he'd inherited from his grandfather. The two halves of the amulet hung from their necks from a length of gold chain.
They gave a start, twitching their ears as Kaboobie's disembodied voice murmured in them. "Join the halves together, then speak my name and thy wish, if you should have need of me. Best of luck! Ho ho ho ho."
After blinking their lingering bemusement away, Daring arched her back and stretched her wings with a luxurious sigh. "Mmm. You wouldn't believe how
Daring Do and The Tunnels of Terror - Part 1Daring Do trudged across the searing sand dunes with a sullen, slouching pace. Her mane hung in straggling, sweat soaked tangles over her scowling, dirt smudged face, and the broiling desert sun glittered across the red sequins of an evening gown that was no longer quite so form fitting and daringly cut (appropriate to its wearer) so much as tattered and torn. Her wings were pinned to her sides by a length of rope that gleamed faintly with sinister magic.Daring Do and The Tunnels of Terror - Part 12 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
At her side, a chestnut pegasus stallion with a shock of coppery mane and dark freckles dotting his cheeks was in a similar predicament, his disheveled tuxedo jacket and formerly white shirt and unbound bow tie stained with dirt and perspiration beneath his own tightly bound wings. His cutie mark depicted a rocket with a vermilion trail of flame, that seemed to sizzle in the heat waves that rose and rippled all around them.
His name was Red Glare, and the look that he cast Daring was in keeping with his moniker. "I should have know
