Mark of the Sun
The sleepy little alicorn princess did the best she could to keep her eyes open. In her vision was an orange sky with dark blue sky surrounding it. The rest of the sky was still darkened. The stars were behind them for the night was just about finished and morning was on its way. The ocean waves were crashing down every few seconds just yards away from her as the wind flowed through her bright pink mane.
To her right was a tall, grey, bearded alicorn stallion with his face to the east waiting patiently by her side. His flank bore the symbol of balance, his wings large and majestic although tucked at his sides, his black mane cut straight and short like that of a royal guard's helmet. His name was Accord. He showed no signs of weariness for he, the master of order and harmony, had been well prepared for this. But it was not his moment to prove himself. The dau

"Wow, today sure was great, wasn't it Twilight!" said Spike as he walked up the stairs with Twilight. They were both getting ready to go to bed after a long day of having saved Equestria once again and needed a lot of sleep.
"I mean, we saved the Crystal Empire, you passed your test, and I'm a hero now!" he continued excitedly. "Bet you weren't expecting that, eh?"
"Oh Spike…" said Twilight laughing, "…you were always a hero to me!"
"I know, but isn't it, like, just awesome that I have my own stained glass window in honor of what I've done now?!"
"It does feel pretty good to be in one of the stained glass windows in the Canterlot Palace. Of course it's traditional to always make one when somepony…or dragon, saves the day."
Spike stopped and started entering his little basket bed while Twilight continued on to her bed. She used her magic to lift the covers and began tucking herself in while talking to Spike.
"A lot has happened in the last f

It was dark and there were no sounds but mumbles in Fluttershy's mind. The darkness slowly started to fade to light and the noises turned into voices. She saw purple and pink above in her vision and started hearing her name over and over again instead of faint mumbles. Her eyelids opened and closed several times and her vision became less blurry and the voices were clearer. It was Twilight and Pinkie standing right above her with very worried faces.
"Fluttershy?" Twilight asked.
"It's us Fluttershy, your friends." Pinkie reminded her. "You do remember us, right?"
Fluttershy's vision was back again and her hearing was fine. But for a moment she forgot what she was waking up from. Was she in bed? No, it was her living room. But what was she doing lying down on her living room floor and why was it a complete mess? And why was her fur and hair all messy and full of dust a

CHAPTER 5: We Must Negotiate
The next few weeks started out rather well for Celestia and Luna in the educational center. They were kept busy and given all sorts of assignments and studies based on history and diplomacy. Their instructors were strict but fair and had much background knowledge on each subject. Most of them were alicorns who had been around for a while and thus had personally experienced some of these famous historical events, making them the best teachers the princesses could possibly ask for.
Every morning would start out with diplomacy lessons followed by history, all in addition to any other lessons they had had before like mathematics, science, and literature. Starswirl taught them magic lessons in the late afternoon as always, but felt he also needed to quiz them on diplomacy every now and then, to help out with their lessons to become monarchs one day.
“Now then, are both of you feeling up to the best of your ability in diplomacy?

CHAPTER 3: The Next Step
It was a few hours after sunset when Celestia, Luna and Accord all made it back to Everfree. The moon that Luna had brought forth that night was high in the sky and shining brightly against the dark. King Solmidas was waiting out on a balcony that faced the east watching for his daughters when he finally saw their silhouettes against the moon.
"Chernalia, they've returned!" he called to the queen who was waiting in the room before the balcony.
Queen Chernalia, the lady of the night, daintily stepped out of the room. She was a beautiful tall alicorn mare with a dark blue coat and hair that resembled the night sky with little sparkles glimmering in it as it waved slowly in the air. Unlike her daughter Luna, she had yellow eyes that contrasted well against her darkened appearance. She was wearing her silvery blue royal anklets, collar and crown like her husband and looked rather presentable as the queen. Once she had made it out on the balc

CHAPTER 1: Luna's test
The world around Princess Luna was obscured by her closed eyelids. Darkness was something that never scared her though; after all, she was the princess of the night. All she could hear in the large palace was the voice of the pony in front of her: Starswirl the Bearded. He was the wisest and most powerful unicorn mage in the kingdom and Luna's best teacher thus far. His gift of immortality allowed him to live on without dying and he had been teaching younglings for centuries by now.
Remaining perfectly calm, Luna's unicorn horn began to glow with light and was ready to cast a powerful spell. She was in the middle of a very important test of her skills in magic and was more than determined to pass it.
"Now remember Luna, you will not need your eyes for this test." said Starswirl. "The deepest forms of magic come from within. You cannot rely on vision to

CHAPTER 2: The Night Arrives
"Tia, I can't believe I'm already on my way to raise the moon tonight!" Luna shouted flying next to her sister high above the Equestrian landscape below them.
"Neither can I Luna." Celestia responded. "It seems like it was just yesterday when I raised the sun and earned my mark."
"Do you think I'll get my mark too?"
"I got my mark the first time I raised the sun and I have a feeling you will too."
"I sure hope I do "
"You will Luna, I know you will. And don't feel bad if you don't get it the first time; you can always try again. I'll come with you a second time if I have to "
"No there won't be a second time, I will raise the moon tonight!"
"That's the spirit Luna!"
"Though I'll bet I can get there before you!" Luna snickered, speeding up ahead of Celestia.
"Oh, so you wanna race do you?!" said Celestia, diving forward at greater speeds.

It all began with love.
After the dawn of time, alicorns and mortal ponies lived separate from one another. In the old age, the ponies of the earth below us started out as a very segregated race: greedy, unjust, hateful. The world as we knew it had turned evil and no longer reflected the land it was created to be. Sin was rampant everywhere and love was but a memory rarely spoken of. We alicorns, the immortal and wise race, were disgusted with what the world had become and made our domain in the heavens far above the sky. Granted, our race was not perfect either, but the land below us was shrouded in darkness and hate and we could not coexist with those beings.
The land grew colder, and snowier. The winter season one year did not stop. Spring did not come; instead, it continued to snow and freeze all around the ponies' domain. It was the windigoes, demon equine s

I know Fluttershy says it's really called Swine Flu but I think Fline Swu kinda sounds funny too, you know, it's kinda unique, it's like a variant of Swine Flu but with the letters switched so maybe that means that it's actually not as bad as Swine Flu and hopefully that means you'll be better in no "
Something extremely fast sped by Pinkie without warning causing her to turn her head.

It went by again on the other side of her.
"Did you hear something Gummy? Sounds like Rainbow Dash is in here or something. Maybe she's come to check on Tank! Oh wait, Tank isn't sick here so why would Rainbow Dash be in here?"

#79) As a woman should I be worried that the people that run our fandom are guys primarily (example: Equestria Daily)? I must say I was a bit offended when I saw sexualized ponies getting featured.
Answer: This is a fantastic question, because it's so multi-faceted and it raises genuine points about larger issues that exist in society. Despite feminism and suffrage, and policies that increasingly purport to grant women greater levels of equality, women are still marginalized in a lot of circumstances.
It's fair to say that Equestria Daily is a male-run website. You have the occasional female admin (Phoe springs to mind) but naturally, Sethisto is the dominating force of the website, and, I imagine, the one with the power to accept and veto the overall decisions that Equestria Daily makes. A simple glance over the site suggests that it's run by men, for men: you can quite frequently see images of ponies in 'sexualised' poses, and on more than one occasion they've linked t

#101) Why do so many bronies lie about their gender? So many (guys) pretend to be girls and it's weird. This one guy pretended he was a slutty girl pony so guys would sex roleplay with him and treat him nicer and flirt with him. Am I the only person who thinks this is creepy? You shouldn't lie about who you are, should you?
Answer: Of course you shouldn't lie about who you are. You should know everything about everyone. I don't befriend someone unless I know at least the following details: what their blood type is; where they grew up; if they have a history of heart failure in the family; when they started to walk; what their first word was; how many kids they plan on having (if any); and so on. The list is endless, and even then you can't trust people.
Concealing information is fair enough, but lying about information is a bit of an odd one. On the one hand you have the power to be whoever you want to be online – if you're a weedy, anxious individual who can't co

CHAPTER 10: Grumblebog
It was about a fortnight since the princesses had heard about Grumblebog and were finally ready to go off to tame him. Once again they were accompanied by their dragon friends. Percy was to report on the negotiations just like last time and there was no convincing Penny to stay behind. She was more excited to meet another dragon than ever before.
It was afternoon and they flew carefully through the air towards the South Spire Mountain. They had to lay low because the sky above them was thick with black smoke coming from Grumblebog inside the mountain cave. Even the clean air had the smell of nearby smoke and fire.
“I sure hope this smoke doesn’t become a problem…” Celestia said.
“It won’t be once we get him out of there, Tia.” Luna replied.
“Not that, I mean while we’re in the mountain talking to him.” Celestia told her sister, looking back.

Are you a spy?
The sun shined through the window, filling the little chamber with warm, playful colors. A distant bird was chirping happily, announcing the beginning of spring as the wind kindly caressed the tiny new-born leaves that were decorating the old apple trees.
The blue pegasus lazily opened her eyes, slowly looking around the room. The wooden walls reflected the orange light of the sunrise, as if they were quietly chanting to the rhythm of the clouds, slowly waking up along with the entire farm. A table with a small mirror was resting in a corner, along with a chair and a simple red chest. Rainbow looked at the white, transparent curtains that were swinging slowly, embracing the gentle breeze, as her gaze fell upon the orange pony that was lying next to her, still asleep.
She's so beautiful...
Rainbow let out a small sigh as she looked at her marefriend. It felt so good to finally be able to admit all these thoughts

"Which one is it Sugarcube?" inquired Applejack looking through the window of the hospital's nursery.
Flim, who stood surround by the five mares, opened his mouth to reply but was instead cut short.
"Oh! Oh! I love guessing games!" Pinkie Pie chirped, her blue eyes scanning the room. "It is that little filly?" A small white unicorn filly stretched and yawned in her crib, red hair peaking out from beneath the blanket pink blanket.
"No," answered Flim grinning like a fool.
"Oh, well it is that one then?" Pinkie enthused, pointing out a blue unicorn colt with a white and blue mane.
"No," Flim said again.
"Okay, I got it for sure this time!" she said and looked thoughtfully at the foals before her.
After a minute of this Rainbow snapped, "Oh Flim would you just tell us already?!"
"Well only because you asked so nicely," he replied, going into the nursery and picking up one of the sleeping bundles. He walked back toward the eagerly awaiting group, the foal nestled sa

It was a bright sunny day in the heart of Equestria. The ponies of Ponyville were out and about at their every day duties and activities. Inside Sugarcube Corner, the workers were busy creating the finest baked goods in the village. The pony named Cup Cake was walking through the shop checking on all her employees.
"These treats are looking good everypony. Keep up the good work!" she encouraged them. But nearby, some ponies were having issues.
One pony was busy making a delectable little cupcake on her worktable when she ran out of icing in her tube. She turned around to reach for a new one and then turned back only to find her cupcake gone.
"What the ? Hey, Pinkie Pie!!" she said turning to the adorable pink pony with icing and cake mix smeared all over her face.

In the late hours of the night, a mighty thunderstorm raged outside the Carousel Boutique. Rarity, the store's sole proprietor, lied awake in her bed gazing at a picture of herself with a specific purple earth pony stallion with a green mane. Casually, she looked at the heart shaped frame next to it on her nightstand. A photograph of a small young green and purple dragon was held within it. 'Oh Spike, why do you always seem to be out of town when I need you the most.' She thought to herself.
The blue eyed unicorn mare quickly sat up in her bed when she heard the door to her bedroom slowly creek open. A white unicorn filly with green eyes and a curly purple and pink mane and tail, poked her head into the room.

"Are you feeling better, Twilight Sparkle?" the Princess of the night asked.
"A little bit, Princess, thank you," Twilight allowed, taking a long sip from her glass of water before softly setting it back on the table.
At a glance, it appeared little had changed in the appearance of the group in the twenty minutes since Princess Luna had finished relating Twilight's mishap from the night before. However, closer inspection would reveal an empty plate that once held a sandwich in front of Big Macintosh and bowls of salad ranging from partially eaten to just a few leaves remaining at Fluttershy, Rarity, and Luna's places. As for the others, they had opted for refills for their glasses of water, except for Pinkie, whose face remained submerged in her bowl. Twilight was convinced that the pink pony was somehow breathing through her ears.
"So who wants to go next and tell us their side of what happened last night?" Twilight asked.

Twilight focused a picture of the, what had they called it? Super Speedy Cider Squeezy, in her mind and teleported. She found herself on the side of the road, next to a small cafe, several miles outside of Ponyville. Her eyes immediately picked out the bright red and white mane of one of the brothers.

"Ah'm sorry, wha--?"
Applejack turned towards the blue pegasus. This was becoming slightly annoying.
"I uh... I said that you did a fine job.... today, I mean," replied Rainbow Dash. She quickly pointed at the nearest apple tree. "The apples, all gone. Ha! I never knew how you could get them all down... you know, with a single kick."
Applejack tilted her head to the right. This was surpassing annoying, sliding towards worrying.
"Are you sure you're okay, Rainbow? Y'all seem a bit…" She stopped mid-sentence, not really knowing how to continue.
"Okay? Pff, of course I'm okay! I was just... you know..." she said, ending her phrase with a wide, awkward smile. The pegasus shifted a bit, trying to arrange the bag she was carrying so it wouldn't fall off her back.
Applejack frowned a bit, but decided to ignore this altogether. She had plenty of chores to do today and she had no time for Rainbow's silly pranks or less-than-inspired jokes.
Fluttering Hearts Chapter 1 Fall is a special time of the year in Ponyville; the season of change as some ponies referred to it. Although most noticeably the change they're referring to would be the physical change of color that the leaves on the trees exhibit, there are also some more subtle, but nonetheless significant changes that occur throughout ponies lives this time of year. The peak of this season is marked by the annual Running of the Leaves competition, in which several ponies compete in a marathon designed to shake the leaves from the trees as a result of the force of everypony trampling the grounds at once as they run. However this year, there was another competition between two ponies that was slowly gaining more spectators. An Iron Pony competition between the down-to-earth pony apple farmer Applejack, and the head-in-the-Cloudsdale pegasus Rainbow Dash. #76) What are your thoughts about the little mini issue within the fandom regarding Lil Miss Jay - the artist who works on the grimdark version of Rarity? Sure, he might draw something people don't like. But on the other end of the argument he's received death threats from both haters and bronies (I mean yeah it's the internet but some arrests were actually made). Any specific thoughts?
Answer: This one was quite difficult to answer, as I tend to avoid Tumblr, and thus had to perform some genuine research before answering. Being friends with a variety of Tumblr-fluent people, I receive information every now and then, and I have heard about the person in question, although what I've been told has been mostly negative. That said, I've never personally been involved in a situation with this user, and I can't even say that I've seen much of their work, and so I'm afraid that the next few points will be based on what I've heard from other people.
