Submitted to the Photography, Animals, Plants, and Nature Gallery's first "Natures Natural Textures" photography contest! The dramatic tides along Maine's coastline are perfect for images of the moonrise mirrored upon moving water. Sunset on the day before full moon will often leave sufficient sunlight at moonrise to still illuminate the delicate textures of Maine's pink granite rocks and the foliage of the distant forest. Location in Maine is the Tidal Falls Preserve.
For the contest, i wanted to do a triptych of dreams. The center panel is kind of a surreal portrait of myself as ruler of my dreams. The right panel is the queen at my side. The left panel is just a big funky robot (something i feel should be an essential part of everybody's dreams haha).
Since it is a personal piece, i wanted to play around with the different styles i enjoy working in and also to experiment more with brushes and painting techniques.
