Similitude ~ noun
Similarity in appearance or character or nature between persons or things.
What amazes me about the Street Photographs featured in this journal, is how they seem so alike in appearance, but at the same time, they are so vastly different in concept, theme and/or execution.
As we welcome another year of promoting Street, it gives me immense pleasure in presenting a selection of absolutely brilliant works that will make you stand back and really appreciate how these Artists, despite being worlds apart, still respond to and capture their environments in such a way that if you didn't know better, you'd be convinced that the images displayed below were taken by the same person.

When I was not yet an adult, not yet
A legal all-grown-up. The cannula
And the ceiling slid away and were replaced:
Pain and manufactured atmosphere and a
Numbing over all of it. Take the analgesics.
They left behind their trail of surgical twine
And instructions and a woozy contemplation.
Rinse with warm saltwater. Use icepacks.
So I did.
They never forgot the price, the dollar-signs
Flashing, flashing, flashing in an epileptic fit.
Finish the course of antibiotics. Finish:

And mandatory initiation ritual. Bed rest
Is recommended. I wanted to sleep, wanted
So badly to do something, but a side-effect
Was nausea and a sick worry pooled like pus
In the gap

All that I leave behind
Discretion in motion
To predict the outcome of survival
A state of certainty
A primal instinct
I come closer yet
With a softened stare
That shall remain nameless
To shut out the world
To ease down
A passive glance
And into me
As all structures are repaired
I choose to stay here
As one outlines the other ..
