About 3 years later...or 4? I decided to paintover one of my old paintings. It's interesting noticing the decisions I made back then, I think this version is better... My painting technique has certainly veered into a more precise approach. Anyway. Enjoy!
old version - I have no idea what I was thinking with that face...- [link]
Often we see female character design veering toward a predictable set of characteristics; unrealistically sexual, scantily clothed, and carrying a large gun outweighing her manyfold. It's cool and all, and it has its place.
But I think it would be nice to see some more thoughtful design choices happening. Give it a shot!
*edit* haha okay, most people saw this as a male...dangit. Well, it was supposed to be a female...
If you're wondering why I rarely have "finished" pieces, it's because I find beauty in the loose sketchy paintings. The highly rendered images are nice...but they tend to lack the feeling that it was made by human hands.
