Probably my first real attempt in a long time to create an original character, with some background story, features etc. So, here it is:
"Alexander Castell, the first and only ever succesful attemp to create a thinking artificial undead instead of mindless but controllable zombies, flesh golems, mechanical ghouls and others. Originally intelligent noble from the respected Castell family and hereby the heir to the authority over one of the most powerful clans in Purgatory Grounds, Alexander had proven himself as skillful warrior and ingenious strategic commander during the last civil war. However, his descentwas even more rapid than his ascension as he was wrongfully convicted in the betrayal of the Crown by false evidences of Sabo Genriett who craved for capturing of some Castell's territories. The case was re-examined and Alexander's guiltlessness restored long after his execution, so the choice of subject for this experiment should become a sort of apology, because the full success of the ritual ment almost true resurrection. But that never happened. The cooperation of mages and demonologists had somehow evoken to life a sort of symbiotic organism which origin is still unkwon. Some scientists believe that the creature in his cloak is the substantial incarnation of Madness Worm, one of the Greater Demons himself, but Alexander seems to be completely sane. The problem is, that he fully possesses his lifetime personality and memories, including his trial and execution, and that's what now makes him the enemy of all the living. His deadly weapon, the coffin-like mace with cross-shaped spinning blade on a long chain, is provided by his symbiont. The source of his armor is unknown, but Castell family have been famous for brilliant smiths in their subjection for ages, which probably means that Alexander himself possesses the power (or curse) to grant half-life to the dead ones. Fearless, infuriated and immortal, he's presently one of the most dangerous magical creatures on the Reality Plane."
To improve my work with a pen I decided to challenge myself this evening. I have drawn three cityscapes taking no longer than an hour on each one. As I typically work with a pencil this was a challenge for me... but an enjoyable one.
Please give me a little leeway and be kind with your comments, I understand and acknowledge these are not perfect, this was merely an exercise.. Iíll be back to drawing a really detailed pencil sketch next..
Another OC in my owm universe "Angrihon, Lord of Fever and Plague, demon guard and keeper of the keys to the third entrance of the Hall of Darkness. He possesses the power to spread all kind of illnesses burning the body and start horrible epidemies. Like most fallen angels, on his downfall Angrihon pased through three layers of the universe, and now his face is broken into three unequal parts. His wings are touched with marks of decay, and his hair became a cloak of poisonous gas. In order to retrieve power of mortals' grief from the outer layers of the world, he turned his right hand into strange creature holding The Orb of Pain and his chest into the portal leading to the Purgatory Grounds, using the most vicious and perverted of all the diabolical painters to create his unholy magic tattoos. He's probably the most calm and steady one of the demon kind, but don't be fooled - his inner flame of hatred is vast enough to burn every living creature in the world"
The Colossus Hub is a powerful piece of terraforming equipment left over from the Rodinian colonial period. Elysian scientists are attempting to restart the ancient facility in the hopes of healing some of the damage caused to the planet during the war. Among it's reputed powers are: weather control, sea level change and possibly tectonic energy redirection aka earthquake control.
This drawing was heavily inspired by and his Atmosphere Processor He's got some other really amazing stuff too!
Few, finally it is done!! Spend hell-a-lot of time on it (well, not so much in total may be, but some 3 weeks have gone since it was started) Inspired by recent watch of Tetsuo The Iron Man and Tetsuo II: Body Hammer. Good God, the first movie was probably the biggest influence on my affinity to "half human-half machine" theme I got in my life, and I haven't even known there was the second part, and the third is to be released!! Shame on me! (well, they're not so good as the original though)
