This is a PNG of a vector. The only parts that are not real vectors are the shading in Luna herself, and the stained glass texture. But since both look good kinda blurred, I'm completely fine with that.

Commission for *valleyviolet, a higher resolution image of my Luna Season 2 Stained Glass, specifically 18 inches in diameter.
It's got more purple in it that in the original, and yellow, but I like the contrast personally. Easily changeable if she wants it more blue. But the colors are more canon to the show as it is.

I thought reds to pinkish was far too monotone. It took me a while to pick another color scheme because my b/f kept insisting that red needed to be in it, even though I wanted to use blues or something. I kept wanting to compliment the red with orange, but orange/red just does not look good in one of these in my opinion. The only one it really works for is Derpy's.

I personally really liked Sombra. My partner put it best: He was less of a villain, and more of a force of nature. It wasn't his personality that stood out, but his intimidating tenacity. I appreciated the hurricane that was king.

So why are Cadance and Armor there, and not Spike?
Because I focused the stained glass on the Crystal Empire, not the episode. And Cadance is the Crystal Princess. By marriage, that makes Shining Armor the Prince. He even has that title in the episode.
And yes, there is a complete stained glass under all the smoke.
The top half is all snowflakes of course, but still.

SpeedPaint:
I attempted to make a SpeedPaint of this. But about 7 hours of recording later (in 3-hour segments) the program crashed and wouldn't record any more. I tried everything. Re-installing the program, restarting my laptop, my computer was getting stupid-slow so I did a virus scan, deleted old programs and temporary files, defragged my hard drive, and restarted my laptop again. None of it helped the program, so I downloaded a lesser-quality recording program, but the video turned out corrupted. Then it turned out that that the other 3-hour segments got corrupted somewhere along the line too, while I was trying to edit them in a video-editer to play faster. So unfortunately there is no SpeedPaint for this one. I'm going to actually BUY a program and load it onto a desktop when I buy one and try again with another Stained Glass project. *pout*

This is a heck of a lot more colorful than most of my other designs, but otherwise it lacked... what's the word I'm looking for... 'Energy.' Things tend to fade when the mane subject is b&w. Also, her home is so vibrant with mystery and potion magic, that I had to try to imitate it in her stained glass. It reflects her personality I think.

...So this can never be a real stained glass because of the top layer of smoke. The color goes over the lines. But I thought the effect was nice for this digital image.

This is a PNG of a vector I made for the Trefoil Project in response to the recent elementary school shooting. Eight of the girls who were killed were Daisy Girl Scouts.

The Trefoil Project is asking Girl Scouts all across the country to write thoughts or prayers or art in the shape of a trefoil. In mid-January, Girl Scouts of Connecticut will present them to the Newtown Service Unit during a memorial service.
