SCP-1000 at the SCP Foundation website
www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1000

I had a course on digital sculpting using Z-Brush and created this 3D Sculpt based on one of my drawings here ateo88.deviantart.com/art/SCP-…

Ultimately it deviated from the 2D version but I think I like this one better plus I think it is more true to the original SCP concept :)

The lecturer was teaching us how to 3D model for games, so this is actually the optimized version at 12,577 Polys.

This is a model used for an MK1 HD remake in mugen. Thought it'd be fun to put him in the MK9 Classic skin DLC pose.

Something I've done during my lunch breaks at work, speed painting took me a couple of hours.

I might be a little excited about the new film ;P

All done in Photoshop using a Wacom tablet.

Muad'Dib at a stance with his maker hook. Possibly looking out for the Shai-Hulud from a top of a sand dune.

I wanted to create a sort of painterly slightly gritty look to the illustration to give the feeling of sand and dry weatheredness of the mean Arrakis terrain. There is a suggestion of a caravan of fremen in the background to the right, down in the valley.

Jago
[Killer Instinct]

I always liked Jago's flying kick and fighting style. Whenever I choose a fighting game character, I make sure it has some good strong kicks because I like jumping a lot (I guess) so connecting long kicks from the air and start combos that way is what I usually do.

As for this illustration, I tried to make the classic NES design (which was quite simple in terms of details) more comic like. So I had a look at some classic X-Men issues I saw around the web and got some inspiration. Gambit's hairstyle was borrowed in some way... haha... I even felt like drawing Psylocke next time... I guess Jim Lee's works are definitely inspiring as for human body knowledge refers... wow! his pencil strokes look really cool.
It was hard to find good references for Jago. I didn't really manage to understand what type of shoes, boots or sandals he wears... and the sword... I didn't really find a good reference either. Maybe next time I will try to do a better job.

This work is aimed to be included as part of Killer Instinct Tribute organized by -Game Art HQ - Fighting Games Elite [fighting-games-elite.deviantart.com].
