Now the public vote (which included the Imfamous Fractal Forums Admin/Founder CKleihuis aka TriFox and other members of the forums) left us with no clear 2nd or 3rd place with several submissions tied on votes. every time I will hear the word "Bella" I'll think of you.
Another Sad LossAs I am sure most of you have heard, Gary (aka Skyzyk) passed away last night. It came as a great shock to me, to see this news when I logged in today, although I will admit I had noticed he seemed absent recently. This seems especially sad as it came on the birthday of :iconkram666: who we also lost all too recently. For myself, this is now the third dA friend I have seen pass away, and it doesn't really get any easier. It will be very hard knowing we will never see another wonderful piece of art from these artists, nor have their support and assistance. Gary was always very helpful to me, and to many others, giving tips and advice about fractal software and good comments and criticism of other's works.

As some of you may have noticed, we now have a nice, shiny new group logo.

The original logo was OK, but personally I felt it was getting a wee bit 'old' looking.
Some of you may recognise the image; it's based on a fairly recent creation
by 'phoenixkeyblack' :iconphoenixkeyblack: simply titled 'Mandelbulb 3D'!
My thanks to PKB for giving permission to use and modify his params and graphic.
In other news, due to pressure of work, the groups' original founder 'NightmareTF' :iconnightmareTF:
has now passed the reins of group management to yours truly!
As the group has just passed the 300 member mark, I'll be looking to recruit
a few suitable contributors, to help out with some of the basic day-to-day operations
within the group. So, if you receive a request, please do give it some serious consideration?

Did you know that bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week? Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. They are:
Monday = Blue,
Tuesday = Green,
Thursday = Red
Friday = White
Saturday = Yellow.
So if today was Thursday, you would want red twist tie; not white which is Fridays (almost a week old)! The colors go alphabetically by color Blue- Green - Red - White - Yellow, Monday through Saturday. Very easy to remember. I thought this was interesting. I looked in the grocery store and the bread wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the ones with the plastic clips have different colors. You learn something new everyday! Enjoy fresh bread when you buy bread with the right color on the day you are shopping.

Hey guys, your local Folder Expert here. I've noticed a lot of confusion with sorting and submitting into the wrong folders, which really hinders the time it takes to accept a picture, so I'm going to give you some tips to help all of us out.Photo manipulation- NEW- THERE'S A NEW PHOTO MANIPULATION FOLDER!!! PLEASE SUBMIT THERE!!!
Photography- I've noticed a lot of people are unsure about Photography. There IS a folder just for it, and it also includes digitally edited photography. If it is a photo of any kind, it goes in the "Photography" folder.
Uniforms- This is only for historical things and war related images. Just because someone is wearing a some crazy uniform does not qualify it to go there.
Fan art- If what you drew/painted/ect. is copyrighted and the original idea belongs to someone else, it goes in the "fanart" folder. It could be traditional or digital or whatever, but it goes in here. (Un
