Legacy of Ruin, Chapter 6: Cold as Ice (P4)All around him, the deck had erupted into chaos. The bodies of several attackers and defenders alike were already strewn across the surface of the Lady Irewyth. Many Naga were climbing aboard, spilling onto the ship's deck from all possible sides. A quick look told Llorrin the other frigate was facing the same problem. The scaly Mur'guls used their sharp little hands and feet to climb the side of the ship while the reptilian Myrmidons and female Sirens pulled themselves onto the deck more slowly, like giant, scaly slugs. Steel clashed against coral blades as gunshots filled the air like the sound of a raging thunderstorm. The cries of man and beast alike were deafening.
Though he was standing in the middle of the ship, it wasn't long before the next opponent was upon him. A Mur'gul reaver jumped at Llorrin, his sharp teeth blickering in the moonlight as he raked at Llorrin's shoulders with his claws. Llorrin ducked to the left and swept his cutlass up as he came back up, his bla
A sad little dragon (working title)Some time ago, a blue dragon with green horns hatched out of a blue egg with green spots. He had a very big family, with lots of uncles, aunts, and many cousins. But he only had one sister; a purple dragon with red horns. The little blue dragon also had a Papa and a Momma, both of whom he loved very much.A sad little dragon (working title)5 months ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
But when the blue dragon was only beginning to learn to walk on his chubby little legs, his Momma dragon got sick. It wasn't a sickness you could see, like the measles or the chickenpox. Momma dragon changed, in a very scary way. She was angry, and mean to the other dragons. And one day, when the little blue dragon woke up, his momma was gone. All of the adults were very sad, especially Papa dragon.
"Where is Momma?" Asked the little blue dragon.
"She flew away, little dragon." Papa said.
"Where did she go?" Asked the little blue dragon.
"To a place very far away, where little dragons can never fly to."
The little blue dragon never saw his momma again. And he was sad.

Eros sat impassively in front of his PS3, thumbing the controller at godly speed, while his father, Ares, was fuming by his side.
"Ares, dear, you know how he is," his mother said peaceably, placing a large bowl of popcorn on the table. "He'll do it when he feels ready."
Ares was a bit of a workaholic. He maintained his athletic physique though hours of grueling training every day, and he made damn sure there was at least one war somewhere in the world at all times, to keep himself busy. His son Eros, on the other hand, had always been the pudgy, lazy type. Several thousand years ago, when he was a blond, curly, cute little baby, that might have worked for him. But for a god several thousand years old to be still living with his mother and playing video games, that was a bit of a let down. Of course, he took after his mother, Aphrodite, who was notorious for spending most of her time in bed... usual

Chapter 1 :
The castle of Northgate , in the shire of Northfolk
“Ah God , this place is the most boring of the whole shire !” sighed Berin , while he idly supported on the parapet .
But in fact , he didn't regret his situation at all because the castle of Northgate was the safest place for a soldier except if boredom can kill …
“Berin , a missive just arrived ! shouted Sicebert , one of his mate .
“ My watch isn't finished and I want to be payed so wait !”
“Dude , nobody cares about your watch , the captain just asked everyone to come to the mess”
“Why ? The pay is arrived ?” said Berin , suddenly more interested .
“I don't know but I don't think so . The pay is supposed to arrived in 10 days and you know that they are often late but never in advance . Oh , and I forgot it comes from the capital city ”
The Good Critic's GuideThe Good Critic's Guide:The Good Critic's Guide2 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This
I have noticed that many critics on DA tend to leave rather harsh and sometimes subjective critiques on the pages of the artists being critiqued. Their rationale for doing so is based on the concept that 'we shouldn't molly-coddle each other and instead "tell it like it is"'. However this type of critique reflects poorly on one who is critiquing as opposed to the one who is being critiqued and I will explain why throughout the course of this guide. In essence I hope to use this resource as a way of teaching potential critics how to properly focus their abilities and direct their critiques in a manner that will allow them to be rated as a good critic.
Note: Before reading on, take note that this guide is only for literary works as I have no experience judging visual art and therefore cannot create a rating scale for those.
II. The Purpose of a Critique:
The first question that we must ask ourselves is this: "Why does an individu

Tis a relief often to be wished. To pee, to wizz,

Legacy of Ruin, Chapter 5: DestinyIf captain Adane was happy to see Llorrin, he didn't show it. He looked up from his map –which, in the meantime, had become somewhat closer to being finished- and folded it slowly, taking him in with his dark, almost black eyes.Legacy of Ruin, Chapter 5: Destiny2 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"Llorrin" he said, with little warmth in his voice. The captain sighed as he looked the lad over. Adane's eyes then strayed briefly to the addled painting on the wall. Llorrin tried hard not to look as well.
"You are late."
"My apologies, captain."
"You have exceeded the time you got for your mission by two weeks. The fact you brought back more ships and survivors than any of the other captains changes little. Still, considering this was only your first time commanding a ship… you'll have to tell me how you managed that."
Even though it had likely been by accident the notion of being referred to as a captain almost made Llorrin swell with pride, but he kept his body under control, convinced it was the worst possible of times to show pride. He was a
Legacy of Ruin, Chapter 6: Cold as Ice (P3)The frigates sailed out of sight of the shore for many miles. By Carekon's estimates the journey back was going to be indefinitely shorter. Not only did they have maps at their disposal, this time the frigates weren't being slowed down by battleships and didn't have to stop at every patch of land or island they came across to explore and stock up on supplies either. Supplies were one thing the crew wouldn't have to worry about, at least, if it hadn't been up to Llorrin. They'd had little reserves to start with, and Llorrin didn't want to waste any time sailing to the small island outposts the expedition had left in their trail.Legacy of Ruin, Chapter 6: Cold as Ice (P3)2 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
He'd already made this decision a few days into the journey and for once, Jeredan was the only one who didn't complain about his orders. Rations were small, but Llorrin was positive they could make it, and no doubt the forces occupying Keep Tiragarde would welcome them with open arms and part with some of their own as soon as they reached them. While the men wer
Legacy of Ruin, Chapter 6: Cold as Ice (P2)Looking over his newly assembled crew from the quarterdeck felt amazing. The men were packed closely together, and there were a lot of unfamiliar faces in the mass, which pulled Llorrin's attention to those he knew. Irewyth didn't seem to be looking forward to his upcoming speech. Well, at least it didn't surprise him. The hydromancess was talking to Wheann, who seemed rather uncomfortable. Llorrin guessed Wheann was trying to tell the hydromancess to quiet down because he could start any minute, but the half-elf clearly wasn't having much success.Legacy of Ruin, Chapter 6: Cold as Ice (P2)2 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Chuth was at the front of the pack. The sniper had his fists clenched and was keeping a wary eye on Jeredan, who was right next to him and looking at the dwarf-like man curiously, much in the way a starved wolf would look at a chicken that had waltzed upon his path. Llorrin wondered which one of the two men he disliked the most, but quickly decided now wasn't the time to be thinking such things. He was going to need everyone.
Llorrin had pla
Legacy of Ruin, Chapter 7: Scars That Remain (P2)Llorrin didn't sleep very well over the course of the next few days, so he wasn't surprised to find himself lying awake at night yet again. Llorrin could feel his heart beating all the way through to his eardrums, beating, and hurting like he'd been running through the Tanarian desert with a pack of Silithids on his heels for miles. He simply couldn't get himself to relax, and getting frustrated with it only made it worse. His restlessness reminded him of the night before he went on his first sea journey, but he could only wish something as innocent as excitement was the cause of it right now. Deep breaths, trying to think of other things, forcing himself to lie still for minutes... nothing helped.Legacy of Ruin, Chapter 7: Scars That Remain (P2)2 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
He'd thought he'd spent a lot of time talking to Elduin, but only now did he realize just how much had remained unsaid, how many questions were still left unanswered. For one thing, he'd missed the opportunity to ask the druid about the storm, the very storm that could have cost all of them
Quick! The fate of a brownie is in your hands!Just a little while before starting this journal I posted the revamp of the wrestling Oc Riptide.Quick! The fate of a brownie is in your hands!6 months ago in Personal More Like This
I still have his original pencil work saved and am struck by inspiration. Because Riptide is also meant to be a basic rp character like the default character you get in most games he has the potential to be anything.
So why not turn him into a brownie?
I had a few ideas but then I thought"Hey, why not let my viewers brainstorm a bit? This will be fun."
So now I set a challenge out to my viewers to redesign riptide's look and story. The favored design will be applied to the brownie form of riptide and the back story will be added in the description.
there are only a few rules.
1: I require the design to be comprehensible. If I cant tell what the design is or how its meant to look I'm not going to accept it. it doesn't have to be pretty but I should at least be able to tell his ass from his elbow.
2:Rename him. In this I'm sure there will probably be
