I have lots of photos from my Italy/Paris trip, and still sorting them. I'll post a journal with some more, but the simplicity of this photo makes it my personal favorite. I also photographed it while riding a gondola, which was a very cool experience.
I hope you like it, too!

(I know it's just a simple snapshot, so I'll probably end up scrapping. Very biased about all my photos now, haha)

Here is what happened. Years ago when I made this piece, my computer died and I lost the big resolution files.

(That's right folks, always save your work on an external hard-drive).

:icondetail: Detail decided to buy my copyrights for the 4 hamster pieces I made, I didn't have the big files anymore. So we decided that I rework the pieces, keep them them same but in a huge resolution.

:icondetail: Detail is also announcing a comic about the cute warrior hamsters. [link]

The piece before being re-worked. [link]

This was originally a speed paint sketch for class but then I ruined it and worked on it for a while =) Originally inspired by the Eyrie from the Game of Thrones book series by George R R Martin, then I changed that too.

Sorry if you've emailed/messaged me, life has been really insane for me lately! I'm sorry. Can't wait for 2012 to be over. haha.

1. the overall view of Glintadale Island, where the moon elves live. The Moon Goddess Glintadale is in charge of spiritual power, ocean waves, and prophethy. Weather is pretty mild just like New Zealand on earth, no drastic difference of temperature. Heavy rain, moist air, and you can see forest, prairie, lakes everywhere, especially forest. Therefore, as a result, herbal medical treatments and art of gardening are what many of the elves are good at. Fishery, animal husbandry are quite popular and prospered. As for farming, they grow a lot of fruits and wheats.
Transportationwise, huge parrots, dragonlings are prefered for flying, while horses and some huge birds that cannot fly are chosen for ground transportations.
Moon elves generally have a good relationship with the sea elves since they do share a common belief. The Moon Goddess are also praised by some sea elves.
(The darker blue patch indicates where the sea elves are active)
2. Rocks of Lament: This is a speedy concept, nothing too solid yet. The moon elves say, if you are smart you should probably avoid this area. This area was once a popular site for committing suicide and drowning, now surrounded by ghosts who are rejected by the goddess after they die.
3. This is the original concept for the major city Silver Arch, now it is ABANDONED and I have a new concept. I will probably deliver the new imagery of silver arch after a week or two weeks. The thumb in (1) shows the new imagery, it is done.

The whole purpose of posting these is to keep updating with new speed paintings for attractions.
