Short version: This character is from my writing. You can read it HERE: [link]
. I'm a good writer; haven't gotten a review that wasn't good for it yet.
Long version: A'ight; Character's name is Neri , an escaped spirit/ghost that's bumming around after wriggling out of hell. The spirit's inherantly curious, inherantly good: wants nothing more but to enjoy life and be apart of it, make due with what she's got. No real memory to her, but also no answers; of course there's tension on why she would've been in hell, what she did, etc.
After some time, she learns she's one of three parts of a complete soul (souls divide as Past, Present And Future: Past life singular spirits are reluctant ghosts, Present is the current, active moving spirit, future is whatever you choose to do at any level after your death- angels, demons, etc.) Also finds out that being a segemented soul is probably a very bad thing; if you're one of three, there's a reason you were spilt up, usually as a punishment for...something. This does not help alleviate questions, only antagonize them.
So after...fff... 18 chapters or so of living on her own as a onezie, she starts expiriencing a terrilbe draw to a place she's never been, a sort of uncontrollable urge to just up and run. She does, and eventually finds another part of her own soul brutally slaughtering oodles of people. With a sort of blind, sick need to pal back up together, they join, only to have only a bit of her independent soul get spit back out, the unnecessary emotional part that's developed her personality post- separation. The other soul kinda devours the necessary part to be functional, not entirely human, but sentinent enough to know to clear out the rest of the people that have been attacking her. So the one emotional bit gets to sit there and freak the eff out while the bigger (see submission) does it's job. Shortly after finishing that all off, the independent part is absorbed as well, and Neri learns from her newly aquired other half o' her soul, that she's been doing this for a long, long time. Depression ensues.
So this is her 2/3rds completed self. 1/3rd looks normal with glasses (also the red/white dragon you've seen in my gallery, it's the same character) 3/3rds looks more wacky then this.
There. Now i've spoiled a good... 1/7th of the book for you.
Other half; teacher told me I don't put a lot of emotion into pictures; so i'm working to change that. Blood-like Neri looks angsty enough. Book's called Caleum Sky; i've already had interest from a few publishers on getting it in print, but I just finished writing about a month back, and it's been in edit since.
