Aaron Paul tweeted this link to his 500,000 followers on Twitter today! Result: Over 6,000 views in the first DAY, ha! :D

BE SURE to view ALL my BREAKING BAD DRAWINGS in this FOLDER [link]

The UN-enlarged view is ACTUAL SIZE of the drawing. I just mailed Aaron the original drawing 2/2/13 :D

His hoodie took me longer to draw than his face! I'm happy with the texture, which I did by first laying a base with B & 2B.
Then some light "spot blending", followed by using a SOFT 5B (I roughened the surface with sandpaper) & used an Overhand Grip.
I then "point shaped" a kneaded eraser and "Blue Tac" to highlight :D

Breaking Bad. One of my favorite series of all time. I've been thinking about doing this portrait for a while. And I finally did it. I'm about to do the same kind of tribute for Gus Fring and Jesse Pinkman.
It was a lot of fun drawing the 100bucks and Walter's wrinkles.

Hope you guys like it.

Done with pencils, and Fabber Castell black pens.

Breaking Bad fans know this is Aaron Paul, who recently won an Emmy Award for "Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series" for his role as “Jesse Pinkman” in AMC's hit show "Breaking Bad". I don't allow myself to obsess over any TV shows or celebrities, but Breaking Bad is my SOLE exception, ha! :D:D So you can imagine that we were thrilled to meet Aaron at Hard Rock Café in Chicago in 2010, while watching our son Andrew Belle perform. He is a super nice guy, and when you spend literally dozens of hours with a TV character, you feel as if you know them?

A few days ago, I @ mentioned Aaron (@aaronpaul_8) on twitter and said that if he followed me on twitter, I would draw him a large double portrait of him and Bryan Cranston" and he agreed! (twitter.com/rickfortson) However, he would rather I create a different drawing that he would hang in his personal home :D:D

Last week, I finally mailed my original “Walter White” drawing to Vince Gilligan (show creator) who is having it framed and hung in the official Breaking Bad office! :D:D

Last December, Vince Gilligan had somehow seen my drawings and had his assistant email me to get my home address, and then sent me some fan SWAG from the show, along with a hand written thank you note. Of course, I remain blown away that he did that!

My past Breaking Bad drawings:

Synopsis: Breaking Bad is an American television drama series created and produced by Vince Gilligan. Set and produced in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Breaking Bad is the story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a struggling high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with advanced lung cancer at the beginning of the series. He turns to a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine with a former student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), with the aim of securing his family's financial future before he dies.

Breaking Bad : Walter White

Pencil drawing , the good and the bad side of Walter.W.

This is my first pencil drawing on Deviantart!!

I got a bit tired of Photoshop and so I decided to do this one with the pencil. I did not touch the pencil since i started with photoshop ( stencils for tattoos dont count )

It was very refreshing to draw on paper again. At the same time i feel how much i have improved since the last time.

I had horrible reference photos, so that was the best i could do with it =)

*** PLS NOTE: This is only 5.5 x 7 inches, so BOTH VIEWS are larger than the drawing

This is Bryan Cranston as "Walter White" on AMC's show BREAKING BAD.

SIZE: 5.5 x 7 inches
PAPER: Bristol Smooth 300 series
PENCILS: Staedtler 3B, 2B, B, HB, F, H
TIME: about 10 hours

Keep in mind this drawing is only 5.4 x 7 inches, so details will get lost when viewing larger. VIEW ZOOMED DETAILS IN A LARGE HIGH RES PIC HERE: twitpic.com/6v1asw

PS - his right pupil (our left) was not exactly rounded on both sides in the reference photo, and I drew it that way. Wishing I had corrected it now. Like someone once told me, if it looks strange in a photo, it will look even stranger in your drawing. Sometimes we need to take a little artistic license and change it to look more natural?

CHECK out what Vince Gilligan (creator of the show) sent me when he saw my BB drawings :D:D

It Currently hangs at the Breaking Bad offices :D

The UN-enlarged view is a little bigger than the drawing.

I love the Breaking Bad character Gustavo "Gus" Fring, played by Giancarlo Esposito. He replied to my twitter post, and I was able to send him the original drawing via his manger.
He gave me a random Twitter mention yesterday, SO cool! (2/17/13)
