Part 2 - The RequestAuri took a slow breath, watching the shifting energy dance like birds on the breeze as she moved. Within her chest something writhed and twisted, thrashing against the cage of bone. Closing her eyes she pushed away the creeping sensations, the burning pain that seemed to come from her cheeks and settle in the depths of her eyes.Part 2 - The Request4 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
No, not here she said silently. With every scrap of force she pushed the desire away. Finally the world shifted.
No one had witnessed her move never mind the subtle power play she had been forced to deal with just by taking hold of her swords.
All the audience saw was the two severed pike-heads laying beside her. The twin swords looked like an extension of her arms, their blades so sharp that the edges gleamed iridescent blue. Keen eyes within the audience saw something moving beneath the metal but could make out no shape or form.
The room was filled with hushed whispers.
Golden EyesGolden EyesGolden Eyes4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Eyes like fire, eyes of gold, eyes on one who's seen things untold.
The one with the golden eyes is who I see, one short on stature and large on heart.
The one who seeks to bring back who he use to be.
His arm of metal, his arm of flesh, seeks to bring him back again.
The one who use to call out with a voice of joy, he who called nii-san, he who cried out brother, he who paid the price, the one he sealed to metal on that night.
Journey on the path; seek something that is nothing more then what lies beyond that door.
The door of truth, the door of hope, the door that he waits before, the door that holds what they desire once more.
Journey as a dog, journey as ones who know nothing but fear.
Journey on to see them once more.
Eyes of fire, eyes of gold, look for the secrets once more.
Look upon the ashes that make up your memories, upon those wretched ashes.
Look upon the little girl, twisted and morphed.
Look upon the masses who cry for war and who cry at the parent lost.

Close your eyes and visualize a lush forest.
Focus now on a red wolf, this is me.
Allow your breathing to even out as you sink deeper into my realm.
Once you can feel the soft grass under your paws, smell the rich life of nature, and surround yourself in it can you be with me.
Imagine us brushing fur to fur and burying our noses into the nape of each others necks.
This is us greeting and our show of affection for one another.
Follow me to a nearby stream, the water is fresh and full of fish.
Let us eat, drink and play together.
Now we can head to the edge of the forest.
Look up with me at the twinkling night sky.
Isn't it beautiful? Can you see the moon?
Do you feel your moon song growing deep within your stomach and branching through your veins?
Sing your lullaby to the moon with me.
It's an enchanting feeling ♥
Come with me now to our den, the soil is rich and warm, roll in it gently then snuggle close together.

Our hearts will gradually begin to beat in
Mornings - HakkaiGojyoI could help but smile as I pressed my face into his long crimson hair. He always smelt of smoke, but there was always the smell of him underneath, the scent that was uniquely Gojyo. All I can say is that it's something like spice. I felt him stir in my arms, muttering quietly in his sleep. I pulled him closer as the sunlight streamed over us.Mornings - HakkaiGojyo4 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
"Gojyo, you have to walk up before Sanzo and Goku otherwise we may be caught in a rather compromising position," I whispered in his ear.
Gojyo's eyes opened lazily and he looked up at me, a little confused.
And again we moved away from each other.
Lately, whenever we camped out in the car Gojyo and I had woken up like this. Sanzo had taken to sleeping in the back where there was more room, forcing Gojyo in the front with me. And every night while we slept one of us would subconsciously move to the other and we woke with our limbs tangled with each others. It had been a little embarrassing at first. We would leap away from e

"You cold, baby?" He asked her in a soft voice. Seeing Anna nod, he wrapped her in a soft blanket. Anna looked up at him with a soft smile.
"Do you love me?" She asked. Mike gave a small giggle.
"Of course I do, you know that." She gave him another smile.
"Now I have a question for you." Mike whispered. Anna nodded, looking up into his deep brown eyes.
"Would you like to spend the rest of your life as Mrs. Robert Michael Nesmith?" He asked in a shaky voice. He looked into Anna's eyes, giving a small hopeful smile. She nodded.

"W-WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY???," I said as shock and panic both hit me like a Mack-truck.
"You know, you're not taking this as well as I'd hoped, Sorrow.," Kabren said with obvious regret.
"Well it's not everyday you find out someone wants to kill you. I mean, I'm nobody! ...This can't be happening. In what world is it possible that I'm on a hit-list of a person with supernatural powers. And who, oh-by-the-way, has MURDERED PEOPLE BEFORE?!!"
"Yes, three times she's killed, and that's not including the casualties along the way "
"Well, there were injuries sustained by each victim's family members or friends who were, inadvertently, involved oh, and a couple of beloved pets, respectively.," Kabren said with a nonchalance that was unnerving in and of itself.
"So, not only has this PSYCHO Fairy come to kill me, but she's going to hurt everyone I care about, too? WHAT THE HELL AM I GOING TO DO KABREN?!!"

This story is dedicated
to three people. First,
to myself. Second,
to another, who
I hope shall remain forever
anonymous. Third and
most importantly, to the
angel who saved me:
Without these people, this
Story would not exist,
Because it is written both
For them and about them.
"...Is he stable?"
"Yes, his pulse is weak but he is still alive."
"Good. We cannot afford to lose him. We need to keep him alive just a bit longer. This boy is very important."
"It's such a pity. He is so young.... His life has been so hard...."
"No one said life was meant to be easy."
"His cousin also gave up the ghost very young. Meg, I think her name was. He always talks about her. Says he misses her. What ever became of her?"
"I am not the one to say. She was needed for some other purpose. Death is a sad thing for mortals. It's painful. Leaving one's friends and family behind, shedding one's body...crossing a threshold from which no one can return..."

the cause of the angry words and the
cries of the barbaric bystanders

The purpose of life.
It hit me as the energy
and the bright schizophrenic flashing
forced me away.
How much easier is it to
make sure to roll out of bed when
you have a selfish and selfless reason
all at once?
When you live for the voice
of someone else?
It's easy to live
it's yourself you have to struggle for.
But in that pessimistic flash
of darkly-tinted red I saw
what other purpose is needed
but to live?
Think, if you will
for just a moment:
isn't it enough to be here?
is the only thing that's certain--
what if there is nothing else?
Who are we to protest
to what is given now?
Where would we be without it?

Only when night leaks into the sky,
And the stars brighten up with glee,
Only when the silver moon is sighted nearby,
Do you appear beside me.
The day you left made me feel so empty,
Yet I could not shed one tear,
For what I felt was a hollow mystery,
To the days you were not there.
But each night I escape from the World I know,
To a place of my own where you hide,
And the words you speak from your heart to mine,
Keep me warm and joyful inside.
Yet the reason I felt so dark before,
Was not knowing what I know now,
Only in the form of a robin do you return,
And perched upon a branch... You watched me grow.

"Now, Ellena, what did your grandmother tell you about playing in the swamp?" The voice that asked the question was soft and far from scolding. Every word that the young woman spoke seemed to be wrapped in love and tied with a smile. For some, such a caring tone would be reserved for only those dearest to them, but for Jessica it just came naturally. For her, every being - human or animal, living or dead - was precious.
That didn't make the child who sat before her any less nervous, the petite girl biting her lip and hanging her head forward so that her chestnut bangs partially hid her face. Far shorter than Jessica's own locks, they were also quite a bit darker and did an admirable job of casting the girl's face into sullen shadow. Come in, come in...
Why go back home, why turn around?
The forest calls.. Can’t you hear the sound?
Come in, come in...
There is nothing to lose, and everything to win;
for this, this is not like anywhere you've ever been.
Here the trees twist, the branches twine
the twigs crack, the leaves rustle.
You won't get far, not moving a muscle.
Don't be afraid...
You could always stay
just till darkness falls?
Move.. come on, the forest calls!
Go on, and don't look back
Just follow the track, step by step.
No need to bring water, no need to bring bread

Introduction: The Beginning
The distance between each pace of mine was deepening, making each foot almost unable to defeat the other, filling every pace with frustration and fear. The wind gushed through my mouth as my lungs over-powered the air to force down my throat. My heart exploded in every heartbeat, each pulse feeling as if it were ripping me open. The loose gravel slid beneath me, being the only connection between the earth and me, now whirling and smashing on the ground in frantic circles as I raced through it. As scary as this moment felt, I couldn't give up. I couldn't let the ferocity of fear defeat me.
Impossible as it seemed, I picked up my pace, prizing my legs of distressed muscles open, forcing each step to the racing floor, accelerating stronger, harsher. The force of breath which left me from each batter of my lungs, delivered my stinging eyes with bitter fear.
There was no possibility of stopping now, especially when I didn't know how. I kept my mind focused, compl
