FAQs *updated*Are your commissions open?FAQs *updated*2 years ago in Personal More Like This
My commissions are pretty much always full. I take 40 slots every 4 months or so, but my slots fill up within seconds after I post that I'm taking new orders
How do I know when you'll be taking order?
I always post a journal update about a week before I open with the date, time and a countdown to when I'll be taking new orders. Just keep an eye out for that!
I messaged you exactly when your commissions opened why didn't I get a slot?
That would be because I get a high volume of notes at that very second, and although I'd love to take all the commission requests I'm only one person and I can only take 40 orders at once to avoid overworking myself.
Do you take point commissions?
Sadly points cannot pay my fabric, so therefore I can't accept point commissions.
How do you make patterns?
I learned how to make patterns by studying patterns that were available for free online and by starting small and simple then working my way up
The Price of Plot TwistsPlot twists. Whether it be mystery novels, an M. Night Shyamalan movie, or the prolific father-son reunion in the Empire Strikes Back, plot twists pop up in every genre and medium of storytelling. With good reason, too. A plot twist surprises you, it makes you rethink everything you thought you knew, and it shatters whatever plot predictions you've racked up for the ride. A good plot twists enriches a story, it complicates it. A great one blows your freaking mind. The Price of Plot Twists9 months ago in Resources
I think it's the "blows your freaking mind" variety that have really pumped us all up on the concept of twists. After all, when people talk about, say, The Sixth Sense, what do they always bring up? The heart-warming relationship between Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment? Of course not! It's that reality-shattering twist (which I will not name for the sake of those who haven't seen it yet). Or how about Shutter Island? That one had a bit of a doozy as well.
We've developed a bit of an addiction, I think.
How to: Scroll BoxesTransferred from ~eCSSercise. How to: Scroll Boxes1 year ago in Resources
This is the first part of a tutorial series that I will be working on in the future and will be released whenever I find the time for it.
In order to know how I can make them better and to make it easier for you to understand the things I am talking about it would be appreciated if you would leave some feedback!

For this tutorial series I am explaining different elements you can create or modify with the help of CSS. The level of experience that is needed to be able to understand the tutorials can differ and will be in no order. I will try to explain the things as simple as possible though.
The Basics
To create a scrollbox you don’t need much, just a box with a limited height or width in order to enforce the scrollbar. If you don’t limit the dimensions of the box it will adjust itself to the space given by the browser resolution and settings.
The limited dimension itself doesn’t create the scrollbar,

What Am I Talking About?
What is the difference between an embedded deviation and a deviant thumb? Glad you asked. The thumbs have the codes everyone already knows and loves. And if you don't know what I'm on about, then look on the sidebar of your deviation and you will find your thumbcode. These codes can be used in journals, widgets and artist descriptions to link a thumbnail of the deviation.

The Cosplay Plus lens is a larger variant of Alice and Rabbit Shop's popular Cosplay Lens series.
You may read my review of the Cosplay Lens series HERE
Let's take a look at one of my favorites from the Cosplay Plus set, which I'll now refer to as CosPlus. Here's a look at CosPlus Grey:
The pattern is very similar to the original Cosplay Lens, however they differ greatly in diameter.
Cosplay Lenses — 14.2 mm
CosPlus Lenses — 14.8 mm
0.6 mm might not seem like a lot, but for something tiny like a contact lens, the dif

The Drafting ProcessAmong the countless number of writers in this world, each of us writes according to his or her own process. It's a routine we settle into, a habit we develop. That being said, there are good and bad habits out there, and to produce the best work we can, we need to adopt the very best of these habits while discarding the rest. The Drafting Process1 year ago in Resources
In this guide, I'd like to introduce one such habit: a basic (though incredibly effective) seven-step writing process that I've read being thrown around by a few authors (Stephen King in particular). From my own experiences, it has proven indispensable, and I highly recommend it. Not as your absolute process, mind you (although following it to the letter would still be effective), but as a base to work off of, making your own additions here and there to make it your own.
Step 1: Write the first draft.
The writer that creates something perfect on his first try is an incredibly rare specimen (although, so I've heard, not completely no
Before Cosplay Makeup: Basic Skincare! Before I write about cosplay makeup, I figured I should discuss some skincare basics. I feel it's important to know how to take care of your skin before you start putting gunk on it! This is really very basic so I think those of you with your own regimens already might be bored by it! But here it goes! Before Cosplay Makeup: Basic Skincare!6 months ago in Personal
I'm not an awesome guru wizard thing, but I'll just share some general concepts and products that work for me. It's different for everybody, but I hope this will be helpful! For your sreference, my skin type is combination: normal to dry with an oily nose. Hahah! Not my T-zone, just my nose!
Recently, my male friends had gotten very interested in makeup for cosplay and asked me for tips on how to go about it. (I think this was fueled by Kaname's visit to our country for Cosplay Mania '12, and they saw how beautiful he looks.) I decided to ask them about their skincare regimen to figure out what products might work for their skin type.
When I asked what they wash their face w

Everything explained is based on the gruze-structure of journals. If you are still using the old structure or have a journal installed that used it, things won’t work the same way like explained below.
For simple skins the old structure is fine, but the more features you add, the more I would recommend using the gruze-structure. You can look up the differences here: http://ginkgografix.deviantart.com/art/Old-vs-Gruze-Journals-112772369
This time I will explain you, how to modify the header section of a journal. I will try to cover everything important, but if there are still things you want to know more about, just let me know and I will try to add it here.
Nothing what I will explain here will affect the actual content area and it will always refer to the defaul
Describing your CharactersDescribing your CharactersDescribing your Characters1 year ago in Resources
When it comes to characters, we writers have a certain goal: to bring these people to life in the readers' imaginations. But for this to work, two things need to happen.
1) The character needs personality.
2) The readers need to be able to visualize the character as they read.
The first is achieved through characterization, while the second is traditionally thought to be achieved through physical description. What I’d like to discuss in this journal entry, however, is how physical description also needs to contribute to a character’s personality, and how it’s actually characterization, more than anything, that helps the readers visualize a character.
Character Description:
Take a look at the following example.
1) When I entered Mr. Jed's office, he stood and smiled at me. He had a big nose and short, brown hair. He wore a dark suit. I shook his hand.
What do you know about Mr. Jed from this br
