I never felt the urge to do fan art till Mass Effect. After several failed attempts at the picture I really wanted (turian anatomy is complicated!), I ended up with a little Tali pinup for my boyfriend.
Well a couple of days ago I drew Tali and that piece become quite popular, so I decided to draw one more Tali just to show how much I'm grateful for your views, comments, faves, downloads etc. Thaanks guys and gals!
Whew! This is a bit more ambitious than my usual doodles. My original idea was to have Tali killing geth, but I actually have a soft spot for the geth so instead she's standing on a cannibal and surrounded by smoke. Close enough. The drone and omni-tool were drawn without references because I was running out of patience.
In case you couldn't tell, I have a particular fondness for Tali. I recently upgraded the art program I've been using and wanted to test what I could do. One of these days I'll actually get around to drawing other characters from Mass Effect, like Garrus or Legion...
Submission for 's "Then and Now" challenge. (Third place winner)
My goal was to show Tali's character progression in the Mass Effect universe. She's walked a long path, from a wide-eyed pilgrim, to a stalwart member of the Normandy's crew, to becoming an admiral (even if in title only) of the entire Migrant Fleet. And let us not forget the womanly growth that accompany her emotional ones. No matter how much her suit changes, one facet of Tali remains ever constant; she has and will always remain loyal to her captain, her hero, her lover, Commander Shepard.
Oh, snap, guys. I never played the games myself, but this trilogy is my husband's absolute favorite and he has been dying for me to draw her. From the parts I saw, Tali was definitely one of my favorite characters. Who was your favorite? This piece turned out rather well, I think. I'm quite proud of it. What do you think?
